I finally got my own Kamen Rider Ghost today. I'm... sort of in the middle of the various opinions on him. The ankle articulation is really bothering me; I'll re-read the comments here in case I'm missing something, but I'm finding that just getting his feet properly tilted for his side-of-the-box pose (with the legs very close together) is much more of a problem than I'd ever have suspected. Yurusen is a great accessory, as are the swappable hoods. I wish there'd been a hand designed for holding Eyecons; the SHF designers too often miss that crucial detail. After the fiasco with Drive's Handle Ken, I'm glad we got Ghost's saber, even though I don't care for its design.

MAN, I hate this style of hips.

Still, I think there's more right with this figure than there is wrong, and I'm glad I picked it up.

Well, since he doesn't come with any Eyecons, I can see why they didn't include that.

The more I play with this figure though, the more I realize the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that he doesn't come with the proper hands needed for his signature poses. He seriously needs hands with the "two fingers up" shinto hand sign thing he does constantly, maybe a wide open palm hand for the same reason, and of course the final triangle shinto hand formation he does before his rider kick (the one that comes with MUSASHI, but not Ore. What the actual hell?)

This is some original Agito level shenanigans with the hand distribution, here. I'm tired of SHF not giving us hands that should be standard for certain characters. It's like if they hadn't included a thumbs up with Kuuga, Meteor, or Sword Form. It's like if Hibiki didn't come with his salute or W didn't come with his "count up your sins" pointing hand.

I just got around to opening my Ghost and was wondering if anyone else's rattles ?

Nothing is loose on him but it sounds like a small ball bearing is in his chest area .

There're little rings inside his torso that go around and kind of help cover the shoulder joints. They're sorta loose and shake around a bit, yeah.

I hope it's that and not like some orphan tooth in it .

The head 100% moves, It swivels side to side.
If yours doesn't heat it up a little with with hot water or a hair dryer and try moving it.
Just be gentle at first since the head and the peg are all made out of the same softer plastic type.

Tiny bits of force until it lets itself go and you should be good to go.
Mine was stuck at first until I did the good old heat trick

I think the only thing bad I can say about ghost himself is the suit. Specifically the way it is makes the toy itself feel annoying to move and manipulate.

The whole waist/torso area being covered by the jacket and what is not being covered by that huge driver and belt....it just makes getting things in the places you want them more work than your typical shf in that area.

I was suprised to see so many complaints around regarding the shoulders, but it made more sense to me when I realized their movement is not covered in the instructions. I could totally see how some are missing their intended functionality

Quick question, when does the civil war antman fig start shipping?

Also, Im reading a lot of comments about a change in plastic quality for most of ghost's joints. Is it huge difference in quality or just something minor? Ive got specter in the wings so I was curious about the new mold.

..also still really sad that Necrom, who I still haven't gotten to the first appearance of in the show, is going to be exclusive :( I love that suit design.

Also realized I probably need to pick up a tamashii stage for Ghost, though where I have my riders displayed I'm not positive that he'd actually fit in a floating pose there or not.

Yeah, that's the only Ghost design I really like but I'm not paying the Web-Exclusive price for it. As time goes on I think they might want to have room for the new Rider 1 Figuart and the Amazons which will most likely land in stores so Necrom was changed to a Web-Exclusive. But then again, Gold Drive just casually gets released in September… guess they don’t know if Ghost is popular enough to release some more figures in stores.

In case none of your local retailers have them in stock, Japan gets a restock in August I think. Either July or August. I need some too so I will throw a few of them into my order of Kamen Rider Black & Shadow Moon.

Well got my shipment notification last night. Coming on Thursday so I have that to look forward to.

Still trying to locate a decently priced Kamen Rider Chaser. Looks like we've got another Zangetsu Shin on our hands *sigh*.

If that's the case, I'm very glad I opted to keep Chaser as a preorder and skip Beat Chaser in January.

Just got my Kamen Rider Ghost. Only fiddled with him a bit but I can already say that the shoulders are 100% not a problem. The figure is designed to where you can sort of tuck the sleeves on the shoulder over the shoulders themselves, allowing you to bring the shoulders up about as much as you'd expect on a figuart.

The figure is pretty damn gorgeous looking overall. I love the compound helmet on Ghost, it's very remarkable looking.

These are just my first thoughts but I'd say it's about on part with the Gaim and Drive releases. People were making it out to be the most disappointing Rider figuart since Wizard lol

After a delay in shipping yesterday (apparently missed the delivery..despite being home, and specifically staying awake [I work graveyard] to wait for it, and never hearing them knock or anything), finally got my Ghost in.

And you know what? I really like him. Ghost Ore is far and away one of my all time favorite Rider designs, it just..really appeals to the Halloween/horror nut inside me in all the right ways. The figure feels really good and hefty. Posing him hasn't been an issue, he is catching way way more hate than he deserves. Also the first run bonus Yurusen is adorable, love her!

They have joined the pantheon on the shelf of rider-y things, part of the "shelf" of nerdy things, a proud display front and center in my living room.

And yeah, I do prefer the hood up look. Just wish I had a black light to show off the glowing details, that is an awesome touch.

So where do Abyss and Kiva-la fit into your displays? Is Abyss with the Ryuki riders? Is Kiva-la with the Kiva riders? Are they both with Decade? This has been a dilemma for quite some time for me.

Decade on both for me.

Abyss is in the middle of my Ryuki Riders. I don't have Kivala or any other Kiva figures but I likely would place her with them.

Helps that I also don't have any Decade figures either...

Being as how I have no Decade section I have Abyss standing between my Blade and Ryuki figures. Why? Because he's an Undead (Blade) with two Contract Monsters (Ryuki). As for my Kiva-La, when she gets here, she'll be somewhere amongst the mix but somewhere you can see her. XD

So when is Bluefin's release of Dacade 2.0 coming out?

Been out for a while now, my local comic shop had a shipment came in from bluefin, and this was like two weeks ago.

Bluefin can also release SHF Golden Drive according on the Diamonds retailer homepage. So just like with Gaim last year, it seems like Bluefin could be able to import Drive retail releases.

Yeah, but like Gaim that probably isn't going to be much use when all the other Drive releases are all discontinued now.

They may release Drive Type Speed if he ever got a reissue, but then everyone will be moaning because he won't come with the Tire/Effect Parts.

Yup, just like how people complained that they wouldn't be getting the back drop or stage piece with the Gaim releases. But then again, if people really wanted the first release bonuses they should've pre ordered the figure...not like they're expensive to get after the fact, I mean I see them on Mandarake for like 500 yen every now and again.

I have Abyss with Ryuki and Kivala with Decade. Might move her to the Kiva shelf someday, but really, the Decade shelf needs some variety. Without Kivala, it's three Decadse and two Diends, and that's it.

That is a bit weird they mention September, though at a guess I'd say it's Zetton getting released then. That way there's no breaks between the Ultraman releases. Will have to see when there's more info.

Yup, they’ll get their separate item listings on the Tamashii website before the pre-orders go up and then we’ll know for sure in which month they’ll come out.

I think I’ll skip Rider 1, and since I don’t plan on purchasing Ultraman and/or Alien Baltan I think I pass on Zetton as well. He looks cool though, and I’m glad they keep the Ultraman stuff coming.

But of course I really hope that eventually Ultraman X will get a figure too… sucks that they did nothing for that show so far.
