Kabuto was the first Figuarts Rider?

Technically no, the first Rider Figuarts were figures based on "The Next" movie, but Kabuto was the first main Rider from a regular Kamen Rider show they did in the line.

They had another Rider line before but it died when the Figuarts came along. It was called "Sochaku Henshin", which is apparently what the "S.H." in "S.H. Figuarts" stands for, as an homage to the old line. I don't know if that was ever confirmed though.

The SH stands for "Simple style and Heroic action".

Makes sense, considering it's printed on every box :lol

Looks like we're getting renewals of the Hopper Bros, plus more Drive SHFs (Gold Heart!), Amazon Sigma, some of the outstanding Showa bikes are on display again (ZX & Skyrider), and more Ultraman kaiju.

Meh on the Hopper Bros. They look great but I'd rather Drake, TheBee and Sasword be tackled first.

Sigma is a definite buy, LOVE that he has the "x moves" hands.

Ultra stuff looks superb, will definitely get Mefilas and Gomora. Not sure about the others.

And as great as that Retsu Ichijoji is, that's clearly going to the same warehouse that Hongo from last year has gone :lol

Does Sigma look a bit too silvery? He's almost like a silver white color. Remember him being darker in the show. Either way, I want him.

Probably because of the show's colour filter. The suits all look a lot brighter as toys.

And on an unrelated note: Rider Heart made me realize I never got an order in for Type Tridoron and now it's too late. :( NY still has the normal release open, but not the one with the tire blending set. Oh well...

The page in Blade_Fang's link also has a clearer picture of the Figuarts Ex-Aid. It looks good to me, but I didn't have any problem with the blurry earlier picture, either. The post also makes reference to the Figuarts Ex-Aid Riders - plural - which is good to hear even though it's not a surprise. I'm particularly interested in the Figuarts version of Snipe.

I noticed something weird about the rider heart figuart, it says type tridoron on the tire. A bit odd but its probably because its just a prototype.

Is it worth preordering the set on HLJ just in case Ex-Aid never actually does get his own standalone release? That way I can cancel it in the likely event that he's announced by himself. It's probably a silly precaution, but I wonder...

AmiAmi is about 700 yen cheaper but eh. Whatever.

Yeah I got so many errors too before I got my pre-order in for the EX-Aid 3 pack on AmiAmi .

So...instead of ordering two Ex-Aid Sets (one for me, one for my buddy), AmiAmi interpreted it as 3 :lol. Luckily, I remembered Talisman, Losondro and FormerTitanium wanted to split a set amongst themselves, so they've claimed the 3rd! :D

I'm still a little nervous because the (presumable) individual releases for these figures hasn't been announced, and I'm worried that Bandai will somehow provide some incentive for the individual releases that won't be present in the set. Is that paranoid of me? Yes. Yes, it is.

I was watching a replay of Westworld while waiting for the drop last night and fell asleep right before midnight, waking up about a quarter after drop time. Sounds like that weirdy paid off given I got to skip all the troubles people here & on Twitter were having with AmiAmi last night, plus the other stuff I wanted was still available by the time I awoke. Waited a couple hours until the three-pack re-opened late last night and snagged the set so I'm good. Yay for odd timing.

Who knows actually. Bandai does like their first run bonuses. Not sure what they would include though, they come with almost everything they need, and I can't see them include the things they don't, like extra blades for the sword, as bonuses. Or, at least, it'd be real crappy of them to do so.

It could happen but I doubt it. And I don’t really care anymore since I will most likely skip every single Ex-Aid SHF. I’ve grown to like the suits in the show but the figures don’t do it for me. I’m patient though; I can wait for the eventual Shinkocchou Seihou Ex-Aid in like 6-10 years.

Lord, people are nitpicky on this forum in regards to their figures. Some are acting like the Ex Aid figures are along the lines of the original W. Yea, they ain't perfect, but damn.

Yeah, how dare someone not mindlessly like every single figure Bandai releases, regardless of inconsistencies with the suit it's based on. The nerve of some people.

I saw the teaser pic which was just the upper torso and face of the figure and my immediate reaction was "nope". And I'm sure the figure itself will be lots of fun, especially since my favorite hips are back, but I cannot afford to buy figures in this price-range if I'm just not blown away by what I see. Me liking the suit makes it even worse, since I can't just say "Whatever the figure makes it a bit different", I don’t want different.

And are "people on this forum" really nitpicky? I mean as far as the Ex-Aid figures go I'm pretty much the only one who's not into them, and the last couple of Rider SHF's have had a very positive reaction to their reveal as well.

Or do you mean stuff like the gimmick figures? Can't say anything about that, I don’t follow those.

Considering I've been having nothing but issues with their SHMA line, yea I totally like everything they crap out. In comparison, the SHFA line is nailing it.

That's you. I know it's a shocker, but not everyone is you and your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's. People have a perfect right to be critical of the things they buy and slavish devotion to every product release does nothing to challenge a manufacturer to actually improve their wares.
