I don't think you can get burnt out of something you're not that into in the first place. But if there are any crucial sentai show stops along the way, don't hesitate to share.

Gekiranger 1-3

The first I've ever seen of Jan was his cameo in Gokaiger. I wasn't sure how literally to take that raised by tigers line, but there was no way I could've been ready for that scene of him wrestling the panda. I can see how people would find him annoying, but he doesn't bother me at the moment.

I can't really compare this season to Jungle Fury at all since JF is a season I haven't seen that much, but does it also have that fly creature commentating over the robot fights? Speaking of which, I really dig the mecha in this. It moves so smoothly, though I guess that's due to the fact that it's not really a robot at all. I really dig the G Gundam esque way they control it too.

The whole martial arts theme is really exciting for me, since I got really big into wuxia for whatever reason a couple years back. So all this talk of training and seeing whose school of martial arts is better is pretty cool to me. Out of the three episodes I saw, I'm especially liked the third one!

Also on a slightly different subject, I sorta like PR/Sentai teams that start with three members and get more later rather than five. I dunno why, something about it just appeals to me.

It pretty much killed the Kenji Ohba episodes for me.

I dropped it because of how terrible the TVN subs were. "I'm brimming with earnestness!" is a line that actually shows up at one point. I do want to see the show as it looks really fun, but dem subs...

Yeah the Nihon subs are kind of a pain...I mean I'm sorta interested in what the Gekirangers attacks would mean when translated, but...I guess that ain't gonna happen.

Also why the fuck do they never translate "mou". Doesn't it basically mean, "geeze" or something? Why leave that untranslated?!

Actually, there was another sub group who did translate the Gekiranger's attacks.
Unfortunately, they took things too far an made it a literal translation for everything, including the name of the team.
If you can deal with the Gekirangers being called the Wildrangers or something, Rio called Leo, and other such translations, then it'd be up your alley.

The Power Rangers wikia features translations for their attacks, however.

I'd like to point out I'm not slamming TVN in general. Their Boukenger subs are just really, really bad, even by TVN standards.

What I really want is a perfect balance of knowing when to translate things...and when to keep them the same. Honestly no sub group I've seen have ever gotten it right. But maybe some day...

There are sub groups who don't go nuts and translate every literal thing on screen, names included. They just don't tackle projects were it makes much difference :lol

Sounds like it was Hikari Senshi as they did the same thing with DaiRanger and GoGoV.
