I forgot about preorders (again) and went to bed. Luckily everything was still available at AmiAmi. I expected more demand for some of the releases.

I was afraid that some people might've forgotten considering the morning pre-orders go up this thread usually has a few replies from fellow collectors sharing what they pre-ordered, but it was a bit empty in here this time :lol

HLJ is taking preorders for Hongo and Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider 1 again.

Got my Sigma last night. He is awesome! Love the paint work on him and he's fun to pose (although the neck on mine is rather loose).

On an odd note, noticed on the shipping label from Nippon Yasan that they grossly over-exaggerated the content value of the package. Been a while since I ordered from them, but never really noticed it before. It was at least 3 times the actual price of the figure... No problems here, but that would be an issue for some in other countries right? If so, that's really low of them and gotta suck. :/

No real issue, what usually happens is if the value declared on the package is low enough they don't bother charging the taxes but if the value is high and there's no bill attached then they want you to come and pick up the package yourself, with the actual bill of what you paid, which they use to calculate your taxes.

So it's either low enough that you don't pay anything whatsoever and if it's too high you have the bill of what you actually paid, they can't charge you based on what some dude wrote on the label. I can only speak for Europe of course, who knows what's going on in other parts of the world import-wise.

It's still a bit weird that they do that, possibly just a human error when they wrote the value down.

Yeah, can't say I've ever had it raised. Usually they put it as like 1000-2000 yen, and that's on Masterpiece Transformers as well.

Kamen Rider Eternal was shown off again at the Tamashii World Tour event in Taipei. Nothing we haven't seen before but the fact that they're showing him off again should be a good sign that we'll see a release date for him soon.

A sight Philip and Shotaro would deem fitting for sure, but I think it just looks that way because they posed it a little bit unfortunate. It looks great regardless IMO, but they also had it displayed in a more natural way when the figure was revealed:

They took a basic pose of the character and changed it up a bit by articulating the cape, I think that’s servicable enough for a decent pose.

Yeah they could have, but it's a toy show, unless it's a diorama or some kind of special display they stick to more basic poses, easier to set up and maintain I assume.

Absolutely, to the point where colors or shapes look completely different than they do in-hand. The good thing is we usually get multiple angles and lighting settings from convention displays and then official pictures with a studio setup so we know what to expect most of the time.

Someone like Den-O, Kickback, Ryan, googlev or the other many talented photographers who post here regularly can probably write you a short story about all that :lol

I'm not, I hate cloth capes. Give me rubbery ones like what Hasbro uses for Marvel Legends and DC used for their Icons line.

So I was randomly browsing the Tamashii website and found that Ultraman Orb Origin's product page has a link to a survey.

It's the usual "Where do you live, where did you hear about the figure, where did you buy it, what else do you collect" and stuff, but also which Ultraman figures you want to see in the future (It includes newer ones like Ginga, Victory, and X!) and: How much you enjoy Org Origin. How you like the paint, accessories, molding and so on.

I've never seen anything specific like this, it really looks like they want to see how this one does before they dive into more. And they also ask which Ultraman Orb forms you want to see released, from the prototypes we've seen.

If you want to make your voice heard, do the survey, google translate helps.

I will wait until I have Orb Origin in hand so I can give proper responses to the quality of the figure. If you don't plan on buying Orb Origin, just judge based on pictures and tell them they did a good job or something.

Also, really random tidbit: There's a question asking you which SHF Ultraman figures you own and/or plan on buying. It lists all the figures released and upcoming that we know of, but... there's also Ultraman Geed Primitive in there. Like, all the other choices are figures already released or confirmed for release. But Geed is in there too.

Tamashii obviously want big things from the Ultra line if they're doing this again. I remember them doing the same around the time the line first started and Orb was airing.
