You know guys those people what they think about saying rumors Sentai was taking about is always says cancellations or hiatus rumors because they think due to underperforming or sales for now Super Sentai got enter the reiwa era with Mashin Sentai Kiramaiger the first reiwa season later Kikai sentai zenkaiger the second reiwa season it's too early to tell about those cancellations or hiatus rumors to the franchise it does not make sense to me or someone and now I having fun with zenkaiger and I like it.

It is more of a concern because Super Sentai has been underperforming as of late. Zyuohger and Kyuranger showed some promise recovering the loss by Ninninger, but then LuPat tanked and Ryusoulger tanked despite recycling aspects of Kyoryuger which is the current top contender when it comes to sales and Kiramager tanked even more. I will add though that the popularity and quality of the story is not always reflective of the sales cause LuPat had the honor of getting a screenwriting award of sorts in Japan if I recall despite its lower sales than Kyuranger.

Was it because the lower toy sales and television ratings got affected due to COVID-19 Pandemic? Toei's stocks and shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange went down.

Covid's definitely had some effect, but...

A) This started with Lupat -- a couple years before Covid was even a thing
B) Kamen Rider Zero-One and Ultraman Z performed extraordinarily well, better in fact than most recent years - and they were on during Covid at the same time as Kiramager

So it's really hard to say if Covid really has much of a part, here -- there's an argument to be made that it could in fact have increased toy sales, as parents buy stuff for their kids to do while stuck indoors. These toys will also be stocked at the same supermarkets people still need to go to for food, as well.

Also, while Sentai ratings have been steadily declining for about 10 years now, they really dove off a cliff when TV Asahi shifted its time slot so that it competes directly against One Piece.

Ninninger and Zyuohger saw a noticeable drop from previous years but nothing too terrible, especially as it went back up with Kyuranger -- it's Lupat where things seriously started going in the red. Here's a fairly recent chart from the middle of Kiramager. Keep in mind too that Kyoryuger and Toqger are some of Sentai's best years overall profits-wise.

But wait, doesn't that drop in 2018 correspond with Hasbro taking over the Power Rangers license, thereby removing the US gross from Bandai's Sentai sales numbers? I recall hearing that the sales decline wasn't nearly as bad as it looked for that reason, but I could be crossing my wires.

Do these sales figures include that? I never heard anything about that

I could be talking totally out of my ass here, but I was under the impression that the annual sales charts reflected Bandai's global sales, including the US. Or if not including the US, then including non-US territories where the Power Rangers brand is sold instead of Sentai, like South Korea.

Over the years, I've definitely seen Bandai sales charts akin to these that list Sentai as "Power Rangers" or "Super Sentai (Power Rangers)."

I mean, it seems crazy to me that Power Rangers toys only accounted for 1/3 of Sentai-related toy sales, but who knows?

EDIT: Here are some hastily compiled examples... but I think the overall takeaway is that it's not clear what these numbers actually represent, so using them to form the basis of success or failure of the franchise is a dubious proposition at best.
