Honestly? He was the third character I put in there because it has been so long since I've thought of Ghost that I didn't even remember him at first.

I'd say Hibiki is more like "overlook/ignore" than "hate".

It still gets a good amount of scorn, I think. This one was more a case of it fitting better than any other options. Like I have a better appreciation of Faiz than I used to, but I would never argue with anyone who didn't like it. I like Revice more than a lot of people do, but I wouldn't say that I love it; it's more like I think the show is just mid instead of terrible.

Since the question of a quaternary rider has come up, what do you think defines this type? Besides the fact that he appears fourth (but not always) and gets less screen time than the main trio, but more extra riders? That is, the classic (of course, there are exceptions, the franchise is over 50 years old) the main rider is an optimistic good guy, the secondary one is a conflicted lover to fight; the tertiary suffers the most. What does the quaternary have?
I also think we need to highlight the last rider. It's the goodie (because final boss riders are more or less justified) who becomes a rider so close to the end of the show that he's practically useless. Tsukuyomi and Juuga are the most obvious representatives, but I think there will be a lot of them in the future.

I'm again filtering this through Blade, but I think the characteristic I associate with 4th Riders the most is an ambition to be more powerful and/or important. Mutsuki wanted to be show an airport locker who's boss, Tsurugi wanted to be a real boy, Micchy #1 wanted Mai to notice all of his fedora tips and "milady"s, Hiromi wanted to be effectual, Micchy #2 wanted to be strong enough to tear down the system, etc.

"Quarternary Rider" is a meaningless term. Main Rider is obvious, second is usually easy to tell but even then it's deatable. But Tertiary? Quarternary? How are you judging the "fourth most important character"? These aren't consistent character archetypes in the same way, especially when Riders are filling more and more niches. It's a symptom of the fandom wanting 20 years of shows to fit into a neat little box than, let's be honest, doesn't make sense.

Upon thinking about it, I decided to do this template albeit in text format. Why? Outside of not knowing how to do photoshop and/or similar programs to save my own life, why not? I will also be doing the same for templates for Ultraman and Super Sentai and since, like the former franchise, I didn't watch as many shows as I would've liked on which I am really hoping to remedy somewhere down the line, I am only judging from what I have seen so far and, of course, said templates are very subject to change. I'm pretty sure a few certain choices is going to piss some people off. Please don't hurt me.

What is there to evaluate? You take the script and look at the amount of screen time and words. Pure mathematics. Perhaps dubious for an American tokusatsu due to its sitcom elements, but works in Japanese. The term is really unnecessary, but interesting and can help someone to gather their thoughts, like the templates. It is also, whatever one may say, more attention to the characters than the motley gruel called "extra riders".

Much like GuardianAngel87, I decided to do this through text 'cuz I also do not have good photo-editing software/skills, and I prefer typing anyways. Plus, I like giving my reasons for each. Also I have a lot of ties. Gonna combine the 'Best 4th Rider' and 'Favorite Extra Rider' together because quite frankly the idea of a 'Quaternary Rider' is silly, as trying to number them after the Tertiary Rider is pointless.

• Favorite Series: Tie b/n Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Gaim, and Kamen Rider Blade
  - I really love the unusual combinations the two former seasons have (video games and doctors for the former, fruit, dancing, and armor for the latter), and I love all of the characters in both seasons, as well as all of the forms, and Blade's another one of my absolute favorites, even with its slow start
• Favorite MC/1st Rider: Tie b/n Kouta Kazuraba/Gaim and Emu Hojo/Ex-Aid
  - Kouta Kazuraba/Gaim: I love how he's one of the most positive characters in Gaim, and how in spite of the things he's gone through in the story, that he not only remains the positive influence he is, but even strengthens his own resolve in spite of it; plus he's got some great forms too
  - Emu Hojo/Ex-Aid: Much like Kouta, he stays as one of the most positive characters in Ex-Aid even with the trials he goes through, and he's got some great forms as well
• Favorite Heroine: Poppy Pipopapo (I love the goofy high energy she has as Poppy and how it contrasts with how serious she tries to be as Asuna; plus love her design as Kamen Rider Poppy)
• Favorite Opening: ELEMENTS (still hypes me up every time I listen to it)
• Favorite Villain: Evolt/Kamen Rider Evol (easily one of the funnest, most charismatic, and coolest villains in any season; love all of his Rider forms)
• Favorite Basic Form: Tie b/n Gaim Orange Arms and Ex-Aid Action Gamer LV1/2
  - Gaim Orange Arms: really hard to beat how they managed to make the fruit aesthetic of the armor work, but it does and I love it
  - Ex-Aid Action Gamer LV1/LV2: I love the video game aesthetic, the pink, the anime hair, and the fucking anime eyes like wow
• Favorite 2nd Rider: Tie b/n Ryuga Banjo/Cross-Z, Keiwa Sakurai/Tycoon, Kaito Kumon/Baron, and Isamu Fuwa/Vulcan
  - Ryuga Banjo/Cross-Z: He's a very compelling character who goes through an impressive arc, plus Cross-Z has some of the best forms in Build
  - Keiwa Sakurai/Tycoon: As divisive as his arc currently is, I think it's pretty well done and built up over time, and Bujin Sword left a very strong impression
  - Kaito Kumon/Baron: Another compelling character with a strong arc and convictions, as well as a cool monster form with Lord Baron
  - Isamu Fuwa/Vulcan: A fun character, and he's got a cool final form as RampageVulcan
• Favorite 3rd Rider: Tie b/n Hajime Aikawa/Chalice, Neon Kurama/Na-Go, and Sakura Igarashi/Jeanne
  - Hajime Aikawa/Chalice: He's got such a great arc and plot despite being the third most important Rider in his season and yes this is partially to make fun of the Garren/Chalice debate, fight me
  - Neon Kurama/Na-Go: She's got a nice steady character arc, a fun Kamen Rider design, and hey, she's technically broken the trend of female Riders have one to two forms, so take THAT
  - Sakura Igarashi/Jeanne: I think she's got one of the most interesting designs with how her outfit resembles an open martial arts gi, and how it's one of the most unarmored designs I think I've ever seen
• Favorite Extra Rider: Tie b/n Ryo Ogami/Buster, Kiriya Kujo/Lazer, Desast/Desast, Hiromi Kadota/Demons, and Oren Pierre Alfonzo/Bravo
  - Ryo Ogami/Buster: Best dad, best Rider design from Saber, and has a BIG FUCKING SWORD, love big fucking swords
  - Kiriya Kujo/Lazer: Bike bro bike bro bike bro, oh and he's a fun character too)
  - Desast/Desast: Has a fun dynamic with Ren, not to mention he's got a great KR form of his own now
  - Hiromi Kadota/Demons: The hero we needed)
  - Oren Pierre Alfonzo/Bravo: Not only is he the most fabulous Rider, but he is also MISTER DANGEROUS and I love his child unfriendly design of spikes everywhere
• Favorite Evil/Dark Rider: Evolt/Kamen Rider Evol (well I figure that I could just put him down here since again, one of my favorite villains ever)
• Favorite Movie: Kamen Rider Build: Be the One (I... actually don't think I have a favorite Kamen Rider movie. Like, at all. Huh.)
• Series I Love But Everyone Else Hates: Kamen Rider Saber and Ghost (Lemme tell you, it's far easier to see people online talking shit about these two when they're really not that bad)
• Series I Hate But Everyone Else Loves: Kamen Rider Faiz and Kabuto - Kamen Rider Faiz: It's Inoue at his worst and most Inoue-y, with all of the Inoue-isms that I hate, and while I can't say I actually hate the season, it is definitely not my favorite by a long shot
  - Kamen Rider Kabuto: I just thought it was kind of boring? Not the worst season I've watched, but I didn't really fall in love with it like everyone else
• The Worst MC: Souji Tendou/Kabuto (He's not terrible or anything, and I don't hate him, but I don't like him, either)
• Character I Hate: Michinaga Azuma/Buffa (It's less so him that I hate 'cuz I like the character, it's more that I hate how people kind of underplay the things he does and it gets on my nerves)
• Best Super Form:: Tie b/n Gaim Kachidoki Arms, Ghost Grateful Damashii, Brave Fantasy Gamer LV50, Saber Primitive (Elemental) Dragon, and Ex-Aid Maximum Gamer LV99
  - Gaim Kachidoki Arms: I love the heavily armored samurai look, and the DJ Gun is one of the best ideas for a weapon in a season based around fruit and dancing
  - Ghost Grateful Damashii: I love heavily armored forms, as well as forms that combine powers together; I like that the armor plates here are of all the faces of the other Damashii forms, and how the helmet manages to combine aspects of all of the other forms as well
  - Brave Fantasy Gamer LV50: I love how the maroon and dark blue of the armor contrasts with the white and sky blue of Brave's undersuit and normal armor
  - Saber Primitive (Elemental) Dragon: The skeleton motif is great, love the giant hand grabbing the WRB, and the visor is great; I love Primitive Elemental Dragon for the same reasons, but this time he's on fire
  - Ex-Aid Maximum Gamer LV99: LARGE AND IN C H A R G E until he launches himself out of the armor to become basically Action Gamer LV2, but a cool concept and design nevertheless
• Best Final Form: Tie b/n Ex-Aid Muteki Gamer, Gaim Kiwami Arms, Cross-Z Magma, Xross Saber, Blade King, Geats IX, and Tycoon Bujin Sword
  - Ex-Aid Muteki Gamer: The change from anime hair to dreads is a fantastic idea, and the star armor is incredible too
  - Gaim Kiwami Arms: I like the change from dark blue to silver, the fruit bowl chest armor, the cape, and the helmet being the most shogun-like there is
  - Cross-Z Magma: One of my favorite things is how it looks like his vest/shoulder armor opens up and becomes his new wings, and how he changes from primarily black/dark blue to black/orange
  - Xross Saber: I really love how the change to his color palette leaves a strong visual impact, and how it can further change forms
  - Blade King: Absolutely regal, amazing use of armor and how it has reliefs of the Rouze Cards, and big sword, love it
  - Geats IX: A great example of balancing complexity and simplicity, having a distinct appearance from Geats MagnumBoost, while not being too detailed (since a lot of people have complained about 'overly complex' final forms before)
  - Tycoon Bujin Sword: Easily the best example of how repainted and retooled parts don't necessarily mean a form is bad, and I love how he just uses a regular sword as the final form weapon, no need for gimmicks

Been thinking about OOO again and the idea that Eiji struggles to keep GataKiriBa specifically in check (episode 8, he explicitly mentions that the difficulty isn't in using its multiplying power but to stop and return to one OOO) makes a lot of sense in hindsight...Eiji's real desire he keeps repressed is to reach out to everyone and help them, and GataKiriBa grants him the power to do literally that. Wish we got to see more of it!

Why haven't we gotten Michi's friend Toru to return, or the 2 Riders that bullied him and let him die ever come back?

Also, after watching the Ninja crossover, I kind of want more Rider crossovers based on whatever themes. It would be such fun, like a Dragon rider crossover or something!

I think Toru has revived like the other riders but can't find contact with Michinaga. Or, like the Keiwa`s family, died again in the commotion. The same applies to his killers: either they are wandering somewhere, or they are dead.
If we talk about off-screen reasons: the actor is busy and the helmets of the killers looked solid only in the dark. Although they could have been used in place of the pig and bat, making the story more connected.
I'm more interested in why Michinaga felt guilty for killing Jamato-Sara, but not for the death of the Jamato version of a friend. That is, judging by their communication, the whole difference between the original Toru and Jamato is that he ... well, Jamato and therefore cares about their interests, and not about the human. That is why Archimedel has not changed at all.
By the way, here's what else I noticed: Dapan, when meeting with Beroba, rejoices at the opportunity to destroy the world. This means that Ace not only kept the memories of the riders whose ID-Cores destroyed Michinaga, but also gave them back to everyone else who ever lost. So it seems to me that the chaos must have started even before the Tycoon`s desire.

Come to think of it, dragons do appear as a rider theme quite often. But in the next show, the grasshopper crossover is just what it's supposed to be. Not only is this an iconic rider theme, but there are 10 of them, which fits with the Gotchard theme.

Well, Michi didn't feel anything for the Jamato Toru because it was just a Jamato mimicking him. Sara was actually transformed into a Jamato, which meant him killing her was a much bigger deal.

And while I know there's only so many helmets to go around, the fact that they introduced total randoms as riders in the final 10 or so episodes, while the bullies who got Toru killed (And basically the catalyst for Michi's entire motivation for the first 2/3 of the show) never returned just feels like a bit of lost opportunity.

And while true that the next series is Grasshopper themed, the Ninja crossover was about Keiwa, not Ace.

A grasshopper crossover would be nice, but considering there are over 10, unless they opt to give characters like the 90's movie riders the attention, it'll just be another Ichigou showcase.

But at the same time, she turned not into a reasonable Jamato (relatively, as far as possible), but into a dumb, stupid monster. As for Toru's imitation, I would believe it if I saw the true identity of the monster. And he seemed so sincere. So it's more of a question of which is more important: the body or the mind, and the choice in favor of the body is a bit strange.
Also, Buffa does not care about all the other victims of Daichi, including those also killed by Michinaga, and already consciously. And this despite the fact that he saw Sarah a couple of times and did not seem to even talk to her.

Ace's fox theme is unique. While I wouldn't mind crossover shooters either, there are a few of my favorite characters among them. I think the choice was influenced by all the specifics of Shinobi as a likely rider this year, and the availability of the actor who played ZX.

I don't understand the concept of "Hibiki but better."

Hibiki but instead of getting cancelled after 29 episodes the rest of the show is Daimajin Kanon.

I fell off of Geats pretty hard around episode 40 and the longer that I let episodes pile up, the less I feel like trying to finish it. I just don't have the mental energy for yet another new DGP producer bad guy and there is nothing about the concept of an Evil Keiwa arc that even remotely interests me. I'm starting to think this might be the first time I DNF a modern Rider show.

Understand. I myself only recently caught up with a large batch and I can say that these are not those episodes that look better all at once. I myself just want to start Gotchard without debt.

They should get Hiroshi Fujioka (Kamen Rider Ichigou's actor) and Naoya Makoto (Akarenger's actor) to appear as a Sentai hero and Rider, respectively.

I doubt either of them really have the desire to return for a full blown series due to their age, but both shows love their one off heroes for films, especially Kamen Rider. Would be funny.

Cameos during one broadcast of Super Hero Time would be a nice decision.
