Sculpting wise, the Figma looks way better IMO.

Well, that certainly does make the comparison a lot clearer. Its good that there looks like there will at least be some variation between them then.
Don't get me wrong, the Figuart is really nice but the face really doesn't sit with me right. It's giving off a creepy "this is a person in an anime mask" vibe. Its just not for me I guess. |

Why the sudden interest in doing Cardcaptor Sakura all of a sudden? If one company was doing her, then I'd just assume they were doing it for the heck of it. But here are two companies doing the same character in the same outfit.
S.H. Figuarts doing her would just go along for me as part of the "Magical Girl" thing they're doing with Pretty Cure and Sailor Moon, but Figma doing it just seems like it's coming out of nowhere when they've been focused on Attack on Titan and The Avengers as of late. Now if Figma starts doing Super Sentai or Nintendo stuff like crazy, I'm guessing we're seeing a full-on war between S.H. Figuarts and Figma. |

I'll be getting the figuarts version given:
1. She'll be consistent with my Sailor Moon,DBZ and Pretty Cure figures. 2. Bandai's more likely to have her out on time. :lol |

Like Kiryu said, Figma have done TONS of magical girls. They released the Madoka cast TWICE, and there's been a fair amount of Nanoha figures too. I don't know why both companies have chosen now to release their Sakuras, but it other than the timing it isn't really that much of a left field release for them. I wouldn't really say Attack on Titan and the Avengers have received considerably special focus either, they just happen to be the ones Western buyers have latched onto. There's been plenty of different releases around and in-between them. And as far as Nintendo stuff goes, they haven't quite gone 'crazy' but right now Max Factory are spread across way more Nintendo properties than Bandai. Figuarts has Mario and Pokemon, while Figma's done Zelda, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem... Quote:

Mind you it's still a very good figure, it's just starting to show its age a bit. |

Unless Force were to get an anime I doubt they'll bother with it. |
Vivio getting an anime first being adapted from the manga of the same name that focus on fate and nanoha adopted daughter vivio

Why is Bandai making Sakura? I thought Bandai/Bluefin said they don't like clashing with other companies, so why are they suddenly directly clashing with Max Factory? |
Who cares? An SHF Cardcaptor Sakura!

Blaziken came in today.
TLDR: Yeah it's pretty cool, but I'll always have preferred a regular one over the Mega. Stage is badass though. The head seems really, really big... but the rest of it seems proportionally fine. Nothing else seems terribly off. I like the way that the flames were handled too. They're a very soft plastic, so won't expect to be easily breaking them. Color-wise they could have benefited from some more orange though. Articulation's what you expect - can do anything really. And the forearms are on their own piece below the elbow so the flames can swivel out of the way too. The fingers are a pretty nice unique point to it; much better than the others we've gotten since the articulation's actually useful. And if you want to for kicking poses, even the toes can move. But he totally stands on the giant fur bell bottoms. Which is totally fine since it means Blaziken can stand on its own quite well, something not all the Pokémon can say lol. And as for everyone's favorite part of all of the Pokémon, I'm sure... the freaking gigantic Poke Ball stand! Except this time I'm actually excited for it! :D It's not the boring clear one we've been getting, but black, with the outline painted in some sort of silver. I say some sort because whatever it is, it reflects light in a rainbow, which goes right along with the Mega motif. It looks gorgeous. |
So how long till we get our Greninja figure?
|
how long till a blue/gary oak figuart?

http://tamashii.jp/images/item/item_...aAQjWbW_05.jpg http://tamashii.jp/images/item/item_...aAQjWbW_06.jpg http://tamashii.jp/images/item/item_...aAQjWbW_07.jpg http://tamashii.jp/images/item/item_...aAQjWbW_08.jpg I NEED IT! Seriously. When this figure was first shown I was strongly considering selling the DBZ Figuarts I had. Then I saw this. I kept those I had and bought regular Vegeta, and I think another one, I don't remember now. I've never seen the portions of the show where this fusion form appeared, but I have loved the concept of the fusion forms and all the designs work really well, in my opinion. Especially this one. So, yeah, I'm in. Maaaaaybe for two of them even, so I can display regular and SS versions, just as with Goku and Vegeta. MOAR FUSION FORMS PLZ, K THX! |
Gogeta now or GTFO Bandai. K thanks, luv you.
|
Caught those images this morning myself. Love that he comes with the spirit sword effect. A nice change up. Vegito was great in series, kind of a total dick to Super Buu, but then again that was all part of his plan. It should include a Vegito Chocolate Candy Version accessory too :lol
But count me in with people who are all for Gogeta. Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta that is :D But I'd take a standard Super Saiyan Gogeta too. |
Sadly, i"m a sucker, I'll be buying any and all fusion forms.

I don't think I'd go that crazy with the Dragonball stuff, but there's definitely some I'd try my hardest to get.

seeing vegito with that effect makes me want to own yu yu hakusho figuarts.

I finally bought Goku last week...
I wish I had gotten in on the DBZ Figuarts sooner now. ;_; Fortunately Vegito's still a pass for me since I don't consider him important enough. But coming with both a regular and SS head and effect parts is preeeetty cool. |

Yeah count me in for this guy and Gogeta too whenever they get around to doing that.
I was originally indifferent when I saw Vegito at SDCC (didn't look bad, just not terribly interesting) but it looks great in these pics and the extra head is appreciated. |

So yeah count me in for GT. |
If they want to do Adult Trunks again then they can do Trunks with the Cell saga armor on him.

Has there been any other magazine scans of other non-toku figuarts as of late?
