I like Sun and Moon to an extent but its more like Battle Frontier except with an actual game its based on.

It seems like a season that is about 90% filler and 10% plot. Which I suppose does help it tie in when it needs to but the trials feel quite quick and any time there's plot going on, after a few episodes the series is back to how it was before.

That said, the recent episodes (effectively the start of the "new" season) do seem to be changing things up a bit by gradually including new elements. I also think the Bewear that takes Team Rocket back is surprisingly innovative and has yet to show any signs of slowing down. And now we find out this Bewear is actually a female, and it's the mother of a Stufful that was at the Aether Foundation (Stufful playing with the copter to fly them back was so funny).

Out of all the seasons though, I feel in this one especially EVERY Pokemon that Ash has is chosen for promotional reasons, even if they are only temporary like Poipole. But then you've got the Dusk Form Lycanroc which is a walking Ultra ad.

On a different subject, I have skipped Pokemon Let's Go. I have decided that I am better off waiting for Gen 8 on the Switch to come out next year because Let's Go is a Pokemon game that I don't really feel is aimed at someone who has played the series to death.

I played series to death but I been having a lot lot of fun with game. Nintendo aimed for people who only played Pokemon go mobile game as entry to main line games. But for me I find as a nice little fun game just play.

Plot Twist: To tie into Detective Pikachu the film, the game will get a sequel.

Plot Twist 3:

They give Detective Pikachu a complete overhaul, release it on the Switch and change the characters so it ties into the movie more.

One thing I hope for tomorrow is the announcement of an update for Pokémon Bank that allows for 3DS-to-Switch compatibility, so we can transfer from Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon to Gen VIII.

Well that's certainly interesting. Gen 8 will be the Gallar region based off of England. Shame we didn't get to see the legendaries but the starters are all cute

Honestly there are 4 main factors I want
1: Decent postgame content like another battle frontier
2: Skippable tutorials
3: A story that's different from the norm but not a "This will take the controls away for quite a while and can't be skipped"
4: For the love of god bring back the PSS

A skippable tutorial would be nice, but after Sun and Moon, which felt like the tutorial ended about 30 minutes before the end of the main story, I would settle for a tutorial that is just one and done :lol

Anyway, I have come to peace with a dick rival never coming back. What I would prefer though, is an interesting rival, at least. I adore Sun and Moon, but I'd much rather take a baseball bat to Hau than be his friend, and Gladion just felt like discount Silver what with his story.

Also, more Mega Evolutions, please. That was a neat mechanic for making shit Pokemon viable.

5: Bring back Trainer Customization.

Also @Matrixbeast, it was confirmed Armored Pokémon will be Gen VIII’s version of Mega Evolution.

Some of the Pokémon confirmed to be getting Armored Evolutions were Charizard, Flygon (Possibly since fans weren’t happy he didn’t get a Mega Evolution), Mewtwo, and even Zeraora

Not even Game Freak should be dumb enough to remove such a highly requested feature, especially after backlash for undermining it in gen 7.

Also that's not confirmed, that was from a 4chan rumour that got the name and England setting right, but it got a detail wrong on the legendaries, who are clearly canines judging from the logo. Would be cool though.


Also I DEMAND Knights of the Roundtable and Nessie legendaries. Lady of the Lake, Excalibur and Black Knight would be appreciated if they don't do Black Knight for Lancelot. Also I haven't checked the Galar map for UK comparisons so if Wales is there we might get Celtic mythology themes legendaries

I actually like all of the starters again this gen. I'll go with Scorbonny not just because of fire tradition though. I also just really like bunnies heh.

My wife is super excited to get Grookey. But we also only have 1 Switch, so hmm.... Problem there.
