No it probably goes up in April since it's an August release; they only cover July releases right now.

Yup, they're making Brave Lv. 5 and Snipe Lv. 5. Why? I have no fucking idea. I mean they are easy remolds, sure, but still... why? Who asked for this?

Meanwhile still no Lazer and still no Lv. 3's who all appeared before Drago Knight Hunter Z was introduced.

I'm pretty sure the text under the closeup on the Driver says the Gashats are removable, so there is that.

Also...is it just me, or do Ex-Aid's eyes look more accurate on this one than the level 2 pics we have? The color isn't quite right still, but the shape looks alright.

But yeah...certainly hope the other Level 5's are low priority in actual production. There are so many other more worthwhile things they could be doing. Not only just full characters in need of figures, but even just retools of the figures we already have, that would be more worthwhile than the incomplete level 5's...though even the full thing wouldn't really be worth it either.

An aside but, it also looks like Snipe's little hair thingy can rotate just like on the LVUR, which is...cool?

Kind of a pointless feature unless they intend to somehow incorporate the LVUR line's level 3 gimmick. Considering that they didn't use the Arms Change gimmick, which is extremely similar, for the Gaim Figuarts... not likely, so it's just a pointless feature.

Also shows more conclusively that the Gashat and the Driver are made of different materials...and so is the handle??? I thought it was non-functional but now I'm not so sure. In fact, this picture definitely make it look like there's some moving part there.

Yeah I've noticed Ex-Aid's weird eyes immediately upon seeing the figure for the first time and it’s what keeps me from buying it. So it hurts double to see that they are not only aware of the issue but also only bother to fix it on another figure entirely. I really hope the Lv. 2 Ex-Aid also comes with those new eyes but I don’t see it happening.

Also it's kinda weird that all the Gashats have no labels on them considering we had stuff like Lockseeds and Gaia Memories which are also really tiny but they all had stickers on them regardless.

I'm pretty sure the eyes only look off due to the lighting. The way they look when he's sporting Dragoknight Hunter seems to be caused by the slight shadow the dragon "hood" causes since it sticks out over his head. You can see a reflection travelling up the discolored area into the white.

I feel that because the visor designs are clear plastic over visible, distinguishable eyes this time around rather than compound eyes that reflect light, certain lighting and shadows could make them look a little off when in normal lighting they look fine.

Remember, the Tamashii show floor display looked perfectly fine and that lighting was normal.

It looked better but far from "perfectly fine". In fact if you look at it closely you can still see the weird egg-shaped eyes.

Will it look better in a more natural light? I think so. But I would still prefer it if they would use the eyes from the Hunter Gamer figure on the Action Gamer one.

While we're on the subject of Ex-Aid, does anyone know where this
came from? Now that I look at it the Gashat is fully detailed, which makes me doubt its validity. Also that we haven't seen anything else in a month, and that I can't find anything else about it...

I have no idea where that's from; at this point I would assume it's a custom figure. Or part of it anyways.

Man so many of the Ex-aid releases feel boring. I was wondering what the next Ex-aid Figuart reveal would be and I'm not happy about it. It seems bandai is taking their slow ass time with this line. We should be seeing Brave and Snipe other power up forms. Brave beatbox form and Snipe form I don't know the name of it. The other dragon hunter forms should be much later on release not now what a waste of Figuarts release ugh.

As for lazer I don't think he be getting any figuart. Why he was only in Ex-aid for 6 or 7 ep and as far as bandai is concern he was not in the show for long so he pretty much forgettable.

12 episodes. Kiriya was in the show for twelve episodes. Lazer in only 8, I guess, but that's still no small quantity.

Plus, he's a popular (not to mention important) character, and that matters far more than the raw numbers of how long he was in the show. Gold Drive was in Drive for less but his impact and popularity still netted him a retail release.

Also he's the bike so it would be extremely strange and unprecedented if they just never made him.

Well we should have seen him by now I feel Bandai has different point of views of who should or should not get a Figuarts release. I see Bandai skipping him remember this is not 2014 like Kamen Rider Gaim line where EVERYONE from the show got release ok.

All his forms? No. But his Lvl 2 and Lvl 5 forms I do like. And I'll most definitely go for Lvl 50 if I get the chance at a decent priced one.

Cause they don't want to get ahead of themselves, I'd guess. They've been cutting back on retail releases due to low sales, so I imagine they're holding off on making anything extra until they see how the main guys sell. Popular or not, it's only been a few months. Really only so much they can do.

And to the Machine Hoodie I say hi back, because while it is a bike, it is not the bike, which is to say the main Rider's bike. That got made, and has gotten made for every series since like...Fourze?

Chase was one of Drive's most popular characters and Kamen Rider Chaser didn't see a figure release until well after Drive was already over. Popularity doesn't mean immediate release. We'll see Lazer and Genm and any other rider or popular form we still haven't seen in due time. You'd think after this long people would consider patience, especially with releases based on currently-airing shows. If a rider is prominent enough and/or makes enough of an impact, they'll get a figure. That's been the case since W.

As for the Machine Hoodie example, Bandai's rider bikes are all as close to the source as possible. Every bike that transforms has been made into a transformable figuart bike. In Machine Hoodie's case, it transforms into a new form, which if they want both the bike and a Houdini Damashii figuart to be functional, isn't gonna be possible. Either they try it and it ends up finicky or they only release the bike as a bike and people bitch about how it doesn't transform. It's a bad example for your point when you think about the engineering that'd have to go into it.

I'm glad you're excited, and there's nothing wrong with being so, but some of us are dismayed. We're getting different forms of the existing three Riders rather than Dangerous Zombie Genm, Paradox, or Lazer, and this doesn't bode well for seeing those characters. If Hunter Gamer Ex-Aid sells well, I'll be very pleased, but I'll also be surprised. If it doesn't do well, that'll lower the chances of other characters being released.

I suspect the purpose of the Dragon Hunter forms being released is so Bandai can maximize tooling efficiency, but it also means this'll be the third release for the same three Riders (the 3-pack, the individual releases, and the Dragon Hunter forms.) This is fantastic for people who're all-in on the line, but for those of us who collect individual characters, it's ominous, not just for the Ex-Aid line, but for current-Rider figures. I'm still anxious about the possibility that Rider Figuarts may slowly go the way of Sentai Figuarts.

I imagine the next Rider we'll see released will be Genm, but more than likely, it'll be his Level 2 form rather than Dangerous Zombie, since that'd be the lease expensive thing for them to produce.

I agree this is where I question how well the line will do. Bandai does not want to give us lazer because he requires new retooling and that's costly to them. The reason why I said lazer he was in the show early so his bike form should have been reveal already.

Also I feel Kamen Rider line has gone the same way as the Sentai line already. Just look at the Gaim line there still like 10 Figuarts to release and who knows if they ever get release.

If the Rider line had gone the same way as the Sentai line they wouldn't be releasing anything.

You just said it right there. With the Ex-Aid riders, they all basically have the same basic body mold, just different heads, backs and little accessories like Brave's Shield and Snipe's cloak, while Lazer is a bike. While they may have a basic bike "skeleton" laying around, they'd have to create the molds for his pieces. And if they don't have a bike to base him off of, they have to create molds for those pieces too.

That's fine, but it's still a lot better off than the Sentai line which is, for the time being at least, completely dead.

I had an insane thought this morning, which is that Dino Force Brave could conceivably tempt Bandai to produce Figuarts for the series (maybe just Dino Force Red, given how conservative they are), since there'd be no new tooling costs (unless the original molds were destroyed, of course.)

Like I said, it's an insane and unlikely thought, but I could see it happening for the same reason many of the seemingly-unlikely Drive Figuarts happened.

I'd imagine that the only reason we haven't seen Machine Hoodie (yet) is because it was a seldom used Rider Machine that doubled as a seldom used Rider form, in a series that seems to already be unpopular amongst the collector fanbase.

Lazer, Para-DX and Genm are coming, just be patient. I'm honestly more concerned with their potential aftermarket prices than not getting them at all, since we've pretty much gotten everything from Gaim and Drive outside of some movie Riders/forms.

Bandai already gave us the freakin' Tridoron as well as bikes for the other two Riders. Do you really think they're going to skip out on the main vehicle that is also a literal character, and a popular one at that?

As far as the Rider line "dying" out, I wouldn't say it's that so much that as the fact that outside of the currently airing show, there's just not that many Riders left that need figuarts produced, so what we're left with is current Riders who are always a gamble since you can't tell how popular they'll be, some movie Riders and a few Riders in need of an update via the S.S. line. Kiva and Hibiki are pretty much the only new territory Bandai can dip into at this point, both of which are not popular series.

Yeah, this. We don't get a ton of Rider releases every month like we used to because there's only so much ground left to cover. TN taking their time with the SS line keeps renewals at a more deliberate pace. Rider's still popular enough to warrant belated releases (Orga, finally getting to Dragranzer/Darkraider, Drive stuff still trickling out), which is a far cry from Sentai.

What I find compelling about his argument is the fact that he believes that Bandai would be better at making the Gaim Figuarts than Drive and complaining about retooling when it would be the EXACT SAME SITUATION. the only difference is that with Dark drive, it's just a new head and shoulder pads, with two existing weapons combined into one. The Gaim Figuarts do all share similar base bodies, what with needing a Baron body for Mars and a Zangetsu Shin for Kamuro, but they would need new heads, new armor pieces, as well as two entirely new weapon molds being made. What makes sense? Make a figure that you will sell out with as minimal cost as possible? Or make a figure that will require new resources to be made? Sentai King hasn't grasped that idea at all no matter what we say.
