Speaking of which, I'm really hoping we see Eternal from this line, though I'm not feeling too optimistic for movie Riders.

I have work tomorrow at 7:30 AM. So I will probably miss out on the pre-orders. I hope Bluefin can release SHF SS Accel. They release the new W figuart, so anything is possible.

I thought getting it in was incredibly easy... Slightly slow but nothing bad at all - 10-15 seconds for each page to load, no waiting really long or crashing. Checked out easily...

But wow they have already already marked him sold out. I'm sure he'll be back again for a short time, but that was still fast.

Accel is back up on amiami

I had an Accel in my cart at Hobby Search but my browser crashed and by the time I got it opened back up they were sold out. Luckily AmiAmi was just releasing the second batch for preorders so I snagged one there. Pretty painless, overall. I honestly wasn't sure how bad the run was going to be on him.

Any idea when it'll pop up on HLJ?

EDIT: Nevermind. Just went up lol.

I almost forgot about the drop tonight until a few minutes before, didn't feel like rushing to fire up my laptop, so I decided I'd get Accel on my tablet or I'd just wait a few hours for a restock. After some initial trouble logging in to AmiAmi, I was able to order Accel, plus Bats & G Fighter without issue.

I thought about throwing in King Joe, but my "mehness" over the SHF Ultras & desire to use funds elsewhere left that one on the chopping block.

Got my Accel, I'm happy :)

I had a meeting an hour after the pre-orders usually go live so I had to do this while riding a bus, thankfully it all went well. Aside from waiting for the pages to load with my crappy connection, that was scary as hell! :lol

Agh, dang. Missed the window. Oh well, he's retail so if he doesn't pop up again luckily I can go to a place I know will get him in-stock.

Accel pre-orders are still open at HLJ as far as I can tell. I think it's because they never front-paged the pre-order; I kept having to do a search using "Kamen Rider Accel" until the listing showed up last night.

I'm torn between the almost guaranteed pre-order at NY and the slightly less expensive, but not-so-guaranteed preorder at HLJ.

I'll admit, I've been weary of NY over the past year or so tbh. Their customer service isn't that good.

The only series rivaling Gaim as far as figuarts representation in my collection is Ryuki, which I suppose is fitting since they're my two favorite series.

Would you do one with Ryuki and the contract monster as well would like to see that?

I'd do that too, but I honestly don't think it'd all fit lol. Plus I still have to get Magnugiga, and I'm debating on whether or not I'll get the Survive contract monsters.

On another note, I've been thinking about getting into some of the Den-O figuarts. How well do you guys think they stack up to releases like Gaim, Drive, or the SS riders?

Awesome! Gaim is my biggest collection too, although I miss two Next Gen Riders and Knuckle, and I don't think I'll ever get them, I can't fit any more stuff into my Detolf case :lol

I try to focus on main and secondary Riders now, mostly Shinkocchou Seihou, but big collections from shows with a large amount of Riders are very impressive, no doubt about that.

That's how I've been about the past two Rider series (as in Ghost and Drive). Drive, I liked well enough as a show, but I was perfectly fine with just having Drive, Mach, KR Chaser, Mashin Chaser and Gold Drive. I may get Type Tridoron if I ever find it for a decent price and I'm definitely willing to get Dark Drive. As far as all of the other form changes and upgrade forms, I can live without those.

Ghost I didn't care about at all as a show. The main 3 Riders are good enough for me just for the collection's sake.


Ex-Aid though? I may just go all in.

The Den-O figuarts are all still solid purchases IMO. They're there with Ryuki as Figuarts that stack up decently enough to current Figuarts offerings. I only have two issues with them when compared to current Figuarts. The helmets seem ever so slightly smushed and I have difficultly imagining a human's head being in there and they're smaller than some of the current releases (which is true of Ryuki as well), but I think the S.S. line is slightly up-scaled anyway. I know Kuuga and Agito definitely were when I compared them to other Riders.

That being said, I think the Den-O line is still good. Nowhere near Kabuto or W levels of aging badly.

I agree fully with MaskedRiderAsakura above. My current Rider display is in three tiers arranged by the quality of figures, with the Shinkocchou Seihou Riders in front. Den-O is on the next tier back among good company like Drive and Gaim.

(FTR, the back row is Wizard, retail Ex-Aid, OOO, Faiz, Ghost, and Ryuki. Ryuki really only landed there due to balancing the display.)

I went ahead and picked up a Zeronos I've been eyeing for awhile.

I've got a question. Is there a reason why King Joe from UltraSeven is like $75? All of the others are $55 so that price jump just blows my mind. Is there an accessory he comes with? I mean, Ultraman was $75, but he came with buildings, his beam effect, a space ship, and stuff. I'm deciding if I should preorder him whenever he comes up on AmiAmi or just get the US release of him.

The only thing I can imagine is the complexity of the paint and sculpt, which admittedly is pretty damn detailed (and what they're banking on since there's no accessories.) Baltan was similar in that regard.
But I'd be lying if I didn't say I find the price off putting, as I was with Baltan. Perhaps not completely unjustifiable, but a personal gripe since I love the design but can't justify the price on a personal level.

Anyway, I'd just get the US release unless you wanna grab two or three more things on AmiAmi. He's cheaper on there, but by himself and after shipping it wouldn't be worth it. (Plus if there are any QC issues Amazon would be easier to deal with.)

Yeah but Baltan was only $55. This guy is the same price as Ultraman, who came with a ton of stuff.

That's kind of my issue. Although, they may end up releasing a Star Wars Figuart that month too. I just wish I didn't have Han and Chewbacca by themselves, but then, it's not like they will have US releases.

Not really. They tend to be kind of hit-and-miss with Riders and I can't think of the last time they brought over a Second Rider.

Bluefin releases stuff if the License Holder agrees to it or if they miss the deadline (Like what happen with Advance Colors of D-Arts Wargreymon from what I can remember). With Ami Ami, it's always good to play safe and you also get earlier before the US does.

It only seems like BF doesn't release the latest series or the web exclusives for Rider. I don't get why it should matter when they can easily get the web exclusives for everything else (well except Shin Godzilla apparentely).

From what I was told since with Gaim, Toei change their license agreement with Kamen Rider figuarts. Bluefin now has to wait for the show to be over in Japan to release them. So Drive and Ghost retail figuarts can now be release by Bluefin now.

Except by then they're long out of production, thus defeating the entire freaking purpose.

Actually, the reasoning for them releasing Accel is simple.

Bluefin's been releasing all the retail SS Riders since Kabuto. The only ones that don't get released are the Tamashii Web Exclusives. So other than Gatack, Ultimate Kuuga and Daguva they've all been ported.

That's basically how I got mine. Just walked into a store and bought 'em.

They are having individual releases. In April lol. The set is an early release of them with a stage

For a second there I though Bandai show off more new ex-aid figuarts.

I hope we see more reveals of ex-aid figuarts when the scans drop this month.

Did they re-sculpt Ex-Aid's head? Because this is the first picture I'm seeing where it actually looks like it does in the show.
