Rider and Sentai monsters aren't nearly as iconic or memorable as Ultraman monsters if you ask me. Zetton, Baltan, Gomora, Pigmon and Red King are still very iconic for 50 years.

I don't even know who any of those are outside of Baltan, and the only reason I know who Baltan is is because he is the most over produced of them.

Have they at leats done some Ultra Seven ones?

No. They're covering Ultraman at the moment because it's that series' anniversary.

Plus Zetton is way more than just a MOTW. He's iconic, far more than any Rider or Sentai one is.

Whoa, what the hell? Amazon Alpha looks like crap! I really hope this is just an early prototype or a really bad camera angle. Omega looks okay. The bikes look neat, nothing too exciting though. Is that Hardboiler new or just the old one on display because why not?

Anyways, no release date on those Amazons makes it much easier for me to purchase the new Double SHF. And if Alpha really looks like this… then I don’t need him. Sucks because I love the design, but the look of this figure is not making me want to purchase it.

Err... What exactly is it about the figure you don't like? I'm curious, because It looks fine to me.

Colors look messed up, could be the lighting but it doesn't look legit to me. Head looks really weird, maybe the camera angle but it looks wrong. And I'm not sure if the scars on his shoulders and head are sculpted, they should be.

So first impression: Nope.

I'm waiting for final pics like always of course, but this was the figure I was looking forward to see the most and it's a really disappointing first look for me.

That Neo Cyclone is one of the best rider machines I have ever seen. So badass.

Hmmm, fair enough. The sculpt looks fine to me personally, but I can see how the colors might look a little off. Feels like everything should be a few tones darker, but maybe that's just the showroom lighting.

Also. I noticed splits in the Machine Hoodie's wheels and undercarriage. Does... it transform? Like into Houdini? Now how the hell is that going to work, given SHF Specter's Parka can't come off?

Pretty sure that's what it is, pictures of figures on display can always look misleading. Certain colors don't look good with certain lights and every photo looks slightly different because everyone uses a different camera.

So I will ignore this for now, act like I never saw it and wait for the official pics and then judge the figure.

Amazon Omega looks badass though, and I love that it looks like they will include at least one of his weapons. Ideally they should include all three we've seen so far, that would be really cool.

It looks really good. Sadly the Rider 1 figure is not my cup of tea; otherwise I would buy it and the bike.

The proportions and colors on Alpha do look a little off, and the scars do seem to be painted on mostly so that is a shame. Some of the offness may just be the angle and lighting, and some stuff in the sculpt could be fixed yet. So I am optimistic.

What is interesting is both Amazons are using the old style hips. Peculiar. I really thought they were transitioning towards having all Rider Figuarts at least use the newer hips, but between the Ghost Riders and now the Amazons I guess not? Kind of a shame.

May be some partsforming going on. Even if the actual hoodie isn't inside the bike to use on a base Specter figure, the bike wings are still a required part of the suit. It may come bundled with a Specter figure that already has the Houdini parka and you just stick the bike on his back. Doubtful that they'll actually do that seeing how ghost releases (haven't) been going so far though.

Anyway, placed an order for W on HLJ five minutes ago. Wee.

I was one of the lucky few who managed to get W on AmiAmi, and now I kind of wish I went with HLJ instead. :lol

Only issue I have with HLJ is I've heard that sometimes they don't get enough stock for the preorders, but I've personally never had an issue with them regarding that.

I haven't really been burned by HLJ yet either. Got it within a minute or two from when it went up so I'm hopeful I won't have any issues. And it was like 100 yen cheaper than AmiAmi so.

Fuck it. Gotta go through HLJ. Just already had an October order started on AmiAmi so that would've been great, so that would have been nice. And naturally as I typed this he we went back up on AmiAmi aaand is gone again ugh.

And now his preordered stopped at HLJ as well.

Which was worse? This or Kuuga? I think I slept through Kuuga's initial preorder if I remember correctly, but somehow miraculously managed to snag him when ordered opened up again right before the actual release.

There hasn't been a SHF preorder this bad since the Gaim days. W went out in less than a minute on the initial batch.

Yeah, all the drops that happened today were only announced yesterday.

Guess I was lucky, I was standing at the train station, checked HLJ, saw that Double was up and ordered him alongside the green wind effect set. Minutes later I visited Tokunation and read he was already closed at HLJ too... Jesus.

I guess it's the popularity of the character and the short notice of the announcement in relation to the pre-orders going up that got people excited. Haven't seen a pre-order running out so fast in a long time.
