THE GUILLOTINE!!!!!

I did not see that part coming at all. This was probably the craziest episode of Amazons because of all the decapitations and dismemberment. The heads and limbs flying all over the place. The ending looked cool with Haruka & Mamoru vs Chihiro & Iyu. Still no Jin though.

That part is made even more terrifying when you learn that early Guillotine's couldn't cut through a person's neck the first time and often took multiple tries. I liked how berserk her boyfriend went when he saw they killed her though. It was awesome seeing him rip them in half so cleanly, so easily.

So from what I've seen of Gundam Seed Destiny, this is basically that in Rider form.

Japan really likes its "new protag vs. old, but old is right and new guy is an idiot" stories, don'they?

Not just Japan! That's the essential plot to DC's heavyweight 90's book, Kingdom Come.

I thought Kingdom Come followed from Superman's perspective, though.

Not in story. The meta-text. It was the old, quaint "Silver-Age" 60's / 70's heroes coming back to save the world from the foolish, cynical and dangerous "Grim & Gritty" heroes typified by 90's Image comics.

They've been doing TVN subs, Jatoku has too. Of the first episode at least, but I'm not going back to TVN subs anymore
