I like how people always seem to argue about a battle in another battle's thread :lol

And all he can do is just Maximum Hyper Typhoon/Cyclone. |

Kiva:
This Battle Closes when One Rider Reaches 10 More votes than the other, or on Saturday! |
...How many battles have happened today?

All right, this is the one I've been waiting for. I know Kiva has some (misguided) fans here, but I think I can make a compelling case for why he doesn't stand a chance here.
The thing that's great about this match-up is that these two are really similar. Kiva's base forms are a direct recreation of Kuuga's, right down to the color schemes: balanced red, fast blue, strong purple, gun-wielding green. The thing is, though, that there is very little that Kiva can do that Kuuga can't. And all of those things Kuuga can do better. Garuru form gives Kiva a speed boost, but he doesn't because as crazy agile and maneuverable as Dragon form Kuuga, who can literally leap tall buildings in a single bound. Dogga Kiva is stronger, but he lacks the nearly invulnerable armor that Kuuga gets in Titan form. Bassha Kiva may not have Pegasus form's time limit, but Pegasus Kuuga is the ultimate sniper. His sense and reaction time are so highly tuned that he can take down enemies with superspeed at over a mile's distance. And that's Kuuga's normal forms. He can also increase all of those forms exponentially by going into their Rising versions. That just leaves Kiva with Emperor form and, in terms of power, Kuuga can easily match that with Amazing Mighty or, if that's not enough (and it probably is), Ultimate. Whether or not you buy the idea that Ultimate Kuuga can destroy the world with a Rider Kick, you can't deny that the ways Kuuga's forms work (each tier being exponentially stronger than the prior) still makes Ultimate form the strongest final form in Rider history. Ah, but Switchblade, you may be thinking, Kiva does have some tricks that Kuuga doesn't. Kiva has Castle Doran, a giant flying castle dragon. Kuuga's Rising Mighty Rider Kick can take out an entire city block (that's not information from a guidebook, that actually happens on camera in the show). One building isn't that big of a threat. And before you argue he can't reach it, he can use the Gouram to fly up to it or just leap in Dragon form. Okay, but what about Kiva's crazy and nonsensical phoenix form? Yeah, that's just target practice for Rising Pegasus. How about the Zanvat sword? Kuuga's strongest forms aren't armed. Well Go-Gadoru-Ba, the last Grongi on the show prior to N-Daguve-Zeba, not only had a sword but also was a total match for Kuuga's Rising forms in terms of power and skill. Yusuke smoked him with no trouble in Amazing Mighty form. There is nothing Kiva can bring to the table that Kuuga can't cope with. tl;dr: Kuuga is a cool guy and Switchblade really over-thought this. |
Lets go kiva. All he has to do is fly circles around kuuga and fireball spam.

Now this is a much more interesting battle and a partial rematch to boot. My vote is for Kiva.

Kuuga.
I don't even need to post my reasoning. Switch already did it for me :lol |

Oh, yeah. I know that feeling :lol |
:lol Poor Super-1

Yeah, I'm siding with Kuuga here. He not only has the same form versatility as Kiva, but Rising forms only serve to make him stronger. The only way Kiva would win this is if he were fighting Onodera Yuseless.
|
I know Kuuga is the almighty one for riders, I do. But I want to say this would be a pretty even and fair fight. And Kiva fans aren't misguided. That show is awesome wether you believe so or not. That said I don't want to vote yet. I know who wins this round and it's not Kiva.

Plus there's that part where very few people have seen the Showa series. |

Man, somebody needs to get Koichi Sakamoto, Kenji Tomanaga, and Seiji Takaiwa together to actually film this. |
Kiva. Kiva just has the upper hand here. It would by no means be a close fight. Kiva would probally lose five times out of ten. But my bet's on Fangface to pull one out this time and beat down Kuuga.

Kiva. Kuuga has ridiculous power? Worst case scenario, Wataru could make it so that Olimar became Kuuga instead of Yuusuke by traveling back in time with Castle Doran. The likely situation, however, is that Kiva manages to pull through after a long and arduous battle in which he gives Kuuga the fever- be it Dogga, Gararu, or Wake Up.
Oh, or Basshaa Fever. |
I hate time travel. It skews results. Especially considering Kiva's form of time travel isn't even readily accessible during a fight like Den-O's or Kabuto's.
And couldn't Kuuga just use his Rising X forms should Kiva use his X Fever forms? Kuuga literally one ups Kiva at every turn. |
I think we all know that in most scenarios the only logical outcome of this fight is Kuuga. I LOVE kiva but even I must admit that if you ran this battle 100 times Kuuga would win a majority of the time. Of course there could be the right odd set of conditions allowing Kiva to win but its unlikely. The only other rider who could give Kuuga a loss is Agito.

While I love Kiva and the show I am voting Kuuga. As I explained this isn't a popularity contest of which rider we like more. It's a battle based on the statistics of the 2 fighters. In every way Kuuga would win. As much as I hate to admit it he would win.

So I voted for Kuuga. |
You had a good run Super-1!
|
This would be a really good fight, but like many have already said Kuuga just needs to break out the god-tier forms and Kiva has had it.
|
I voted Kuuga for reasons already mentioned in this thread.

Poor Kiva. :( |
There is one thing that could give Kuuga trouble in this fight- if Kiva removes Zanvat from the sword. It'd unleash his Fangire nature, and he could start draining Kuuga of energy, which could revert him to Growing form with prolonged use. Plus, the Zanvat Sword can destroy Sabbats. Imagine what he could do without the limiter.

I think the thing is that people who haven't seen Kuuga assume that Ultimate form works like any other Rider's final form. It doesn't, though. Kuuga's Rising forms are on par with some other Riders' final forms and few other Riders can match Amazing Mighty in power. Ultimate form was designed to be a power so horrible that it could destroy the world if Yusuke couldn't control it. Kuuga is almost ludicrously overpowered. That's just the way the show made him (it's probably one of the main reasons why Decade's Kuuga was made the rookie; he'd have easily overpowered any of the other Riders if he was written like the original version). Basically, if you think of it in DBZ terms, if an ordinary Rider's final form is like going Super Saiyan, Ultimate Kuuga is like SS3 (minus the stupid hair). |

no rising ultimate is ss4 which is also stupid then again so was everything about gt xp
