I guess it's good there isn't much for January that interests me (just Jungraider and MP Cheetor so far), because I have a bunch of TWEs already on tap for January/February.

Toucon Boost is fine. It's the Ghost mold, but the metallic red is nice (though I could've done without the random flames on his body). Ore Damashii really should've used metallic orange instead of plain peach, because Specter & Toucon are so much more eye-catching complained to Original Recipe Ghost. Though I'm glad the eyecons aren't such a tight fit in the Sunglasseslasher that they get stuck in it forever, they're still so loose that they just flop around, and the sunglasses aren't tight against the handle so they can fall out at the right angle.

Baltan...well, as a figure, he's very nice. I wish the head could actually swivel a bit, the lack of a toe joint seems odd given how big they are, and no energy effects? Really? That aside, the figure itself is nice and dynamic.

It's not easy to tell from this pic, but it's a bit shorter than the average Ultra-Act (the very tip of his head is only taller than an Ultra-Act if you bend the Ultra-Act's knees at least a bit), which is something I'm not thrilled by, but I don't expect others to be bothered by it. As someone who loves the Ultra-Act line, though the size difference isn't small enough to get legitimately aggravated by, I still wish we were getting an OG Baltan or Zetton that were perfectly compatible with Ultra-Acts as they were the SHF Ultras. It's a fine figure, but compared to Ultra-Acts, it manages to feel underwhelming.

Amazing Mighty is the one form, apart from Ultimate & Rising Ultimate, that I thought about getting of the original Kuuga SHFs, so I think I'll take a run at this SS version.

Also cool. I'm glad we won't have to wait that long after SS Gatack comes out.

I'd like to hope they'll reuse the SS Kabuto body a ton for all the other Kabuto Riders, but I'm not holding my breath.

Damn Bandai really going all out on the Kuuga line that's 5 releases so far.

I really hope other rider lines get some more releases.

Kabuto was a pretty popular series though, wasn't it? And considering it's literally impossible to keep him on the shelf even after a reissue I have to assume that says SOMETHING about his popularity, so maybe we'll see the others after all.

Fingers crossed here. I'd love more Kabuto Riders. I've backed off getting any of the older figures because of how much they'd clash with SS Kabuto & Gatack.

I would like to see some renewal of the riders from Agito, but I don't think that it will happen for a while. I think next year, I could see some of W's forms being renewal like Fang Joker and Xtreme.

To be honest, while I love me some Kabuto Riders I don't think I want more currently. Don't get me wrong, the SS Kabuto mold is much better than the old ones, but it's still far from perfect.

The wrist and ankle joints are pretty shitty and even though they ramped up their game with proportions and stuff, the next releases in the line like Kuuga do a much better job in that regard IMO.

The bodies look too slim for me, which is especially noticeable with Gatack. TheBee might work with this, but I don’t think this is the mold which they should use for every Kabuto Rider to come.

I suspect one element is that Kuuga releases can require less new tooling for the base figure, and possibly fewer accessories than later Riders would require.

Is Kuuga considered a relatively popular Rider? Something at the end of the Ex-Aid Ganbarizing thing gave me that impression, in addition to the surprising number of SS Kuuga releases.

I'm still a little heartbroken that Hibiki didn't sell apparently better, since I think it's a stunning-quality release, and the accessories put most other Figuarts to shame. I'd immediately snap up other Hibiki Riders now that I've seen most of the show. (Am I right that it didn't sell well? I thought someone brought that up before, and Bandai doesn't seem to be in a hurry to re-purpose that mold for Todoroki, Ibuki, etc.)

I confess that while I'm happy that Kuuga fans are seeing cool releases, each new one leaves me mildly annoyed that it's not a main Rider that hasn't yet seen a Shinkocchou Seihou release. Must... be... happy... for... others...! *struggle*

Well Kuuga is responsible for kicking off the Heisei era of Kamen Riders into what it is today so naturally he's held in higher regard than most other series.

Plus, Kuuga's forms are usually relatively easy to do seeing as all you really need is a pallet swap.

TECHNICALLY, many of them also have unique shoulder pads, and a couple have alternate shins. But yeah, color's just about it. XD

And I love it.

AmiAmi just shipped out Gold Drive last night. Not sure if anybody else bothered picking up this figure, but I know I'm excited to have Professor Banno in figuarts form.

I ended up cancelling mine because i lost interest but then I saw a review online and it looked a lot better in hand so I'll probably reorder it

I did, but mine won't be shipping until at least next week when the new Transformers come in. I keep hoping we get a Gold Heart announcement at some point so I can line up Gold Drive, Super Mashin Chaser & Gold Heart (EDIT: oops lol) together.

I got mine already its nothing special it does wat it needs to but i am pretty annoyed by the fact that it''s written as gord drive on the box.

I don't think anyone expected Gold Drive to be any special...It's simply a really good villain repaint on-top of a really good Rider mold. It's all it really needed to be and from the look of it, it succeeds.

Looking forward to getting mine locally. Banno's one of my favorite dark rider types.

I wonder if any of W's forms will get renewal next year? I won't mind updating my W figuart collection. Xtreme is a hit or miss figuart to me given how badly the hips are and the hands are hard to put in at times.

Given what they've done with Kuuga, I wouldn't be surprised. In fact, Bandai appears to be basing at least some of their Shinkocchou Seihou decisions on what they can reuse from existing releases, which may be why we're not seeing more diversity. I'm not sure how well W's alternate forms sold, though, so my guess is that we'll see Skull first (different character with essentially the same body,) and the other forms if both W and Skull do well.

Come to think of it, recolored alternate forms aside, Wizard, Kiva, and Fourze wouldn't give them a whole of re-use potential outside of alternate forms for those Riders. By comparison, there's a good amount of parts-sharing for some other SS Riders: Kabuto/Gatack, Decade/Diend. I wonder if that's genuinely a consideration on Bandai's part, and if so, whether that makes other easy-character-reuse Riders like Ryuki and Den-O more likely.

Fang Joker is my favorite form of W and I would love a renewal of it. The old Fang Joker was good in 2010, but the head looks very small now and the hips feel dated.

Out of all the variants Fang Joker probably has the highest chance of being made, and I'm guessing it'll be a retail release just like Rising Mighty was.

With the others (Luna Trigger, Heat Metal) it might depend on popularity. But the pre-orders of Cyclone Joker sold out in seconds, so the demand is there.

I think Skull & Eternal have good chances of being made as well, probably only as Web-Exclusives though. But I might pick them up anyways, especially if they give Eternal a cloth cape.

Yeah I'd definitely be down for FangJoker, Skull and Eternal as well as Accel.
I'd like a new Gold Xtreme too, but I know that probably won't happen because standard Xtreme should and will take precedent.

I do hope we get a new Rising Ultimate out of all these Kuugas though, especially since they're doing Decade figures as well.

I hope they don't plan on re-doing the Ryuki and Den-O lines. They're still very good, even when compared to the SS figures. Ryuki's figures are little bit short, but it's NBD.

I'd rather see them tackle OOO, Wizard, some more Kabuto figures (at least give us TheBee and The Hopper Bros), the rest of Hibiki and for the love of God, can we get Kiva already? With the completion of the Showa era, we're literally a single Rider away from having all of the main Riders.
