And not a single proper shiny Pokémon in sight.

Maybe that one's being petty (I would disagree...), but all around the palette swaps and alts just seem so horribly mishandled with this game. So many decisions or omissions don't make sense.

We have orange Pikachu and black Greninja, so we have shiny versions of those two.
No real excuse for Charizard, but...We have that? *Shrugs*

The Pikachus are in hats though... Would prefer a normal shiny, but yeah I guess I can't entirely discount it.

The Greninja doesn't actually look black to me. Just navy. And even then the tan should be black too and the tongue deep red not orange.

As a guy who mains Lucario, that remains my biggest disappointment...

But again: The Pokémon were just an example since I know them best. Others still don't make sense to me. Not-Dark Pit-black Pit. No Ms. Pac-Man. Patriotic (if you live in the US, which makes it weirder) Mario. Just... not handled well IMO.

I'm not saying the colors are amazing or anything, but some of them (Particularly Samus's, the Villager's, Shulk's, and even though his shiny isn't perfect, Greninja's color choices look nice as a whole, as well as the B&W Dedede and the helmetless Meta Knight-Kirby) are fairly nice.

I do agree that they definitely could have done better than what they chose for the colors of the cast, though (Particularly disappointed by the lack of a Mrs. Pac Man. Also, no Galacta Knight Meta Knight. Damn...)

I'm totally using the red Wii fit trainer.

The patriotic Mario is a reference to NES Open Tournament Golf, an old NES golf game where Mario wore that outfit. But yeah, that doesn't really make it any less strange of a choice.

I'm mostly okay with the rest of the alts though, I usually just use the default colors anyway. I do like that Meta Knight Kirby, but I find it weird that they made it an alt for Kirby and not Meta Knight himself. I also would have liked a Galacta Knight alt for him as well.

Well, it's just colors, so I'm not really all that sour, just kind of disappointed, I guess :lol

Oh well. A Dry Bowser could've been cool, too.

I want to ask if Luigi having only 7 colors is a error on the image maker's part or was made to only have 7 in order to make room for more programming.

Most likely reason is the one who made the image didn't catch the mistake.
