Really feels like the Nin/Ninja Steel Lion Fortress is missing that. The lion fortress almost feels like the outter wall of that castle. Like they were supposed to go together. |
Candy Blog update, Jackpot Striker is out monday, and the turrets are separate pieces! That's neat.

Really want to buy an extra set to paint them into those colors. |
Looking good. I really need to get back into minipla, haven't bought any since RyuTeiOh.

But now I got Kyu Cerebus on the way, and PatKaiser. Need to track down other Kyurenoh pieces and the other mecha, Jackpot Striker LupinKaiser, an extra set of the Lupin Dialfighters, and Kaiser X. And then still need to get two of the Daizyujins and Dragon Caesar, along with the Kaku mechs. The Kaiser X complete form really sold me on getting back into Minipla, and definitely had to get Cerebus. That tri-puppy style is too awesome to pass up. And because of that, will have to get the rest of Kyu kits somehow. And now Desktop Army(non-sentai) has actively got me hooked too. But those will have to wait for now. Really wish hobby stores did more imports on sentai minipla. Finding them can be so hit or miss, and ebay prices are always so gouging. I'd use amiami, but I don't want to have to mess with selling the extras. Finding Kyurenoh parts for a decent price is going to be a pain. And I'm behind on Shodo releases too. Going to try to eventually track down all the classic riders, and anything not covered by MRS on the forward riders. I have the complete MRS collection except for the beta wave that came before MRS of Blade, Garren, Faiz, Faiz Accel, Ryuki, and Knight. |

I never realized how much I needed a winged tri-puppy megazord until right now. xD (Which is rather ironic on so many other levels.) |

It's so close but so far. One peg fits but the distance is wrong so the other peg gets blocked by the back-leg so the best you can do is a very weird angle that's only attached one side, which just looks stupid. It would neaten the display up a bit if you could, as if you want to display everything Kyuranger forces you either into duplicate mecha or loose Voyagers.

But either way, my Kyurenoh is going to have wings. Winged Tri-Puppy is going to form one way or another. xD *Edit* Looks like it does fit on Kyurenoh! Washi Pink So it may mean swapping the legs of an extra Leo Voyager to Cerebus if his has the smoothed over ones like the DX. So I will have to look into getting an extra Washi Pink now. Though, can anyone check if the wings themselves can plug directly into the back of the Kyrenoh back ports for more articulated wings? The shoulders block them so much it'd be nice to angle them up some. I'll be able to check myself in a few weeks if not. *Edit2* Kerebrius Looks like the Cerebus has them whereas the DX doesn't. So yay! Winged Tri-Puppy is a GO! |

Ps, anyone know whats up with the minipla LVP sets after Rex? Are they doing splash magic and the two new torsos? |

5 boxes. It it will be bigger boxes (like hyperresha boxes I think), and it be a little bit more expansive too. 5 boxes for what I believe to be : Lupin Magnum, Splash, magic dial fighter, siren striker and victory striker. I think they didn't want to release only one box each month so we will have to wait that the last striker to be shown on the screen to have the minipla version of it for all of them... As they did for for VS vehicule 03, there are no individual set for now (It could change as pre order for individual set of vs vehicule 04 was opened later than the big box) Neoxul |
This is kind of a rhetorical question, because I know there's no way for us to know for sure, but you think there's a chance we'll get some Dairanger Super Minipla within the next two years or so? My holy trinity of Super Minipla is Zyuranger, Liveman, and Dairanger, and since 2/3 of those already exist I'm hoping I'll get the third somehow.

IIRC, Washi Voyager plugs in just fine if you swap Shishi Voyager's feet with one another.

Potentially, at one point it was suggested up to maybe Magi or Hurricanger. Part of the idea of super minipla was to do some random areas(Golion and anything else that'll sell and do well), some old areas that didn't get anything good, and then other series that didn't have that great of ones. So they will likely skip Geki, Bouken, and so on up. GoGoV and Megaranger as well as TimeRanger are likely though. But Magi didn't get that great of a release iirc, and there were some other spotty ones between it. Aba might get a redo, but that's fully unknown. The super minipla concept came out of the want to do Zyu stuff and classic with at least Deka/Geki level engineering. Which tbh, a strong reason it was done was entirely for the Gouryujin, but it's been proving pretty popular and is likely to stick around to cover what it can that needs it and some extra fun stuff like Voltron. Though how long it stays is really dependent on how profitable it is or not. The loss on revenues shouldn't impact BoJ too much, but the areas it does impact aren't a charity either. Speaking of Voltron, has anyone checked what the arm peg size is on those? Need to know if they match the Geki/Deka/Bouken/Gokai standard or not. Also have yet to check if they adjusted the standard for Lupin/Patren. I know there was some brief discussion about how older minipla have some wear and tear aspects that created loose limbs that was startng to create some thinking about being addressed through a slight mushroom peg style(small ridge, not a massive one), but don't know if they went for that or not. It came up after some kits had some issues where limbs would outright fall off in previous years. Particularly dekawing robo's legs. I know on Gouryujin they reversed the pegs for other reasons that we'll see why on later. Mostly want to know on Good Striker/Jackpot Striker because that'll determine if I get an extra or not of it, or if I look into an extra Emperor X to do more varied limbs of other sentai on it. Like Gokai arms etc. Quote:

Ah, neat. That's another Voyager down, though I'll have to buy Cerberus if I want to use up the others.

If you do 4 and 4 (Lion and Kerberios) then you'll need a double for Ryuteioh's other arm. And if you do washi pink backpack wings, then you'll need 2 extra limbs/arms. So far that's the only thing that's annoying in the Kyu kits/figures. I mean I like that they made it so that it's swappable and all that, but we really do need one later special add-on limb to avoid doubles. Cause you have 4 limbs per 2 core bodies. Then 1 additional arm. So that still leaves something without an arm or a leg. So even a special additional recolor of the orion battler arm would be enough. Or some kind of ship armada in that style with a couple different ones. Which could also help fill out Orion's space platform too. So maybe at least 2 retools of that style. Though 4 would be good too, so that super kyurenoh can have a dual weapon. Would potentially be a good spot for a Rider crossover element too. Hibiki twin voyager clubs, or Fourze Space shuttle sword. Or whatever else they can make to fit the simplified Orion Voyager style of arm, maybe legs(denliner could work again too for that). That's all it really needs. Some kind of simple fluff filler style ones that are easy retools of Orion Voyager or the ookami voyager or Chameleon voyager or swordfish voyager. |

Anyone get Minipla Ninja/Shogun Mega(falcon)zords yet? If so, are they compatible with Titanus?

my kits finally arrived!
Put together Kerberios already and Ryuteioh, as well as Super shishi. Need to do the other 9 voyagers still though. (Well, 10. Got two of shishi to do the upgrades from Super shishi and Kerberios to it.) Am slightly kicking myself though, Super Shishi is really awesome with how it provides an extra arm, and makes some sweet blaster arms. Might need to order an extra of it. Also kicking myself for not ordering two kerberios. *Edit* Still putting them together(19 of 28 boxes done so far.), but for those that had "extra limb" issues. Bird/Washi Pink on the back of Kyurenoh, and do Ryuteioh with Kerberios, and put the extra 2 kyutamas in ryuteioh on the back with arms folded down. And now you have all 9 limbs on a mecha combination with no extras and no one missing an arm and no repeats. Works as Kyurenoh as the front of Ryuteioh combined too, but since Kerberios you have to disconnect two kyutama for the arms, it gives better display storage for that. Otherwise, you can use Super Shishi as an arm to bolster it by one if needed if you don't want repeats. Also should work as an arm on orion battler too. Kind of actively want a second super shishi now to paint up in Geki Rinshi Rio colors. *Edit2* 4 more to go! And also, Kerberios while freaking cool, after having really seen his pronunciation, now all I keep hearing is Care Bearious and the kyutama on the torso doesn't help. xD Times like this makes me wish there was a Power Rangers Sentai Abridged. |
Woah! Is this Minipla Galaxy Mega? I love the use of clear parts.

Ha, I heard "Cal Bearious" but yours works better.
Way to go churning through the kits! |
2 left, but they are the repeats of Shishi Voyager.
Been debating on part swapping with Care Bearious so I can have a dark Kyurenoh, but not sure yet. Not sure how much I like the gray waist on Kerberios over the black, but I also don't feel like waiting a month for a second Care Bearious either. Will debate on it later if Lupin Rex shows up again at the shop I use. They had Kerberious voyager for 2 USD, so it's really tempting if the shipping weren't so high. And I do still have to look into Desktop Army and the newest Shodo-X. Am planning to do a whole bunch of pictures once I can get a place setup for that. I haven't done kit pics in forever, so I'm going to have a lot of fun mixing and matching for pics again. Which btw, with washiPink on the back it looks freaking gorgeous. And even Washi Pink as an arm or foot and only the wings on the back, still flipping gorgeous. |

If this becomes a power rangers team one day. I see it being a part of SPD. May be a C Team. This looks Very SPD like to me.

Super Mini-pla are allowed here right?
I finished Red Saruder/Shogunzord. Ended up using the stickers instead of painting it and I have to say, it turned out a lot better than I was expecting. Instead of sanding the pegs for the leg issue I just shaved a small bezel onto the hexagon shaped holes which did help it rotate easier. https://i.imgur.com/VQEtP3f.jpg |
Question about that mecha: I can't tell whether the ball joint connection to the arms is just really, really weak, or if I'm not applying enough pressure to snap them into place. The instructions aren't explicit about this, and I don't want to end up breaking the arms or shoulders because I was trying to force something it wasn't supposed to do in the first place?
