So I started playing the prologue of Hakuoki.
Well…I suppose the word "play" should be used a little bit loosely considering it is a visual novel after all. I don't really do a whole lot of visual novels, but I think so far the story seems pretty interesting. I'm learning a whole lot about feudal era Japan so I guess it's got that going for it. |

2. With all the radiation within Fallout's world I highly doubt braincells survive to even consider making backup weapons. Plus writers have been known to have characters do stupid things for drama, even guys like Urobuchi |

Still playing Skyrim. And I had a thought. It doesn't matter race you choose, was that thought. The abilities are so close together (As are your starting stats) you can do anything with ant type character and not suffer for it.
Like now. I'm playing a High Elf who doesn't use magic, has Heavy Armor, and uses a Great Sword. Especially since the guardian stones help you overcome whatever stats your character has at the start of the game. |

And it really depends on where and when you are. By the time of New Vegas, the NCR and the Gun Runners have the resources and infrastructure to make decent firearms a viable option for every prospector, caravaner, courier, adventurer, settler, and so on with a fistful of caps on hand. |

My main character was a Dark Elf and I never used his special ability or felt any benefits to his perks. I just liked how they look. My second was an Argonian... And that's about the only good one because of water breathing haha. |

I finished up Mask of Miracles today, now i wait for tomorrow to start playing Azran legacy.

That feeling when a random encounter in Persona charms your protagonist and makes him murder all of his teammates.

Just finished Left Behind.
I found it odd that for a game entirely built around a duo, they made a DLC entirely about Ellie and have no plans for one about Joel. It's especially weird, because out of the two there is so much more you can do with Joel as twenty years of his story is literally skipped out. The climax for the DLC is great, centring almost completely around my favourite weapon from the game, the bow and arrow. But also the fate of the medical crew on that chopper is my favourite way of telling a story in a video game and watching the Hunters fight with the Infected should have been an aspect to the gameplay in the main game too as it's great. Overall Ellie has the charms to largely carry the game on her own, and Joel's absence isn't quite as noticeable as you might think so as such this tale of how Ellie first became bitten is a fleeting, but gorgeously realised and deliciously intense little romp. |
Had a quick piss around on The Last of Us' multiplayer mode and I wasn't impressed. Not only is it really bland and generic (and I sucked my God did I suck) I don't like how you can just buy out the competition with ridiculously overpriced weapons packs.
TF2 and Killing Floor are free to play titles, so I get it, but five quid for four weapons so I can get an edge on the enemy on a fifty quid game? What a con. But then this is the company who charged 12 quid for a two hour DLC... |
Yeah, it's getting ridiculous with these free2play games going with a pay-to-win thing. Except something like League of Legends, where you only pay for skins you really like and no one person can pay to have an advantage over another person except by skill level.
|
I finished Bioshock Infinite, a hell of a game. Simply amazing, that ending was something else. I want to get the rest of the Bioshock series now and the DLC.

If you want the DLC for Infinite too... Burial at Sea is worth it only as a total package, but then is definitely overpriced by being split in two. I'm still not a fan of Clash in the Clouds. |
Didn't like BioShock 2 much, but I still wouldn't mind getting the Ultimate Rapture edition just so I can have all that content in one place now I've moved to a PS3 and need to play them again.
|
I just started Azran legacy today and i just beat the first chapter. Jesus all that was just the first chapter!? 0,0 There was just so much there! Can't wait to see what of the game is like.
So apparently this new character is called Professor Sycamore. Nintendo's gun sue themselves for ripping off the name of a Pokemon character. |
There is only one true way to play Skyrim (in my opinion), and that's as a nord! So far I'm waiting to make it to high hrothgar on account of that frost troll waiting at the top. Until I get strong enough I'll do some of the companion quest line because who doesn't want to be a werewolf.

Working on Xteme 2 after beating Xtreme 1. Grinding for DNA Souls is not going to be fun, Blast Hornet theme aside.
Also watching MK8 videos and I was wondering if Rubber Band AI made its way into this game. Getting beaten up by CPUs ruined MK:DD and Wii for me. |
Dusted off that copy of Amazing Spider-Man I bought about a month ago and played once. It's amazing how few games on my new PS3 I've actually enjoyed, I've got more out of the bluray functionality. Honestly I'm contemplating just trading in all the games I own and replacing them with movies.
Speaking specifically of the game, it's awful. Terrible level design, clunky mechanics, gameplay that is so easy it actually has to break itself to be challenging, controls that play like your gamepad is literally drowning in dogshit and the general cheapness and cowboy production of the thing is painfully obvious on my new TV. I will say I enjoyed the voice acting and dialogue and I like the subtle tweaks to Spider-Man's suit and the battle damage you accumulate over the course of a level and the combat is pretty fun even if the game is basically playing itself. But these aren't enough for me to want to finish the game. The mental patient subplot is also one of the most hilariously bizarre aspects in a game that I've played in a very long while. |
I started to replay LA Noire yesterday. It has been about 3 years since I played through it, so I have forgotten all of the answers to the questions. Of course, it also sucks that I have forgotten all of the answers to the questions. :-p
|
I beat chapter 2 of Azran legacy yesterday with only one question in mind, how is somebody who was frozen in ice for eons able to speak perfect modern english?
|
Started playing the FFX Remaster, the most dated part of the whole production is the sound design, from the atrocious dubbing, to the infuriating music to the terrible script they have to work from, yeesh.
Still the updated graphics are incredible considering the games age but the engine does let it down a little - then again I actually liked turn based JRPGs so it's not aged as badly for me as it may for others but all the loading screens are pretty annoying. |

Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut
Thank god I'm past the Missing Link part of the game but the game still hasn't given me my shit back. Persona 4 Golden Kanji's not gay, he's just bisexual. It's summertime! Is it just me, or do I find the social sim aspects more interesting the the RPG parts? Because I'm having a blast just talking to people and messing with stuff around the town. And yes, I have encountered nurse lady that's sexually harassing Yu. But I'm stuck on finding info on Rise before I could go save her. Any help? One thing I can congratulate this game on is that its pretty gender neutral. Sure, you can only play as male main character and there's some social stuff with Youske you can't skip, but I am glad everybody gets treated well. Usually with a game like this, especially social sims, its going to be targeted towards one extreme and thank god it isn't Borderlands 1 Eh. I enjoy it. Its mostly just walking around and shooting people but its fun. But there's a shitload of missions and god knows how many more there are. I'm at like level 30 though, so i don't know how far in I am. I think if I like this game enough, I'll pick up the sequel for my Vita. Despite the technical problems everyone and their mom has said already. |

My nord is now officially a werewolf with the companions! Now the only factions left that I want to join are: stormcloaks, dark brotherhood, and the thieves guild.

I beat the third chapter in Azran legacy.
First off, this is just adorable! https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zSAqJD40-kppfN Second, this entire chapter felt like casa de cameo, you see characters from previous games left and right here. Glad were finally getting to the part the game advertises! Time for a world adventure! |
Played the first hour of the Tomb Raider Reboot and wow...was not expecting a horror game and one of such visceral intensity, it's so unrelentingly brutal and mean spirited I'd assume it was directed by Eli Roth.
It does control really well, and the locations are well designed even if I suffered from all sorts of visual glitches, tears and pixellations and new Lara is gorgeous, minus that horrible voice. |
I've been driving into MOBA's lately. Smite and Archeblade in particular. Any smiters here?
|
Played another hour of Tomb Raider, it plays like the video game equivalent of the climax of a slasher film with a narrative and general feel like Lost as directed by Eli Roth. Who knew the topic of so many wet dreams for 14 year olds could feel so proudly feminist? The wolves and quick time events are fucking annoying, though.
|
Another hour of FFX, this game is surprisingly boring when you only have enough free time to take it an hour at a time. Especially with primitive systems like the sphere one where you can only move in a straight line making the illusion of choice pointless.

Finished Stick of Truth.
Aaand have to go through 1.5 more playthroughs. I missed one piece of equipment! >_< And while the area it drops is reachable, it - for [I]whatever goddamn reason - despawns when no other drops anywhere else in the world does, so I can't reclaim it. Fortunately I had a save point there for getting the Achievements for fighting Kyle and Cartman, so I don't have to start from scratch hunting everything. But I'll still have to be careful and obsessive about it in that half playthrough. The second full run will be because I sold a loot of things and accidentally let somebody die without paying attention. But at least I won't have to care one lick about any collectibles then. |
So the beginning of chapter 4 of Azran legacy.
https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zSA16PUfSJFK8z I... I have no words. |
