Space Sheriff Gavan Episode 2: Well I loved this episode a lot more than the first because it had a lot less sporadic jumps in the pacing, Makuu had a seriously dangerous threat, and Retsu kicked a lot of ass. The space battle was awesome, the stealth takedowns from Gavan were great and some were hilarious, and the battle with the weird frog monster was fantastic. I love how the go to the other worlds or weird place to have the fights, it's dark and eerie which is kind of awesome, the fight on the planet's rings was pretty sweet. I love Dol too how can you not love a giant space dragon that kicks ass. Definitely reminds me of an amalgam of UltraMan, Sentai, and Rider together. I loved the sword fight too that was one heck of a fight and just loved Retsu fighting and sneaking his way to stop the Makuu threat. I can't wait for more action-packed adventures of Gavan.

Well
I'm on episode 9 of Chouseishin Gransazer. It's so damn amazing, it has a great plot with an interesting idea for heroes and their backstories. I'm on episode 6 of Tokkei Winspector. My favorite metal hero as a kid(I'm a lot younger than most Toku fans), but it's a blessing to be able to see it subbed. I haven't had a lot of time to see it, I started it in October, but it's very suspenseful with some great action scenes, and the series is more realistic, but fun at the same time. Awesome series. |
Space Sheriff Gavan Episode 3: This was fantastic. This episode actually introduced one of the major plots of the show with Gavan searching for what happened to his father and why Hunter Killer betrayed them. I definitely love the stealth and the action in this show. Kenji Ohba sure is stellar with his performance here. I definitely feel he is one of the big reasons Metal Heroes was successful for it's time in the beginning. Mimi is very useful and an interesting supporting character too. I am enjoying learning more about Gavan's backstory and more about the Makuu as well. I love that he defeats two monsters an episode, especially love the sword fights here too. I love his abilities too, the Lazer Z Beam and Gavan Dynamic are awesome. Definitely a fun series so far and I can't wait for more.

Space Sheriff Gavan Episode 4: Retsu is such an ass-kicker, seriously his moves are awesome. Well right now till the plot moves on it's just normal stop evil Makuu plot, this time with the Demon Helm, which was interesting part of Planet Bird history that was brought to Earth. The supporting cast is fun, especially the Old Man who runs the ranch or whatever. I am more intrigued with the story with Hunter Killer and what looks like sets up next episode with Gavan chasing after him. Really the action is the highlight of this show right now Kenji Ohba really outdoes himself here it is something else just to see how he knocks out these henchmen. Still enjoying it and I can't wait for more.
Space Sheriff Gavan Episode 5: That was another fun episode. Nice to see that Mimi can handle the situation without Gavan and not panic about his poisoning. Marine was fun even for a small part. Gavan being poisoned sucked as much as how much he got paid lol, too bad the Space Sheriffs can't give him some Japanese Money to survive on or something. Still the highlight of the show are the battles and Kenji Ohba's amazing talent keeps shining here I loved every moment of the fights and definitely can't wait for more. Space Sheriff Gavan Episode 6: Ah the try to take over kids and make them geniuses to use them against the Toku hero stock plot episode. I don't really care for these episodes because they focus a lot on the kids rather than the hero. Still that's just me not caring for the stock plot not anything against this episode. I rather enjoyed this episode seeing how much Gavan cares for the kids and going to great lengths to protect them. The music is really awesome during these episodes I love the serious music really makes the Makuu plots really eerie and serious. Also the theme song during the fights are awesome because the theme is just awesome. The action continues to be the highlight for all the same reasons I mention before but the Lazer Z Beam looked better this time around and I love the sword fights too. Even though it's still episodic like Showa-Era shows are, I still am loving the hell out of this, Kenji Ohba is fantastic and I just love Gavan's armor a lot. |
I keep wanting to watch Metal Heroes but none of the ones i'm rally interested in are subbed. Can anybody point me in a good direction?

I was really hoping to watch Ninja Sekai Sen Jiraiya, but it seems as though not a single episode of that has subs. Lame. |

Also, Metalder is just a really great show and more people need to watch it. |

Gransazer has a little CGi, but that's for like effects and stuff. The Mech battles are done better than Sentai, and aren't used repetitively(not used in every episode). It's really good. |
