agreed but even then the cost doesn't seem to reflect much in the figures =like the green recolor of the main megazord with most of the zords being just copied form the other now i didn't watch ninja steel recently so i might have missed that but i don't think it was in there and if their doing that and selling the support zords with recolored copies im disappointed

Could Netflix give better stories for PR ?

I've heard that with the deal between Disney and 20th Century Fox, Disney now owns BOOM! Studios! Does this affect the PR comics by BOOM! Comics, and with a new "In", could this also affect the future of PR ownership all over again?

i was actually kinda enjoying the current comics. Evil Tommy from another dimension which shows why he should NOT LEAD because everything Tommy in is in charge of eventually gets ruined because Tommy is a terrible leader. Seriously i think he is really bad at the job he keeps screwing up. The bit in the most recent one seems to be them explaining what happened with the green candle and the wizard of deception being the one who made it would make the story better

I'm not certain I completely follow! I don't know if this follows what I said, but My remark is only a "What if?" question! A valid and uncertain question!

Other than that, the Comics will occur as they have (for the moment). "Shattered Grid" will not be hindered by any potential changes and Lord Drakkon will go to cause all kinds of fan-servi... eh, chaos! The extent to how dark Tommy can get will be explored, but I do wonder what will happen. Will the various forms of Tommy over the years join together to fight Drakkon? Fun in one regard, obvious in another, and unimaginative in scope! There other ways the various Tommys could fight together! However, given that some of the teams will have to fight a VERSION of Tommy, then some in the fandom who hate the character will rejoice in at least one minor regard! It isn't the "main" version, but it's something!

I feel like we get these type of post like almost every week. I don't see PR being on Netflix anytime soon. Didn't one of Saban's anime on Netflix flop really badly? If so, I think Saban is going to stick with Nick. PR has been on Nick for several years already. People should get over it already. It's not going anywhere.

Glitter Force iirc, Pretty Cure fans weren't happy at how it was localized like a 4kids dub without any of the good things

I watched it and I really didn’t see what the problem was. It was serviceable. The only really annoying thing was the sudden dimming, which apparently was done to prevent eyestrain seizures or whatever, even though Japanese cartoons have been really good about preventing that on their own ever since You-Know-What happened.

Also, apparently one of the cut episodes revolved entirely around Japanese puns. I can see why they wanted to cut it.

Interestingly enough, I have talked to a British girl who was born and raised in Japan to the point where she considers Japan her true home culture, and she’s actually a fan of localization for Western audiences, to the point of getting annoyed whenever people freak out and badmouth localization.

Yeah, localization is harder than it looks and there are LOADS of cases of people whining about localization because they don't understand it. Fire Emblem Fates, Dragon Quest 5, Yugioh anime, a game from the Senran Kagura devs iirc and a fuck ton more

Netflix has released "The Toys That Made Us"! This original series focuses on some of the most significant toy-lines known to the Western World and beyond! The first episode focuses exclusively on Star Wars and its conception! Other lines will also be explored, and a Transformers episode is known to follow sometime in the near future with the release of new episodes! Some of the old and borrowed footage from the ol' days is shown (or superimposed) on an old TV with toys around for set design, and if you look ever so closely, you can see Mastodon and Triceratops Dinozords toward the corner of one's right eye!

Nope, I agree with you 110% on this. I think Power Rangers should get an episode on this show. If not for this season then at least for season 2 assuming season 2 happens next year when Power Rangers celebrates its 25th year. It would also be a chance to give the norm a tiny glimpse of toku in general if the show creators decide to do so.

Power Rangers has a big problem with this. It depends on which season it's an adaptation of, though I'd say something like Gokaiger would work fine

You said good anniversary season. 20 episodes with wasted potential on 2 shows, lazily handwaved acknowledgements of non PR seasons and errors for multiple seasons isn't good

A bit. It's cheap to make due to stock footage and Saban refusing to hire union actors and the Super Seasons all give extra brand new toys for potential sales.

Toy sales are VERY important to this kind of stuff, and Bandai of America knows how to exploit fans and make them buy multiple of a toy they didn't even want

Well that's not because of the company being different, it's still Haim Saban in charge, he just thought he could milk the nostalgia for MMPR which makes most, if not all of the seasons since Samurai suffer

That's pure opinion. Some of the older shows are pretty God awful. When you take off the nostalgia glasses, MMPR was pretty bad. It got better. On the flipside, I mostly enjoyed dinocharge. I generally enjoyed megaforce and supermegaforce

Yeah, it's all about toy sales for that demographic. Young Justice being a good example. Incredibly popular. Great ratings. Poor toy sales. Good ratings didn't matter, so it was canceled. It'g got uncancled some years later, but still.

PR's toys are, I understand, still quite popular to the point that even when they planned on canceling the show, they planned on continuing the toy line. The toy line is likely to keep that show coming for years to come. Doesn't even matter if it's any good and anyone really watched it.

I wish we could have a season were the rangers practicing martial arts in the school in the same level of MMPR through Zeo.

problem is that you also have to consider the sentai that would be adapted.

If a character is the comedic fighter like doc form gokaiger and you try and make him a serious character who doesn't fight like that its not going to make much sense. Plus you also have to consider the setting because a lot of these settings of the neo saban series are just bland, except for dino charge they seemed to put some time into that one.

I wish a season could capture the same spirit from the old saban era seasons.

The biggest issues that the current show runners for Power Rangers face is that they are trying too hard to match Power Rangers to the Super Sentai footage instead of finding a way to make Super Sentai footage match the Power Rangers.

It's easier to try and match PR to SS but more rewarding to match SS to PR.

One day I hope they figure that out.

I still can't believe some of the stuff they pulled off on Lost Galaxy rewatching it. They did a better job turning an earth based nature sentai into a space going one than they had any right to.

Or Lightspeed Rescue's having a sixth Ranger who wasn't in GoGoV.

It seems like the biggest thing they can't do is Megazord fights. The Ranger and Monster costumes get shipped over, but I can't think of too many original Zord sequences, outside of times things get destroyed in PR that didn't in Sentai.

I'm kinda hoping that if Kyuranger gets adapted they do another thing to make it resemble "In Space". Lot's of callbacks and continuity nods. Like having someone be from a planet like KO-35, or one of the mechanical team members being an Alpha series. And a stronger villain cast. It seems like there really wasn't the re-occuring gang to baddies for that show like some, and I always like a good villain gang in my Sentai/Power Rangers.
