Is the spear extension on the Dairen Rod removable?

I hope so, iirc he uses it without the spear end more often then with.

Why? He comes with both the Dairen Rod with and without the spear.

EDIT: Nah, he does only come with the spear, which is a bit sad, but he comes with a huge amount of accessories already, so I guess I can forgive. Don't understand why they don't just let you remove the spear though.

Soooo beyond glad I ordered 2 Ryu's. That mold has a ton of personality and I can't wait to have one for each form. Just need an in scale bicycle for China Red.....

My bad, I was thinking you were referring to the Dairinken, not the rod. I actually don't care, I love the spear regardless and will probably be displaying him with it most of the time.

Shoulders look no different than those on Tryanno and Dragon Rangers. How does he look on the cheap side though?

I think it's the funky shoulders. Also the eye color looks cheap, but that's part of the design, so you can't really complain too much.
Wait, the Dairinken gets two versions, why not two versions for the Dairen Rod, the older and more prominent weapon?

Nah, the shoulders are no different than Tyranno Ranger's shoulders. The only reason no one poses them that far is because of the white diamond pieces.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with the shoulders looking a bit weird. Not gonna judge it until I have it in hand, but they stick out an awful lot in those pics.

I wish there was an official Gosei Green figure of any kind :( I'd even take a vinyl at this point. I am however in the process of building a custom Gosei header and machine for him, just need some more parts to get the project off the ground.

All I'm going to do is buy another Gosei Great Megazord and paint the Shark body green and wait for the Gosei Wonder heads to come out and paint the dolphin head green. I was going to make a purple ranger to go with Gosei Wonder too but I cannot find a good purple to use.

I'm using the BOJ figures and was going to try to come up with something original since the Dolphin really belongs to Hyde. Working on more of a Kraken angle as my first go actually.

I got my Legacy Megazord in the mail today (Happy B-Day to me!) Dr. Kain was right. This thing is way better with the die-cast. Accurate show stickers and even more detailing than the 2010 version make it a must have. More so with the Legacy Dragonzord coming. Now we just need a Legacy Titanus to be announced.

I'm curious here. I noticed recently that Figuarts has a figure of Gosei Knight/Robo Knight of Goseiger/Megaforce fame thanks to my searches on Mandarake.

Why do just him and not the rest of the team in Figuarts I wonder... I wouldn't mind Goseiger Figuarts. I mean they did Shinkenger, Gokaiger, Go-Busters, and the Kyoryuger team is coming up.

I'm pretty sure it is because Sentai Figuarts were just starting up towards the end of Goseiger's run and since Shinkenger had superior ratings, and was ultimately, the superior show, they started with them and then moved right into Gokaiger since that was airing by then.

That's a pretty biased point of view, and inaccurate. Goseiger had higher ratings than Shinkenger did anyway. In a couple of head to head episode battles Shinkenger was a couple points higher but the series average for Goseiger is a bit higher than Shinkenger. AND the toy sales were higher because it had an actual collectible gimmick with Headers. The discs from Shinkenger weren't really pushed the same way.

Shinken Red was only produced because it won a pole. And then the others were produced after the fact. Gosei Knight tested the market for Goseiger figuarts and while he sold well enough alot of the ones sold were of average quality. Some paint and plastic tolerance QC issues. The response wasn't quite what Bandai wanted which may be why the others haven't been made yet. But I'd say the influence of Megaforce and the US market could make them come in production more quickly.

It would be cool if the U.S. further influenced Figuarts beyond the female Yellow Ranger for MMPR.

I know they had a poll at SDCC so it sounds like they're at least interested in seeing what fans might like.

Do you have a source for that? Because everything I've read suggested it was actually the other way around - for both viewing figures and toy sales.

On average Shinkenger actually beat out Goseiger with 5.9% against 5.4% But Shinkenger also has the highest up and down in ratings, with the highest being at 7.5% and the lowest at 2.5%

Goseiger on the other hand was at 7.6% at their highest, and their lowest was only at 3.4% So depending which number you are looking at, either side could be declared the winner.

Gokaiger however is the shocking one to me, with average rating at 5.0%, highest at 6.6% and low of 3.2% I'm truly baffled :(

And one thing I'll totally disagree with. Shinkenger was a total snoozefest compared to Goseiger. Goseiger at least had fun with it and had some character development. Whereas Shinkenger did what? Add Genta and hope his overbearing dose of personality would make me forget about the lack of any real change for the other characters who were essentially just yes men? No thanks.

I'd guess that was because it referenced shows that occurred years ago, and I think I'm right in guessing Japanese kids can't easily watch old shows.

Shinkenger had Juuzo and Dayuu along with a solid ranger cast. Goseiger had what looked like children as rangers and no stand out villains.

I agree on Genta though. Worst 6th ever!

Took me awhile to get a good enough Purple color. His sword can combine with Megaforce Green's Bowgun to become the Wonder Sniper.

I honestly wish they'd use purple/violet on rangers more than they do. I think it's a really good color on sentai teams in particular after seeing images of the Plezuon from Kyoryuger.

Plus it kind of breaks up the usual red, yellow, blue, black/green, pink/white teams we see all the time.

I whole heartedly agree on the use, or rather lack of use, of violet. If memory serves correct, only two (technically three) violet rangers. Man I would love to have a GekiViolet figuart.
