The December wave of Figuarts is now up for pre-order at HLJ :)

I forgot about preorders (again) and went to bed. Luckily everything was still available at AmiAmi. I expected more demand for some of the releases.

Glad you could get everything you wanted, I secured Takeshi Hongo, Rider 1 and Ultraman Orb! |

Yay, nothing I need to get that Bluefin won't release this time around.
|
HLJ is taking preorders for Hongo and Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider 1 again.

Got my Sigma last night. He is awesome! Love the paint work on him and he's fun to pose (although the neck on mine is rather loose).
On an odd note, noticed on the shipping label from Nippon Yasan that they grossly over-exaggerated the content value of the package. Been a while since I ordered from them, but never really noticed it before. It was at least 3 times the actual price of the figure... No problems here, but that would be an issue for some in other countries right? If so, that's really low of them and gotta suck. :/ |

So it's either low enough that you don't pay anything whatsoever and if it's too high you have the bill of what you actually paid, they can't charge you based on what some dude wrote on the label. I can only speak for Europe of course, who knows what's going on in other parts of the world import-wise. It's still a bit weird that they do that, possibly just a human error when they wrote the value down. |
Yeah, can't say I've ever had it raised. Usually they put it as like 1000-2000 yen, and that's on Masterpiece Transformers as well.

Ultraman Orb Origin and Origin The First will be released on August 11th, so Tamashii posted a blog with some sweet pictures as well as shots of the packaging:

I'm going to try interview Bluefin at Otakon in DC. I will do my best to ask questions related to S.H Figuarts, SOC, and other Tamashii related figures.

Kamen Rider Eternal was shown off again at the Tamashii World Tour event in Taipei. Nothing we haven't seen before but the fact that they're showing him off again should be a good sign that we'll see a release date for him soon.

That cape looks awful.

Hyper Kabuto was also there, but also without a release date attached to him, but I do think he'll be out sooner than later as well. Quote:

http://i.imgur.com/bBFfrcz.jpg They took a basic pose of the character and changed it up a bit by articulating the cape, I think that’s servicable enough for a decent pose. Quote:

I guess figures just like people can have bad angles and lighting. |

Someone like Den-O, Kickback, Ryan, googlev or the other many talented photographers who post here regularly can probably write you a short story about all that :lol |

So I was randomly browsing the Tamashii website and found that Ultraman Orb Origin's product page has a link to a survey.
It's the usual "Where do you live, where did you hear about the figure, where did you buy it, what else do you collect" and stuff, but also which Ultraman figures you want to see in the future (It includes newer ones like Ginga, Victory, and X!) and: How much you enjoy Org Origin. How you like the paint, accessories, molding and so on. I've never seen anything specific like this, it really looks like they want to see how this one does before they dive into more. And they also ask which Ultraman Orb forms you want to see released, from the prototypes we've seen. If you want to make your voice heard, do the survey, google translate helps. It's open until November, you can find it here: https://p-bandai.jp/enquete/1000004730_outline/ I will wait until I have Orb Origin in hand so I can give proper responses to the quality of the figure. If you don't plan on buying Orb Origin, just judge based on pictures and tell them they did a good job or something. Also, really random tidbit: There's a question asking you which SHF Ultraman figures you own and/or plan on buying. It lists all the figures released and upcoming that we know of, but... there's also Ultraman Geed Primitive in there. Like, all the other choices are figures already released or confirmed for release. But Geed is in there too. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I wonder what that means... ;) |
As cool as that sounds, the survery is all in Japanese, so it does me no good.

Tamashii obviously want big things from the Ultra line if they're doing this again. I remember them doing the same around the time the line first started and Orb was airing.
Time to spam send "Make Alien Zetton" again :D |
Quote:
Let's see, in the section that asked what Orb character do you want, I told them Zetton Deathscythe. In the other section that said choose 3 characters to have made into Figuarts, I wrote in Dinosaur Tank, Iron Rocks, and Badu. For the other Ultramen, I only voted for Nexus as I didn't see Zero on the list. |
I asked for Alien Zetton, Jamila and Eleking.

Did the thing. I...think it went through? In any case I picked Dinosaur Tank, Red King and a bit of a random one; Ragon.

Which honestly I kinda want to happen now, if nothing more than to see someone pop it's head on a Schoolgirl body. :lol |
