Yeah that sucks. They probably had too many upcoming toys to make all of them available on one day, but still: Announcing pre-orders for such popular items one day in advance like this is bullshit.

Keep an eye on AmiAmi and HLJ, one of them has to open pre-orders again sooner than later. I hope you get an order in!

I guess I was lucky too. My job doesn't have the best wifi and AmiAmi was seriously lagging when I was trying to place my order. But, it went through. Confirmation email and everything.

Man, I was on AmiAmi right at one, missed the initial batch, and I spent the next hour refreshing the page every 3-5 minutes, checked several times today as well, never once saw it in stock. :'(

Yeah I don't think there's ever been a Tamashii drop where I never got something I wanted from AmiAmi before. Even if I missed it for first (or second, third, or fourth) time, usually I could wait and still get it after it reopened in an hour or so. I stayed up past 2AM PST refreshing the hell out of that damn W page and saw it open twice for all of 10 seconds combined, maybe? I'm stuck waiting for a random-ass reopening to avoid the risk of getting HLJ'd in the meantime.

If you miss a 17:00 JST Tamashii drop on Amiami always stick around for the one 2 hours later. It's never anywhere near as laggy and the process is always really smooth as long as you're ready for it. It's never failed me.

Just paid for Specter, that payment request came in the nick of time. The Private Warehouse deadline for that Myth Cloth display stage I got on clearance was tomorrow, uh, today? So I'm glad I can have both of these shipped out at once.

Anyway, yay Specter. Won't have Ghost to display him with but I like Specter's design more anyway. Haven't gotten a Figuarts I cared about in much too long (sorry agito). Looking forward to getting him.

No Specter payment for me yet. I guess it's with my haul for Cell saga Trunks and Captain America. So Ami Ami probably wants to get those in stock first.

Wise choice. This isn't the first time they've pulled something like this.

Omega looks really good. Alpha does as well for the most part, but I don't know...he seems a little skinny? I keep comparing the Figuarts to the suit, and he just feels like he should be bulkier.

The color also feels off, though for obviously silly reasons. The colors on the figuarts are probably perfectly accurate to the actual suit, but the gray filter they use in the show makes everything look duller, so the bright colors just look off now. Oh well.

Also, the scars. More high quality pictures we got of the display revealed that all the scars are in fact molded detail, but...well, that may be so, but it's not super apparent. Maybe they should be deeper.

Maybe it'll be more obvious in person.

Still, I want them both. Hope we get some concrete release info soon.

Both designs seem slightly less bulky than the in-show suits, and I'm very comfortable with that. Come to think of it, it's that also the case with the new Kamen Rider Ichigo figure?

I just got my Specter today, and I was pleased to realize that one of his hands, although not designed for the purpose, can more or less hold the Eyecons. (Or at least Kanon's; I haven't tried the others.) Unless I'm overlooking molded detail, this figure looks at first glance to be much more a repaint of Ghost Ore Damashii than I'm used to with recent Rider Figuarts, even the Gaim ones. The head, feet, and jacket are new, but I'm not sure much else is. I'll compare Ghost and Specter when I get home.

I agree with all of this except the second to last sentence, if Alpha continues to look like this I'll skip him. Which is sad because I love the design, but the figure looks like a bootleg to me.

Canceled my preorder of Spectre with BBTS and went with AmiAmi through their eBay page. Cheaper and I get the bonus. Also snagged Drive Type Wild as he was only 26.00 dollars shipped. Couldn't beat it.

For the Ghost releases, the bonuses are actually in the package. I don't know that you can buy an unopened one without getting the bonus.

BBTS doesn't list or show the bonuses on their site. Could just be an oversight on their part, or they remove the bonus. Who knows with them.

Any first release bonuses that are included in package should be there for anything provided to BBTS. The only way they wouldn't be there is if they just weren't included in any stock BBTS got, and I don't see why that would happen on anything packaged internally. I know people can be a bit cynical of BBTS at times, but BBTS opening sealed figures to get at first release bonuses packaged inside or to separate figures (thinking of things like the free 7th figure from TFCC Transformer subscriptions) to sell separately would be a pretty crazy low for them to reach.

Anyways, finally opened up last month's toku SHFs; not due to lack of interest, just lack of time to be able to tinker with them out of the box. Ghost is....just fine. It's not terrible, but it's not wowing me either. It's aight. I wouldn't say I'm more excited for Spectre or more Ghost SHFs as much as I'm relieved that I didn't have a bunch of turds preordered ahead of time. I did like that the Gan Gun Saber could transform between sword & gun; normally things like that are kept to the SIC line. I like that the swappable hoods, but swapping hands doesn't feel safe considering my hands always seem to bump up against the horn on the helmet and I'd rather not think about snapping that one day. Kabuto Extender is nice but kind of ho-hum.

Dragranzer though...holy shit. I didn't realize how fucking big this thing would be. It's nearly twice the size of Kabuto Extender before you add the tail. It's definitely worth the high price, for me.

I wasn't being cynical of them, I order from BBTS a lot. I just feel it's a gamble if you get the preorder bonus or not. I've seen them selling other preorder bonuses separately, so once again, who knows with them. Guess it depends on how desperate they are to get a few more bucks outta ya.

The reason they could do that before is cause the pre-order bonuses were packed in separate boxes. In the Ghost releases' case, the bonuses are packed inside with the figures and taped to the tray. I'm sure if anyone found out that they physically opened their order and removed what was packed inside, they'd get a bunch of heat for it.
