Today I encountered beef sushi. My mind is blown.
Also, they put cheese in my salmon sushi. Interesting choice... |
Should Toei find a second partner for their shows ?

Today was a day for my army to relax with some Checker's/Rally's and roadside strawberries.

Just saw Onward, the new Pixar film.
It, uh... it's not that great. I mean, I didn't have a great time with it. No spoilers, but I thought it was going to be about something I personally connected with (a quest to meet the father who died when you were young, is this a kamen rider show or something, all dads are dead), but then it ended up being about something I had no connection to. Just, in the end, wasn't dialed into the story they were telling. The animation's solid, and the voice-acting was great (I'd much rather have watched a movie about Octavia Spencer and Julia Louis-Dreyfus's characters, they were the best part of the movie by a mile), but the story was pretty predictable and most of the gags were lackluster. If you laughed a lot at the trailer, you'll probably dig it. If you hoped the movie would be better than the trailer, probably going to be disappointed. It's not, like, The Good Dinosaur bad, nothing like that, but totally forgettable. Anyone else catch it? Thoughts? |
Onward didn't even look like a Pixar movie when I saw the trailers for it. It looks like a typical generic kids movie from Sony or Illumination.
