Thankfully all spoilers have been properly placed in tags, so those that don't want to get spoiled are safe.

Well when you put it that way... I'm gonna post them anyway.

Game Freak is way more quiet with the Pokédex than usual. By now we'd usually get most of the full dex, barring any "secret" Pokémon (like Celebi and Deoxys). Definitely the three starters would have been revealed in full by now.

True. The final evolutions of the starters are why we often pick certain starters. Especially when it comes to secondary typing.

On a side note, I bought Black2 today just so I can have the supplemental training features of it. X may be coming out next Saturday, but I'm impatient for new stuff.:D

Its really just the change in release schedule that's throwing us off.

Normally the game would come out in Japan or other overseas markets several months before the US, or most other places. That gave players and bloggers some advance time to play through the game and put up Pokedexs online.

But X & Y were planned for simultaneous worldwide release. If not for the leakers we'd all probably be going in blind.

I'm usually not very bothered by leaks since I tend to avoid media coverage of most games past their initial debut, but this is something of a special case. It's as if the minute one of my friends hears so much as a rumor about either game, I'll have it regurgitated onto me instantly. I'm trying to go in blind too, but I've ended up hearing most things through hearsay. Loses a lot of the magic.

Another thing I noticed from the leaks:

There is a distinct lack of new water Pokémon! Only one more besides Froakie's line. I like this as water Pokémon swarm regional dexes far too much. There may actually be a reason to use the water starter for once.

Apparently Vivillion is number 666 in the dex, i can't wait to read those creepy pasta! And maybe nickname it Satan.

One thing i hope from X and Y is that some of the clothes you can put on your character is from the other games, i'd love to dress Serena up as May or Dawn.

I'm kind of expecting that the past protagonists' outfits would be available.

Remember that one scene from Digimon Adventure 2 where Agumon is trying to get Black Wargreymon to be hi's friend? So,ebody should make fanart of that with Charmander and Charizard X.

I think it was less Agumon trying to befriend him and more Agumon trying to get Black Wargreymon to calm the hell down.

So apparently some guy on 4chan, claiming to be a representative on Nintendo, said all the leaks thus far are fake and Nintendo is doing this as a distraction. The people in Canada and Japan, as well as reviewers were given fake copies. While my BS-meter is really filling up, there are a few people clinging on to this hope as they hated the leaks so far, especially regarding the starters.

I don't know, how can people take into these so wholeheartedly?

Personally, I kinda hope that is true because it'd be the greatest trolling ever. Granted I know it's probably not, but I'd get a kick out of it was true.

Can you imagine the refunds they'd have to make? :lol And the apologies to all the gaming journalists?

I would love that to be true just for hilarity's sake :lol

Haha I can't believe the amount of people in denial that think that's true. It would make more sense if there was a day 1 patch unlocking more of the dex, but that ain't gonna happen either.
The only things I know are that the 70 ish pokemon rumour has turned out to be true and that's it, I've avoided all the imgur links so hopefully I'll still be surprised. Guess the surprises might just be few and far between =p

Probably part of the mini-game, or just a very lousy camera.

Tyranitar was pretty cool, but I wasn't a big fan since his sand stream made things annoying for me, too.

With the exceptions of areodactyl and gyrados, the leaked megas are really starting to match that "fake" list of what pokemon were supposed to get one.
