Well that was easy. Totally forgot it was dropping, and didn't get to the page until 45 minutes after and still got my preorder in.

By the way, I took the headers for the Build Figuarts on the Tamashii website apart, and as it turns out these look rather nice without text and stuff. If anyone wants to use them as wallpapers/headers/signatures/whatever, be my guest!

Yeah, surprised Night Rogue was still up by the time I checked so put in a pre-order along with their Build restock.

Still waiting on Kamen Rider Genm Lvl X to get shipped to me from Nippon-Yasan...feels like they take their sweet time shipping anything out. Anybody else have this issue?

That's normal, they apparently ship out stuff in waves or something, I had to wait up to a month for things to ship several times as well.

They might also get their stuff in waves from PB and just send it out as they get it, I have no idea who's at fault here.

Okay that's a sigh of relief (sort of). Hoping he comes sooner than later. Genm is my most anticipated figuart of the year.

I don't know how long you've been waiting already, but if the figure hasn't been shipped one month after the release date I would write them a mail just in case.

Which reminds me, I need to email Anime Export. Still no update on the Amazing Mighty I preordered almost a year ago. :(

I'm still waiting on my Genm and Mole Amazon, so I wouldn't worry too much. My Star Lord took forever to ship as well.

What would be the best Rider/Ultraman Figuarts to get for someone whose never got one before?
I’ve decided to dip into the Figuarts line but have no idea where to start so just wondering what would be the “best” example for a beginner to experience it

I'd go with Gaim Orange Arms. It's not terribly expensive, but it is a really terrific figure. When it came out it pretty much established a quality benchmark that later figures haven't always been able to match. Especially taking accessories into account it's hard to find a release that gets you more bang for your buck.

Abyss is another really great one that I always like to recommend, because it was my first, and it definitely pushed me full-force into wanting to collect Figuarts. It's an excellent figure with lots of accessories, and also on the cheap side. Proportions are a little outdated compared to more recent sculpts, but the Ryuki bodies still hold up very well.

For general Rider Figuarts, I'd start with Build as he's an upcoming figure for a currently airing show but also very cheap. You don't have to pay a lot to get this one. Getting a pre-order in might be difficult at this point but they do open up from time to time again.

For Ultraman, you can start with what you want since most of the recent figures are still available. You can get the very first Ultraman or Ultraseven depending on who you like more, or if you're into the current show you can get Ultraman Geed, he comes out next February.

For Rider there's also the option of Shinkocchou Seihou which is a notch above Figuarts, they're releasing the very first Kamen Rider up next, that might be a good one to get too. It could be tough to get a pre-order in at this point though as this one's out in December but maybe you can still pick one up.

It's currently on Order Stop at HLJ but if you look around you might find one at another retailer. Or you get lucky and buy it after release.

If you are just getting into Rider Figuarts, go with either Blade, Black, or the SS W.

For Ultraman, go with either Ultraman with the buildings or Ultra Seven.

Is Mandarake good when it comes to figuarts? and also do the figures come with stands for Rider Kicks etc or are those separate

Yeah, Mandarake is one of the go-to retailers if you're looking to pick up Figuarts on the secondary market.

And sadly stands are a very rare inclusion with Rider Figuarts, I've been buying them for like 3 years now and haven't gotten a single one.

They are sold separately as "Act. 4"-Stands though, I suggest you pick one pack up. They just got restocked in October too, so you should have no troubles finding them.

Yeah it's very rare that Figuarts actually come with stands oughtright. Usually, the only way to get one is as a pre order bonus with it.

That said, they're pretty cheap to get on their own.

there are two gavan type g so wondering which one is best, also how hard is it to re-sell not so popular toku characters figuarts you might have liked?

It all depends on who the character is and how much you're going to make the person pay for them.

The Space Squad Gavan Type G is the better figure. The older one is passable if you can get it cheap, but the sculpt isn't very good and the wrists are fragile and susceptible to breakage.

Which site would be a good place for a British boy like me to pre-order Geed from?

I live in the Netherlands but personally I use hlj.com and they still have Geed Primitive up for Pre Order

Amiami is also good but (at least in my expeirence anyway) their parcels are getting customs charges more and more often. HLJ are also good, but I still managed to get a £12 customs charge on a £10 vinyl last month.

The customs charges according to my local Royal Mail guy is cause they now take the postage into account when they assess the charge and anything over 15 pounds combined gets the charge
That’s why I tend to go sal as it’s better at escaping the net
Mandarake for some odd reason don’t seem to pick up charges, I had a geed Riser without charge hmm

SAL used to be my go-to way out of customs as well, but now even my SAL parcels are getting hit with £12+ customs fees. That's why I've switched to Nippon Yasan, because they (along with Mandarake) usually undervalue the parcel to be 500-1000 yen. It's shady, but they're the ones in the wrong rather than me.

Is that what’s happened? I just thought Mandarake marked them as gifts
I have my Gaim orange arms figuarts coming from them so hopefully I’ll dodge a charge on that

Just opened up SHF Ultraman A. Its a nice figure with some good accessories. A decent addition but not a must.

I'm not sure what exactly "Shinkocchou Seihou" is (thought it was just the title for higher end figuarts, like that recent Double figure), and I CERTAINLY don't know what a "Gallo Exclusive" is. Looking them up on google just links me to sales sites.....sometimes sales of different figures, so that's even less help. I'm looking for a bright gold, detailed Garo figure of the original design, but I'm having trouble keeping track of what toy is what here. ^_^; Help please?

That figure is the "golden shine" repaint of the Ryuga Garo armour from Yami o Terasu Mono, which was released as a web exclusive August last year.

I have the standard colour version and its a great figure (far better than the original GARO Figuart), but it won't be anywhere near as good as the Shinkocchou Seihou (which is the subline for the more accurate/better proportioned Figuarts) nor does it have the same shiny finish. The armour itself is also a bit different in design from Kouga's if you look at it closely.

The Seihou still doesn't have any sort of tentative release date.

Still it looks amazing and the Black stage that came with it is a great stand for it to go on
