I'd potentially be interested in SHODO-O's Build figures if someone just wanted the Ex-Aid stuff

The Gaim P-Bandai SO-DO sets are up for pre-order on US P-Bandai site
https://p-bandai.com/us/item/N2567437001001 https://p-bandai.com/us/item/N2567438001001 They come in at $65 per set. |
Anyone here a SHODO collector but not fond of the Showa guys? I'm thinking I might start a SHODO Showa Rider collection...

Has SHODO ever done re-issues? Because a bit of searching is quickly turning up that trying to get anything more than a few waves back is impossible.

Hope y'all wanted SO-DO to continue being absolutely batshit!
https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0213221931.jpg https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0213222204.jpg They're doing these!! As the first figures in Wave 6! They even note how Zi-O Decade Saber is "the most Bandai friendly design ever". I mean, maybe we should have seen it coming with Decade Complete and that accessory pack, but... man, it's just SO good to see these. And in typical SO-DO fashion they can't just, like, do these figures as well as they can and leave it there, no no; they have to include a bunch of cool extras! So first off? Decade Complete 21 comes with an extra holstered Ridebooker sticker for Ride Plus Decade - y'know, the figure from 2019 - and then in a similar fashion to the Progrise Key-holding hand for Zero-One, Zi-O Decade Saber comes with a Ridewatch holding hand with a bunch of optional stickers for whichever Rider you want to have him start borrowing the power of! https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0218171641.jpg https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0213222218.jpg https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0219105425.png Get a load of this RIDICULOUS cape! https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0213223340.jpg Oh, yeah; he comes with the Neo Diendriver! Looking pretty nice! https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0213223425.jpg And as one last surprise for this wave? The accessory pack comes with one more thing -- a fully 3D Blade King Rouzer for Grand Zi-O! https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0218172248.jpg Wave 6 releases in April! This is a delay from March but with everything going on it's understandable, and when the content's this good I'm happy to wait a little! https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0219113015.png |
Also. Uh. THEY'RE DOING ALL THE CSM OOO FORMS!!!! Yeah, Saramiuo was really popular so they went ahead and done the rest! There's not much to say here - they kind of speak for themselves! - but they're two Premium Bandai packs at 4200 each, with the Memory and Nobunaga forms (the first two here) being one pack and the other two being another. It's just... god, did anyone ever think we'd get here? This is EVERY OOO form in existence. Every single one. This line is ridiculous and I love it

Now if Seihou could get in on doing these that'd be greeaaatt...

Also, I'm gonna give up saying what SO-DO will or won't make. The other future OOO combos were, like, outside of the top ten "What is tonight's SO-DO Chronicle news" guess I had with myself. I was putting more money on Agito. |

SHODO hasn't really done re-issues but it has done riders previously done in the past with SHODO-X which is still in scale.
For example Kabuto has appeared as both SHODO and SHODO-X. So again, almost anything goes. |

Also no SO-DO releases in March, that sucks. |
Annoying there's another delay, but it at least gives me chance to catch up on my Transformers, So-Do and now Shodo backlog.

The really major thing here is that it's completely shifted all of SO-DO Saber's releases to a month later. I wonder if that'll be fixed when the next Rider's SO-DO waves come around, or maybe we'll get one less Saber wave? |

SO-DO can easily catch up if the next rider series is a lone rider with no alternative forms!
:D Also next wave is definitely X Swordsman and Primitive Dragon right? |

It was originally meant for March so Primitive Dragon is a definite. What we got left right now is...
Saber Primitive Dragon Saber Dragon Arthur Saber Emotional Dragon Saikou X-Swordman Saikou Shadow (?) Falchion Lucifer MBJR ZAIA I could see them saving the movie duo for Wave 7 since that was supposed to come out in April, which is when the movie's DVD releases. Can definitely see a 01 release or two in Wave 6; I'm betting on them wanting to get Lucifer out quickly. And maybe Dragon Arthur or Saikou Shadow? |
Perhaps a mecha King of Arthur for Book "5.5"? Or more likely a dragon
|
Would they be able to fit a mecha in the normal waves? How did the .5 waves handle it before?
|
.5 five waves consisted of (from my experience with Zero-One) 4 boxes that are double thickness of a standard So-Do box, which is also proven by the Diago Speedy taking up two boxes in a regular wave. Breaking Mammoth was made up of 3 .5 size boxes, so a mech would take six slots of a normal wave. The thing is that a lot of the parts are much thicker than a standard So-Do box would allow, preventing mechs from being in the main line.

Double post, but I feel this is different enough to warrant it.
I am full of regret I didn't buy Den-o wave 1 sooner, cause atm it's pretty hard to find. |

The real trio of Kamen Rider Saber are here!
https://i.imgur.com/AhDoiPR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ySRhMQb.jpg SO-DO Saber Book 4 is great because it comes with so many unique characters/suits and no filler army builder characters. Only Touma himself is repeated twice. Having already completed Buster, I just had to pick up the 2 other Sword Riders. First off, both were a massive pain. Kenzan has a ton of stickers that don't want to fit right because they are on curved surfaces. And because of his unique designs, there's not much of a choice with paint. I also straight up mixed up his two sword stickers so I will eventually have to print my own. I painted his weapon a more realistic metallic green, instead of that bright yellow-green plastic color. I like this figure, very dynamic looking, but he seems a bit taller than he should be. Also his dual weapons throw off his balance for any poses you might be trying to do without the stand. Slash... wow took a lot of paint. Which I guess is fine because he is worth it, but he needs brown, white, and tan- colors that are a pain to paint. I mixed a lot of brown paint and painted in a bunch of areas and then realized there was still a lot of places to paint; so I had to re-mix more brown and couldn't get the color just right. Also his chest armor looks oddly flat. His wrist doughnut things had no sticker at all and I just painted the whole thing tan after trying to paint it two colors for accuracy. Good luck to anyone trying that! I think Slash ended with the most paint of any SO-DO I've done so far, beating out Gaim. You can't see it but I panted the inside of his armor metallic blue which is more visible in the show. These Sword Riders are super cool and I love how different they look from each other and don't follow a template like the Seiken Swordriver users. I don't know yet if I want to do the other figures from Book 4. Dragonic Knight looks mighty fine but I don't really collect the super forms. Let me know if anyone wants to trade for some base forms, I'm looking for Blades and Espada. Also I really wish all the Saber figures came with an angled sword hand like Gaim! |

Also thanks for the warning on Slash, I'll make sure to mix lots of paint if/when I do paint him. |

And also the sword is prepainted a little and I didn't want to go over it again. However, now that I look at it, I might just paint the sword by itself. |
