You implied that Kirby and Pit had the same Final Smashes as in Brawl. That's what I got, anyway.

The reason it's on Sakurai is because the characters with new Final Smashes all stem from his games (Kirby and Kid Icarus: Uprising). So it's gone from coincidence to bias.

You've completely misunderstood what I'm saying. Kirby, Pit and Dedede have al been given new Final Smashes over the others that I listed that deserved it more. You've taken exactly the opposite point of what I was making. I was pointing out how dumb the logic was in choosing who got new Smashes.

And yes. I think you'd have to be pretty ignorant not to notice the bias towards Sakurai's pet franchises. Sunspace emissary was basically "Kirby and Dedede save the Nintendo Universe! Feat. Nintendo cameos" and there's so much evidence in the new games it's hard to pick them all out in one sitting.

-Kid Icarus (or more accurately KI:U because everything simply referencing the first games have been removed) has three representatives and more items then any other franchise. The vast majority of new items hail from KI:U. I'm fairly certain at this point KI:U has more items then Zelda and Metroid COMBINED.
-Smash Run features mostly KI:U characters
- Paluntena is thus far the only character to have fully original attacks rather then variants for customs. Does Link get to use his hundreds of items? Nope. Does Paluntena get over 10 original techniques to select from? Of course.
-Do the listed deserving characters get Final smashes? Nope. Do Kirby, Dedede and Pit? Of course. Will Meta-Knight get a new one. I'd bet my bottom dollar.
-Luigi is the ONLY non-Sakurai character to get a new Smash not born from necessity.
-Kirby and Pit are the ONLY characters to receive new moves not born from necessity.
-The most powerful item that turns the game on it shoulders as people collect the pieces hails from what franchise? Kirby. The new game introduces a new one! What game is it from? KI:U.

The list goes on...

So, right now we have less than a month till Smash 3DS comes out, who here is buying it at launch?

The alts, outside of Alph and the Koopalings and Robin are a pretty big miss. Sexist Samus, Dark Pit and Lucina being actual characters... It's a big disappointment because there was heaps of potential!

I love Alph and the Koopalings, but we could've had so much more awesomeness too. Dry Bowser, Fierce Deity as an actual alt, Skyward Sword Link and Zelda, Galacta Knight, Daisy, Cosmic Spirit, Shadow Mario, Masked Dedede, Minish Cap Toon Link, Fusion Suit Samus, Ms. Pacman... The list goes on!
