I guess the 4chan rumor of the Naruto figuart line being dead was probably wrong after all.

That looks to be an identical setup to the first time it was shown off at SDCC last year (which the second Toyark-watermarked one clearly is from). I think it's just a picture from that somebody's passing around for whatever reason. Nothing actually new here, unfortunately.

It's cool, no harm done. FN-2199 had his backstory fleshed out in the Before the Awakening Novel, a collection of tales that predate episode 7, but grow it's world a bit. He's one of Finn's squad mates along with Slips & Zero. Slips is the trooper who smears blood on Finn's helmet at the films start. Nines feels betrayed that Finn, who for all intents & purposes was their team leader, turned his back on all of them.

Finn possibly recognizing Nines may be why he couldn't quite take him down in the film. But it still begs the question why he didn't react more to Nines' death after that. But yeah the novel helps explore their dynamic and set up that eventual confrontation at Maz's castle.

Oh man the FO Stormtroopers are the best, after the original ones had such weird leg articulation I was blown away a bit by these guys.

Also super glad I ordered four and two riots ohohoho

After hearing how great the TFA troopers are I’m arguing with myself if I should keep the pre-order for Phasma up. It’s the same base mold with slightly sized-up parts to make her taller, and I like that she’s taller, and she would go well with the troopers if I get my hands on them.

But she was such a huge disappointment in the movie… I know she will be back, but I can’t decide if I want this figure or not. I guess I still go for it, hopefully get a great figure and hope that she gets a more meaningful role in the next films.
