Exactly. Never go to BBTS for Web Exclusives. Their prices are ridiculously inflated. You pay $80 plus shipping with them for Gai whereas if you went the Mandarake route you could get it for like $65 shipping included. I mean just look at their ridiculous price for Basco & Sally. You could easily get them for half that when the time comes. The only possible way you'd pay more is if you went with a crazy expensive shipping service. If you can bear the 2 or 3 weeks SAL takes then you save a ton of money. But for just one Figuart EMS is also very affordable.

*Exception: When BlueFin is distributing the Web Exclusive as retail to US shops. Such as Black Condor, Vile, and Trunks.

Under the price on the item page (The last line beside the item image), if it reads "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" then it will be a better price than BBTS, come with Free Shipping, and be the BlueFin version. If it says anything else other than "Amazon.com" in that sentence, then Amazon is sold out already and listing the best price from the Other Sellers list. Other Sellers can be anyone, even BBTS sometimes.

Sorry, but I would rather pay more to buy it from a US seller than save $20 just to buy it from Japan. Plus, I don't trust untrackable methods, so I will always take DHL/UPS/etc over the cheaper route, so it pretty much puts it all at the same cost.

You literally make no sense to me. EVERY method that mandarake uses is trackable. SAL, EMS, and DHL all include tracking numbers. How is saving money a bad thing when you get the item over (on average) 1 month ahead of the US market as well?

You should really look into in the future. Trust me from experience, it saves you a ton of money in the long run. Or use Sentai Tamahiis' webshop exclusive middleman service. He can really hook you up for a better price than BBTS.

Mandarake has very good rates on DHL. I'm getting the exclusives for $50-$65 WITH DHL shipping. I just got Agito Storm form for, if memory serves, $60, including shipping. I know someone that's selling his for $85, so I saved $25.

And I've gotten a couple of packages IN THREE DAYS.

I'm lucky if UPS Ground gets to Utah from California in two days, and I got two different shipments in three days!

It's cheaper and lots faster. If you're interested in saving money, you really need to look into Mandarake. But be wary of Fukuoka, their shipping has been significantly more expensive than the other stores, at least for my last two orders.

Shipping from Japan is perfectly safe, even with SAL. Just always be sure to go with registered delivery. Ordering from over sea's really shouldn't be an issue for anyone these days. In fairness, I've not seen Gai show up on Mandarake so far though.. but maybe you guys have just been too quick.

I got mine in today, he's a great figure, despite the fact I wasn't a big fan of his. For the first exclusive Ryuki figuart though, it's disappointing that he comes with the least amount of accessories. These guys really should have come with their stands, rather than forcing you to buy the contract monsters.

wat i usually do is wait a while til that design in question goes a little down in price cause they all do, i got my decade for $30 shipped, just cause its out and u want it doesnt mean u buy it right away. although we are talking about an exclusive so im in the dark on how well those do

I haven't been buying figuarts that long, but they certainly don't all drop in price eventually. Especially exclusives.

I've had the opposite. I waited on getting a Kabuto back in June and now the cheapest price I see him at is $55, when before, it was $36.

well kabuto is 4 years old, so it did go down, in june apparently. im saying its always gonna be crazy expensive right wen its released, but it will go down, that doesnt mean itll stay down

Exclusives usually go up in price, particularly when they become harder to find. Then you sometimes have figures like Gokai Yellow and Pink, who just skyrocketed in value as soon as they were released. You tend to only see the less popular figures, like Super Shinken Red and Kuuga's growing form, etc., drop.

It's not hard to guess which figures will end up becoming more valuable, but it's always a risk.

Hopefully Gai will join these ranks. :D

I echo that sentiment. My biggest problem is that as soon as I see it on Mandarake I'm going to want to order it, even if it's 4000 yen. I need to make myself wait to see if it drops, hopefully as low as Growing Form Kuuga (which I think is a great figure).
