To be fair, it's not like there weren't plotholes before. Lunch and the number of wishes Dende's Shenron can give come to mind.

I looked up the opening for Dragon Ball Super, it's a good song, i like it.

Not to mention even the manga has plot holes too since Cell said that he won't be able to regenerate if his nucleus in his head is destroyed. Goku's attack should have destroyed the nucleus when he blew his body in half or died when he blew up King Kai's planet. Not to mention Future Trunks said that the cyborgs from the future are #19 & #20. However, we later learn that they are actually #17 & #18, and Trunks doesn't recognize #19 & #20 when he sees them (I know the full story behind Toriyama not using #19 and #20 as plan. However a hole in the story is a plot hole).

Dragon Ball is far from perfect when it comes to writing. I don't mind minor plot holes, but big ones are the ones that bother me.

Being far from perfect and then throwing out the basic premise of the movie that helped relaunch the franchise are very different things :lol

Exactly, that's what bothers me the most about redoing Battle of the Gods. It just seems pointless. I've seen people on other forums being all "well it's to cater to kids who can't afford to go see the movies in the cinema etc" but its not like this first episode was exactly welcoming to newcomers. It's fair to assume most people who are watching this will have at least seen or plan to see Battle of the Gods at some point.

It confuses me as well, they have basically two movies that already build up this new setting and they could just start the show after Revival of F (time wise).

It actually makes me less interested in the show that they take this route now.

Yeah, I really don't like that we're revisiting plots that were already covered in movies. He should have just started after. It really did turn me off Super a bit. :/

I think we can explain that one because time paradox, that's what i always assumed.
