Playing Dust: An Elysian Tale... Well, didn't expect all the furries.

Persona 4 Golden
Shut up Teddie! Finally, some gameplay. I think I spent like an hour trying to fight that bird boss. There's a shitload of exposition in here and I just want to see more of the deeper story and fight damn it! Devil Survivor Overclocked Still a grind fest. Oh my god, there's so much fucking grinding in this game. I like the mechanics and I'm intrested in the story but the grinding brings the game down. I'm still on day 3 and tried the Beldr mission many times and always failked. Granted, I've been getting better but now I refused my demons and have to grind all over again... |

Yeah...that bird boss...some say it's the hardest in the game. |

It's the lack of personas and skills, that thing mudered me. :P |

The rest of the game is great, but the first half hour of the game is suuuuuuuch a grind to sit through even more so if you've played through it multiple times. Rest assured that the game starts to open up and gives you more freedom after that fight. |
I played the game on Normal mode so it was more annoying then anything.
|
Got Transistor today, I've been looking forward to it since I really liked Bastion and it's Supergiant's second game. The gameplay is fun, but like Bastion the real draw is the presentation. It's a beautiful game, and it has a great soundtrack. Really enjoying it so far.

When Dynasty Warriors Gundam was first released, the critics hated it, but the fans loved it just like with all Dynasty Warriors games. Oddly though a lot of revisionism began with the critics as the years progressed, with many ending up speaking of it favourably and so while being a Gundam hype I decided to give it a go and my God it is fucking AWFUL.
Fixed inverted camera, stiff, clunky controls and cheap game design. I turned it off in like ten minutes. |
I heard that the later DW: Gundams got better with those but still have repetitive design.

Assassins Creed: Revelations. Not a fan really; amped up the difficulty and reduced the content too much.
Still worth a purchase for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33_nFoGsOiY |
It's the weekend! So I finally got to sit down and play the first twenty minutes or so of Left Behind.
At first I thought it was pretty cheap to just do a flash forwards in the main game and release the content that happened during that as a DLC but this also appears to be focused on Elly, giving us more about her than we got in the actual game. I hope we get something like this for Joel at some point. In terms of the gameplay, I haven't done a whole lot yet, mainly poked around a snow covered, decaying shopping centre but the environment is well designed and showcases how much the devs have found their feet with this franchise. I don't think I've ever played a game before where it starts rough around the edges and smooths out as it goes along. Sorta like a TV show. |
Persona 4 Golden
Shut up Teddie! Stupid King boss... SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked And grinding... Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate And more grinding.... Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director's Cut I'm on the stupid missing link part of the game and good god this sucks ass. I hate the fact that the game takes away your abilities. Not only that, but this section feels really poorly designed in comparison to the main game. I'm not even sure I'm interested in the plot anymore due to how long this stupid abuduction missing link shit has gone on. And yes, I know Missing Link was DLC. But I think that games should have a certain point you have to pass in order to play the DLC. Its really annoying when shit resets or I don't have all of my skills or some bullshit. You can defintley tell I'm in a bad relationship with games right now. |
Finally bought South Park and can't wait to get started. ^_^
Hundred (fifteen) percented Dust just in time last night. |
Got back to playing Conception 2, got stuck in a boss fight with a Dragon named Satan.
That things haaaaaard. |
Playing Legend of Dragoon, I fucking love this game since I was a kid.
|
Only got to play Watch_Dogs for about an hour and won't get to touch it again for a week. Haven't experienced enough to really judge it (especially since the servers, predictably, are having issues so I couldn't do any of the multiplayer aspects), but it's not bad so far. The one-button-to-hack mechanic, though, is soooo welcomed over silly minigames or whatever else could have been thought up. At the same time, it can be kind of annoying... Such as my first death in the game, where I accidentally blew up a circuit breaker I was standing right next to because I didn't know what it would do.
|
I finally beat Satanael in Conception 2! ...I feel like crying.
|
Getting around to finally finishing Battle Ride War in preparation for 2.
The lock on and driving controls could be better but I forgot how fun this came can be. They do a good enough job of keeping every rider distinct, even though the gameplay remains unchanged. This game really makes you hate Shocker Troopers though... |

Think Dynasty Warriors or Devil May Cry kind of game. |
Just played the first track of Mario kart 8, i freaking love it! It's taking a while to upload it to Youtube.
|
Still been plugging away at SCII to try and finish up Weapon Master mode. Almost there as well. Just have a few more missions to do and some extras to buy.
|
So me, my brother and my cousin played all the cups in Mario kart 8, if your on the fence with the WiiU... I can guarantee that a Wii U is worth buying for this game alone, it has some of the funnest tracks in the series, probably the best selection for the retro tracks.
I haven't had this much fun playing with my family since Smash bros Brawl man it was amazing. I teared up in the N64 tracks seeing levels from the very first game i ever played made me feel 5 again. :) |
I'm thinking of going back into skyrim soon. I'm planning on going with a (surprise surprise) Archer character build.
|
I was starting to think Left Behind was getting sorta boring until I played the Spooky Town section of Mallrats which was both insanely heart-warming, fantastic character focus for Ellie and downright hilarious. I have fallen in love with this DLC.

It feels great to play Skyrim after so long.

Persona 4 Golden
Kanji. Ohoo Kanji. I knew about Kanji's "dark secret" going in from an Extra Credits video about gays and homosexuals. But I was still shocked when I saw it. Its just so ambiguous in some spots and blatant in others I can't really understand. The really blatant stuff is mostly visual stuff and auditory, the locker room, him wear near no clothing, the men asking him over, the insane gay accent. But it was super ambiguous in what they were saying. "Girls are mean" or something like that. Dude! Just say it straight up. I just rescued him, so I don't know where this plotline is going to go, but I'm interested to see what he does in battle. Borderlands Got more Vault keys. Um, yay? Deus Ex Human Revolution DC God this Missing Link part is annoying. I just want to get back to the amazing main game so badly. They make you retread the same 3 or 4 areas for like 10 objectives and its uber annoying. Granted, I'm in boss territory now but good god was that section utterly boring. |
I'm also going for an Archer playthrough.

I've been playing Bioshock Infinite over the week. It was slow in the beginning and I didn't like some of the forced Narrative things they did but as the game progressed I am absolutely in love with it now. The battle system is fun, and I love the Vigors especially Murder of Crows lol. Booker and Elizabeth are great characters, and the intrigue with the tears and the world and everything has definitely made this a lot of fun. A wonderful experience so far.
I also restarted playing Legend of Dragoon from the Playstation with my friends. It's so much fun, one of my all time favorite games and everybody should play it. |
I've noticed something weird with Mario kart 8.
Some of the music sounds similar to songs from other franchises. Part of the ghost levels song sounds like a song from Nightmare before christmas and i swear part of Rainbow road sounds like the moon from Ducktales. |

Played more Left Behind. It seems like the game should be boring, but Ellie is such an enjoyable character to play as that having the horror of the present punctuated by the wonders of the past really works well.
That said the lesbian subplot...kinda knocked me for six. Like isn't Ellie like 13 years old? Maybe it just shows how old fashioned I am but I don't generally expect romantic subplots with children. |
Just brought Mega Man V for GB and Mega Man Xtreme 2 for GBC on the 3DS.
Having to use B to attack and A to jump on the 3DS is messing me up, plus Xtreme 2 is kicking my ass. What is it with the GBC and making MMX harder than diamond? |
Had a random thought while playing Skyrim.
How come no one in Fallout ever thought to make bows and arrows? They have to scavenge for everything, usually inside some Ghoul infested horror of a building, to the point that bullets are a premium. And break. You'd think, atleast for hunting food, they would've thought bows and arrows. They have enough metal laying around. And one damn bow must've survived the end of the world. |
