Kiva-la (Kivara?) is a pretty solid figure, although it just makes the itch for the obvious related action figure a little worse. I'm tickled (if baffled) that she was released at retail. Man, that suit should've shown up during the show itself; it's a shame it was saved for one of the reasonably-baffling movies. I'm not wild about the hips or the fact that she pretty much needs a stand due to those heels, but for that, I blame the suit designer rather than the Figuarts team.

Her and Abyss being mass retail releases are pretty surprising.

I also own Abyss. Love him too.

Never cared much for Abyss design wise but I always liked Kiva-La and agree she should have been in the show

Paid off the Ex-Aid set yesterday since it should be hitting online retailers next Saturday. Really looking forward to getting the 3 main gamers in one shot rather than waiting a month between each release.

Welp. Was looking at some pictures of the Ex-Aid Figuarts in anticipation of their approaching release, when I noticed something really unfortunate. Also really glaring so I don't even know how I went all these months without noticing.

Brave's collar and the surrounding area is supposed to be white, much like Ex-Aid's is green. But the Figuarts just has it unpainted, all silver...

That's super lame. Between this and the sword, Brave's figure is honestly pretty disappointing as far as accuracy goes. I guess it's not a deal breaker, but considering it's Figuarts, it's pretty bad. Even the LVUR has the collar in the right color. This is just an absurd oversight.

Sadly, spotted yet another inaccuracy with these guys. The visor on Snipe's Level 1 face isn't red. I guess it's pretty minor, but I'm still unhappy about it.

Those definitely sound nitpicky in my case. I'm pretty sure Snipe's Lvl 1 visor on his back has always been black. The red comes from his eyes, but in Lvl 2 they're blacked out like all the other Lvl 2 riders. I don't remember it being red, personally. That or it's just never been remotely noticeable.

And Brave's collar is...eh? I could care less. I actually think the choice for silver looks more consistent and less cheap than if they went with stark white.

The packaging of the three pack is really cool, I dig it.

But man, they really didn’t do a good job with some the details on these. What a shame.

They kinda are, but this isn't a gimmick line. Accuracy to the source material and amazing articulation is what makes these figures what they are. And they charge the price for it, so I see no reason to not point out what they didn’t get right.

It is noticeable if you look for it, but how often do they show the suit's back anyways? Or rather why should it be the focus of what you look for? Hell, I didn't know his visor was red either, I just noticed it now.

Still, shame on Tamashii for not making it red.

For the price these figures command, you have every right to be nit picky. Figuarts are a higher standard, a standard they themselves set. Your buying the figures for the accuracy and attention to detail, so if they failed in that, it's totally fine to complain.

Meh, different strokes in the end. Not everyone's gonna be happy.

Regardless, the promo shots of them all dynamic makes me excited to get them. Was a little worried about Snipe's cloak hindering things but it looks extremely functional.

To continue my "whines about imperfections in Ex-Aid Figuarts" theme, Lazer's Kimewaza Slot Holder can neither Kimewaza or Slot Hold, because it doesn't look like it has holes for the Gashats. What's even the point.

It also doesn't come with parts to turn it into the Bike Gama, but I'll admit I care about that less.

Still want it though, so.

we can only see the slots from the bottom side of the holder, theres no reason to assume theres no holes on the other side

So one of the JP toy photographers I follow seems to have the 3-pack already. Or at least Ex-Aid. He's looking fantastic.

Those pictures are fantastic. Also, now that Brave's mis-colored collar has been brought to my attention, I can't unsee it. I'm a little shocked that Bandai made such a significant error.

They had the actors of Kick Hopper and Punch Hopper back, most likely to do a video with the new CSM belt, but this time also used the opportunity to show them their Figuarts. Pretty awesome.

Second, the next Tamashii drop will not be on April 1st. It's March 27th instead. Toku-wise the only thing in there is Kamen Rider Skull, so make sure to be ready when he goes up.

Sadly nothing about Ultraman Orb yet so I hope there is a second drop on the usual date.

And lastly, minor thing, but it looks like Kamen Rider Skull's Skull Magnum is actually transformable this time around. So you don’t need to constantly switch between two different guns in order to pull off either look. Sweet.

Yay! Orb is coming April! I'm still not sure if I'm going to buy it but, if I do, it'll be my first S.H. Figuarts. It'll be a retail release right?
