WEAK?! ixa has got to be one of the best second riders idea wise, suit wise he's kinda down the middle for me. but i mean the idea for a robocop to kill fangires? genius. if u mean characters, then i agree with jirou and nago, never liked them. but otoya has got to be on of the best secondaries ive ever seen.

I meant in terms of character and I specifically meant Nago. The writers clearly had no idea what his character was going to be like and his personality fluctuated wildly over the course of the show. Jiro and the other two Arms Monsters were just really obvious attempts to replicate the popularity of the Taros. Otoya is the only aspect of Kiva that is an unqualified success.

I can't find episode 1 of Kiva anywhere, so I watched the first episode of (sorry Matrix) Decade instead. It was ok, I don't get why Wataru is saying "you must destroy all the riders" and I also don't get how Natstumi just o happened to find the Decadriver just laying in a pile of rubble. Gosh...I'm starting to sound like Matrix now. Ok there were some good parts though. The fight scenes were good, and yeah. There's not much to talk about since it's just the first episode. I prefer the way that the OOOs Let's Go! Movie did it, in that te different riders were from the past rather than parallel dimensions.

EDIT: oh no...what did I start? Guys, I just wanted to know which one to watch first.

I'm on episode 13 of Ryuki now and I'm wondering; is Shinji gonna get a better ride than what he has now? I mean, dude rides a scooter! Godai (Kuuga) had a nice ride, Shouichi (Agito) and Ryo (Gills) had nice rides, Ren (Knight) has a nice ride but Shinji... well.

Nope. Well, he does but just for a finisher. With their powers being based in the mirror world it makes sense that they have boring bikes.

I found a sub of the first Kamen Rider OOO episode, and I loved it. Now I gotta find more English subs of the series.

Following Wizard as it goes on. Working my way through Fourze as well. Both are the first Rider series' I've watched. Probably gonna watch Kiva and Ryuki next.

Man Kabuto has gotten a bit...odd. It honestly feels like the plot has completely changed just over half way through the show. Also getting a little annoyed at the "you know this person who's been a big part of the show? Guess what! They're a worm and they didn't know it!".

I think that's pretty much the standard reaction to Kabuto. Its a great show but it doesnt just have plot holes, they're damn chasms :lol

I'm pretty sure that was planned from the beginning. What happened after that point, though, ran into a lot of trouble when the actress fell ill.

EDIT: Ah, after doing some research it appears she had the same thing happen to her that the actress playing Hana did. That sucks.

Her absence definitely affected the plot. I'm glad to see that she came back, but the show never felt the same after that happened.

Yeah, I remember that back when W first started there were some concerns that there was a curse on Kamen Rider actresses. Miyuki Kanbe from Hibiki died (:(), Yui Satonaka from Kabuto got really sick, and Yuriko Shiratori left Den-O for fairly vague health reasons. There were some concerns around Hikaru Yamamato when W started after rumors started surfacing that she'd posted explicit pictures of herself online and/or had plastic surgery. For awhile there was speculation that she'd be kicked off the show.

So...is that why Hana stayed a little girl even in the movie?

Yeah. From what I've gathered there was some initial uncertainty about whether or not Shiratori would be coming back to the show. Ultimately she didn't, which led to Kohana being a permanent part of Den-O (until she disappeared, too, at least - I vaguely remember reading that the actress retired to focus on school).

Thats what Id heard as well. Its unfortunate that Yuriko had to leave the show but Kohanas actress did a fine job as well. The only real problem with Yuriko, and for that matter Takeru Sato, leaving the franchise is that they were singularity points. They weren't supposed to be change by time shenanigans. But thats the only reason ever given as to why they changed :(

You have to cut Takeru a break. He played Ryutaro for the full series and 3 movies, and not everyone is gonna be like Renn Kiriyama, huge KR fans willing to come back year after year.

They could've saved them alot of trouble with very little work. Just do the series starting with Momo has Den-O. New Imagin, new Rider to help. So instead of varied forms you have many Riders.

That would be too brave of an idea. Having a show with a monster as the main character isn't something Toei knew would work; I'm pretty sure the popularity of the Imagin wasn't something Toei anticipated.

I'm at episode 15 of Ryuki and I must say its really different to the other KR series that I've seen. That there isn't a single organization against Ryuki unlike Kuuga who had the Grongi and Agito vs the Lords is really something. And the appearance of other riders is fun to watch.

Someone tell me that Meteor cuts back on the Bruce Lee sounds when fighting, I mean I know he doesn't do it constantly, but the times he does are really annoying.

Also, what exactly is Fourze's catch phrase? The site I'm watching it on seems to have a few different translations depending on the episode. Sometimes it's "Space is awesome!", which is my personal favorite, others they translate it as "It's space time!", and the wiki seems to have something different altogether, what is it?

The fighting sounds cut down a little bit, but it's still there throughout the series. I didn't like them very much at first, but the awesome choreography for Meteor won me over in the end.

And Fourze's motto is "Uchuu kita", of which "uchuu" literally means "space". "Kita" is a little more iffy, as it can be translated to a lot of different things depending on the context. Generally, it's used as "is here", "awesome", or "North". It's just one of those things that doesn't have a perfect translation due to all of the different connotations.

More often than not Uchuu Kitaa gets translated as "It's Space Time!" or "Space is awesome!"

Or "Space Kitaa !" according to TN :lol
