I guess I get to debate for the next couple hours if I really want Zetton or not. I preordered Baltan but haven't gone after any other Ultra kaiju from earlier in the Ultra-Act line. I'm not sure if I should bother with any more released via SHF, at least until I get to see how the SHF Showa Ultra stuff is in-hand.

Really debating whether to pre-order this or not. I've wanted a Rider 1 in my collection for a while now, but I don't know if I want it to be this one... urg. Decisions, decisions.

I'll pass. I like the beefy nature if the suit in the movie, so this figure does not work for me.

I don't know if they couldn't justify a new buck for one figure or if they think this looks better, but the standard SHF buck with the oversized armor pieces looks weird to me.

And October is a rather heavy month already, so I don't feel like buying one and hope that I like it better in hand.

Did AmiAmi put the preorders up before the site went down for maintenance? Geez, if I missed another one...

Urgh, managed to grab Vegeta and Rider 1 but Zetton sold out before I could even click preorder :( annoying since the order I thought I made for him on Hobbysearch this morning doesn't seem to have actually gone through.

Only managed to snag Rider 1 and Shocker Troop through HLJ. Not too worried about Zetton, Bluefin should be bringing him over to the States like the rest of the Ultraman SHFAs.

Just opened Specter, messed around a bit with it. His is one of my favorite Rider designs, period, and man, Bandai really did him justice. He looks fabulous. He really does.

His articulation does leave something to be desired though. It really feels like he should have more movement in his wrists and ankles. The ankles in particular feel kinda absurdly restricted.

Like, it doesn't kill the figure or anything, but it could be a lot better. Man does he look cool though.

In other news, I was moving around my Gaim figuarts to put them on the new stage I bought, and I noticed that my Mango Baron's driver knife had vanished. No idea whatsoever when that happened or where it went to. Pretty lame. Stole Pine Arms' to replace it cause what the hell. Hopefully I can find it.

I hadn't realized (I probably missed a million posts on it) that Rider 1 comes with the rider kick effect piece. Nice! I wish more figures would.

Starting around 5:50 they have Double in their hands and damn… we all know it by now, we’ve all seen the pictures, but this figure looks so freaking good!

I know it's HLJ, but if you were as desperate as I was, they have they have the SS W available for preorder if anyone is interested. Granted, at this late date it's probably a crap shoot but it's not like I had a lot to lose.

In a perfect world, I'd be able to track down all the SHF Gokaigers and finally own them all. As it stands though, the only one available around these parts is a Gokai Yellow being sold for around US$86. Is that a good price? Should I go for it, knowing that I may not be able to buy another anytime soon?

I'd check Mandarake. You can get them a heck of a lot cheaper than that. On the first results page I see a Gokai Green (with Darin) for ¥2,000, Silver for ¥2,500, Yellow for ¥5,000, and Pink for ¥4,800.

Those are better than what I paid for mine, darnit. That reminds me, I still need to grab a Gokai Christmas.

I'm not sure what shipping would be to you, but Mandarake is eminently reliable.

Yeah the Gokaiger girls have dropped significantly in price over the years need to pick those two up at some point to finish the set.

Looking back, I should have been more patient and got the Gokaiger with the darins. Also I paid 7000 yen +shipping for Gokai Yellow! I should have waited. If only I knew they'd get cheaper over time and not disappear, could have saved a lot of cash. Haha.

Others here enabled me by pointing me Mandarake's way when I first started collecting. I'm just paying it forward! :D

Because I'm not sure if we have a separate thread for asking whether the price of a particular figure is a good price to pay, I have a couple of questions of that sort:

Is US$67 a good price for the SHF Yellow Buster and Usada Lettuce?

What about US$129 for the five Dekarangers, but with Deka Red missing his badge?

I think you can do better for Yellow Buster, but seeing your current location, I'm not 100% sure what your current options are.

Thanks for the response, Matrixbeast. You're right that I don't have a lot of options for it around here; some eBay sellers from Japan have it cheaper but many more have it at higher prices. Do you have the figure? Would you say that price is good for it? Or should I just wait (or get the Dekarangers!)?

I don't, unfortunately, so I can't comment on it's quality (Though I do own Red Buster, which is about average)
