Because Akiba Blue and Akiba Yellow have different body sculpts. Much different body sculpts.

Looks like I will indeed be adding Ryuki and Dragredder to my collection, gotta call it quits after that though. It'll round out my main riders for each of my favorite seasons of the series, and he'll go quite nicely with everyone else I have.

Also, most of these were done before the Akiba's came out. I can't tell you which ones, but I remember seeing this blog with a lot of these done last year, long before Akiba Figuarts came out.

Your logic is sound, but I imagine that once you start working with a certain figure's shape, the process becomes easier to take apart, clean, sculpt, mold, paint, etc.

Princess Shinken Reds' are abundant and cheap. No reason to bothered by this guy making awesome customs for himself. I'm sure there have been more than a few Shinken Yellows/Pinks and Gokai Yellows/Pinks sacrificed in the name of his cause, but not enough to narrow the market of available ones.

I picked up my first Kamen Rider baddie figuart, Nasca Dopant and man, it is a beauty. Looking at the sculpt and detail combined with the impressive amount of articulation is a huge plus. The sculpt looks so good if feels...like NECA level. The plastic did feel a little different but it was pretty cool

Felt the same way when I got my Scorpion Zodiart. The sculpt and paint detail is beyond fantastic, it's insanely beautiful to look at.
