I did the sword and the organge on the hilt and it looks awesome. I also was really tempted to paint Buster fully gunmetal, but stopped myself due to him never being portrayed as such.

Noted! How do you mix gunpla markers? I have some gundam markers and some brushes so I could try to do some today.

You pump a little of each marker onto a small tray then just mix them with a brush. For brown you need 3 colors: yellow, red, and blue. Gundam markers are great but they dry pretty fast so you have to be quick about painting everything.

After you're done with brown, you can add a white paint marker to "Revitalize" the dried up brown and turn it tan, which is also used on Slash.

Gundam markers are essentially composed of two materials - the pigment/color and an alcohol based retarder. This is why its important to always shake them up well before using. When you apply the paint, the retarder evaporates and leaves the pigment. This also means you can add more marker paint to dried up paint to mostly get it going again.

Okay I added some black paint to the interior of Buster's armor and around his neck and mantle.

I also realized I had an unused Gundam Marker GM13 which is "metallic grey" so I tried painting the Dogouken Gekido. It's not as metallic as I expected, but I do like how it is a different color for his armor.

Unfortunately, the Gunmetal Gundam Marker is a little notorious for being a plastic-eater, so I try not to use it in places covering a large area. Otherwise, I think that would have been a perfect color. You can see I used this gunmetal color on Buster's shoulder pads, waist, and knees where those round discs are. Perhaps I will try a light dry coating of it over this metallic grey paint job later.

They're two separate figures, too! Unfortunately there don't seem to be any additional parts for his not-climax form finishers -- between that and Slash's gun, I'm assuming there's gonna be a Saber accessory pack at some point.

Super excited for X-Swordsman. It's my favorite suit in Saber so far

He's themed around comic books, so he gets those old comic book black spots. I think each color is like a panel or something, I don't super know, but I do enjoy both these designs

Okay so we've got 3 boxes left, so one is probably primitive dragon, but I really don't know what that last box will be? My best guess for the last box is that it'll be an accessory pack with like book holding hands, and a bunch of hilts, but no idea what else.

Also I just realized we all adjusted to each to 12 boxes a set real quick, like remember when we only got 6?

Given how much is in the Decade accessory box and how much space it's taking up in the lineup there, I wouldn't be surprised if we only had two boxes left and hence a single figure. Would be happy to be proven wrong, though! Slash has gotta get his gun eventually...

I'm just figuring one more box because of how the items ship. The typical set is 12 boxes, and unless the accessory pack is 2 boxes wide I think we've got a single box left aside from primitive dragon because they can't just pack a single piece of a figure in a 12 pack without it being kind of silly (like imagine getting 5 figures and accessory pack and someone's body but not their armor).

The case is 12 and Saber doesn't do dupes, so there's 3 boxes left. Two are most likely a Saber figure (For as little Saber as some waves have, every wave has had Saber himself in it). I think the last box will be Saber accessories. X-Swordsman's arm and leg parts, Slash's gun, more sword hilts, book holding hands, sword in driver, maybe 3 little pigs houses. There's plenty to work with.

Today I realized I may have a bit of a problem, but I’m not gonna address it.

This reminds me, is there a way to get more So-Do stands? I've got a few who could use some.

How many do you need? They sometimes show up in lots on yahoo auctions.

Some people 3D print similar stands, and of course, because So-Do use the common 3mm peg, you can use other figure stands.

5, maybe 6 right now.

Ex-Aid figures didn't come with any.

Also neat, might have to look around for some.

Seriously, by this point Dragon Arthur will be in the next series or a P-Bandai.

I feel like it'll be one of those late-game "we weren't able to do it early on but we have a lot of space now!" additions, like Zi-O Decade Ryuki or Another Zero-One. SO-DO has a bit of a habit of catching up with these things!

That said, I imagine it'll be without the giant arthur robot. The bike being in the normal waves says to me we're just not getting a .5 wave this time around. And also on that note, I get the feeling that we'll see the Gatriker in the normal waves, too; after these figures there's only so many actual rider suits left for the series to cover (Saber's final form, presumably a few other upgrades for other riders -- let's say 3, maybe a new endgame rider given that extra sword, 2-3 suits in the second 01 v-cin), so I think they'd start doing stuff like the Gatriker and the Megido.

They could conceivably put Arthur in a single box just containing just the left armor and sword (and I guess maybe the Swordriver with the right book slot)

Either that or in the show Arthur falls into the hands of Calibur and we get a Calibur with an Arthur attachment.

I'll be sad if we don't get a Kingexcalibur robo because I actually really like it a lot and would love a smaller version than the DX.

I forgot just how simple it is -- they could totally make it the centerpiece of an accessory box, like how Lightning Hornet's pieces were!

Yeah they really do look fantastic! The books are from saber, and I'm hoping to fill up the remaining 6 empty slots I've got in the bookshelves. I feel like my room is really coming together atm.

So I picked Brave Dragon on ebay.

Then I just had to get Buster because he's my favorite from the show.

Then I saw that So-Do Book 4 had Slash and Kenzan in the same set! Getting that would put me at all 3 of the sword riders.

So now I'm 4 riders from Saber, that's already half way to the full team!

I have to get the Blades and Espada now right??? Right??

Yuri/X-Swordsman doesn't quite count for me yet. He doesn't feel like part of the team yet.

The Trigger half exists, but it's in one of the hardest to find p-bandai sets.

One of the things I love about the So-Do Gaim sets is being able to do the arms changes we hardly saw in the show. Can't wait to get my hands on more of these
