Still playing Titanfall and loving the living hell out of it. Its just so much fun.
|
Gonna go play some Diabolical box later.
|
Played a few more hours of FFX, there is lots more of actual gameplay on offer at this point in the game but seemingly to compensate the difficulty has massively spiked. I found myself fleeing from half the battles, and the other half I was always left babysitting my characters.
|
I played some Mario kart 8 today. found out my brother already reached 100 percent so now we use hi's save game.
|
Ugh... Online Hacking is just too hard. I'll never get the Achievement at this rate.
|
I finished the second chapter 2 of Diabolical box.
"Considering how people talk about her she must be very beautiful and very refined." "Professor, control yourself." I didn't catch this line the first time i played through the game. :lolol |
Finished Max The Curse of Brotherhood. It was a really cool game especially since it was free :lol

I spent the day playing playing more of Watch_Dogs and I've come to realize something, this game is pretty much just Assassin's Creed in the the modern era. Unfortunately, I am having way more fun doing the side missions (although, some of the Fixer missions are getting really repetitive and I still need to do 22 more of them) than I am with the story. I have only finished Act I, so I'm sure things will change, but I really do not like Aiden one bit. He is a one dimensional character and I just don't care about his motivations. He is boring. One other thing that annoys me is not with the game directly itself, but when the ****ing controller battery dies, the game does NOT pause. I was in the middle of a shoot out when the battery died and ended up dying thanks to this assnine decision. Very freaking annoying.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut
Finally got my stealth back on. As in, I got good at this game again. And actually progressed. Time to save some scientists after a cryogenic sleep. Persona 4 Golden I think Rise is trying to get in bed with me.... Quick summary: Nanako's social link moments almost brought a tear to my eye. Teddie is an awesome party member, that pasty dude on the Midnight Channel in July is fukcing freaky and I found Marie again! Borderlands I had to fight those 3 guard bosses and I'm still working on the final areas of the game. Something I'd like to bring up. I was playing Borderlands and it was ridiculously annoying to have to switch back and forth between the map and the gameplay to get an understanding of the terrain and where the hell I was going. I know there's the compass, but the map can be weird sometimes. I think I've gotten so used to Wii U gamepad map screens I can't go back. No seriously. Thank you Nintendo. I think every game that uses a large areas and maps should have a second screen feature. I know the PS4 has support for it, but fuck knows when I'll get that system and it already seems like a clusterfuck already from the varying Vita pairing/ standalone smartphone app nonsense. Why can't my consoles be fucking consistent with the features I like!!!!!! |

Pausing, using your map to fast travel, or trying to start a mission are how you can detect an intrusion... And I quickly learned is why you should avoid anybody with "strong" defense skills because they're probably just spamming the hell out of those to detect anyone. If you were not online, then... I don't know what went wrong and that sucks man. :/ |
"Run you bastards, I'm coming for you!"
I think Tomb Raider is one of the first games I've played where the gameplay actually fits the story. I know that sounds really odd but so many games that I have played, have found me at odds with the story. The most recent example of that in my memory was Sleeping Dogs, a story about an undercover cop who is morally and emotionally torn because he's a good man, forced to do bad things and may even like it. But the gameplay betrayed his character arc, because the game allowed you to gleefully drive along the pavement, killing hundreds of people on the hood of your sports car with only light repercussions. Can't you feel how morally torn he is?! Tomb Raider, on the other hand, makes me genuinely feel like I've shared Lara's arc. I'm now blowing people up as the palace burns around us, I'm clearing whole rooms of praying cultists by igniting the natural gas, I strike from the shadows and drag corpses back with me with my pickaxe and carefully take down enemies, one headshot at a time, without ever being seen. These are all things that the game has carefully allowed you to do, when it makes sense for you in the story to do them. At first I wasn't so sure, I know I've even claimed the opposite in the past, but just looking back we've come so far and in such a well paced way. I dunno, it's just an exquisitely designed game, with some of the finest gameplay I've had the pleasure of working with. Even the platforming feels natural and fluid, and never feels like an irritating bit of padding life it often is in other action games. This is fast becoming my favourite game of all time. |
Locke, we actually agree on something.

Maybe I'll pick up Tomb Raider and try it out considering the praise its getting. I wrote it off as Uncharted-Lite before.

Also my one pound copy of Fifa 12 came today, started playing as Cov City as that is where I live these days but my God they are ATROCIOUS. I had to turn the difficulty down and bankrupt myself with new players before I could even draw. Also all the numbers and stats, they seriously mean nothing :lol |
Only two Achievements in Watch_Dogs to go. One will just require me to escape 7 more police scans - and I found a great spot and method for doing that when setting up for the 5 star scan escape Achievement. But then the second.... The second is the drinking game one, which to me sounds like it may be the hardest out of all of them.
|
Wow Fifa 12 is buggy as fuck, you think it'd be ironed out three years on...
That said, the game is okay, Semi-Pro is a little too easy but Professional is way too hard. |
Playing some more diabolical box.

Got all of the crew members but I'm stuck in that gray limbo dimension again. Borderlands I beat the main game and that boss fight was... underwhelming. It was just a giant eyeball tentacle monster that if I spawned in the right place then it wouldn't attack me. Maybe it was because I was 2 levels higher then the boss but it was stupid easy. After 3 tries, I finally got him. Oh and I got that badass white Alien gun thingy. Very helpful in the hell hole that is know as Mad Moxxi's Underdome. DR Ned DLC for BL The final boss of thos mission had the exact same problem as the Destroyer, once I respawned, I shot him and he didn't do anything. Took a hell of a lot of bullets. Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut I'm lost. |
I beat Mario kart 8!
Don't you just hate it when somebody throws a cheap shot at you just when your about to reach the finish line? I DO! |
Suffered quite a lot of losses and draws today on Fifa 12. Fun thing about Fifa is even on an "easier" difficulty, in the nature of how the game works there are still chances for genuine surprises. Went from a pretty firm lead, right down to fifth and managed to drag myself to the top but only by a single point. It's intense, addictive and insanely frustrating at points.
|
So my brother wanted to join in the smash fun but we only had two gamecube controllers, so we booted up Brawl and then we realized that since we did the transfer to the Wii U Brawl doesn't have the secret characters unlocked.
I think they might be rusty because i beat them up with Peach. |

More Fifa 12.
I seem pretty trapped in fifth place by this point as we're approaching the final quarter of the season but despite a reputation for being inconsistent both me and my team are getting noticed by the powers that be and our rankings are improving in terms of star rating, stats etc instead. If we don't get promoted this season, next season we will. |
Finished Act II of Assassin's Cre... I mean Watch_Dogs.
|
I passed Diabolical box today. Tomorrow i'll begin Unwound future.

Persona 4 Golden
I'm on the 7th floor of the creepy guy's video game dunegeon and fuck this is hard. I swear I've been trying for like an hour and a half just trying to get through this fucking floor. And that fucking hand. I yelled an loud Fuck and my parents were weirded out by it. Soul Sacrifice Demo Soul Sacrifice is in what is called the boss Hunting genre, which features diffucult unique large enemies as the main opponents. These games are usually Japanese and follow in the same vein as Monster Hunter. I like the way combat works but the controls feel weird. My character feels very light when without weapons. The gimmick of this game is that you can sacrifice items in order to use as weapons, heal, give boosts, e.t.c. The problem with this though is that it makes the game a blatant grinding game. Boss Hunt games like Monster Hunter like to repeat bosses and force you to grind to make new weapons but the items are what you are directly grinding and turning around to fight with so it doesn't try to disguise it. |

Dragonrend against Alduin is just like fighting any old dragon (literally).

Kyne's Peace Animal Allegiance Ethereal Storm Call Basically every shout is useless outside of three or four. Unrelenting Force Marked for Death Dragonrend And maybe Whirlwind Sprint, that comes in handy if you have to move and you're carrying to much. But everything else I don't even bother with, to be honest. I don't even bother with my main storyarch at all outside of learning Unrelenting Force and the first word in Sprint. |
I find aura whisper to be really useful in dungeons. Find where the enemies are then take them out.

You don't miss out on much if you skip Skyrim's main story, it ends as soon as it begins and never captures the dizzying heights of its premise. Although honestly I'd say the side missions aren't much better.
Skyrim always felt unfocused and sprawling, you could play hours on end and never actually achieve anything. At first I loved getting lost in the world, but after a while it just grew to boredom as I didn't have any real goals. Tomb Raider presents an island you can get lost in, but there are limits, goals and points to what you're doing in Skyrim you could literally play the game for 12 hours straight and in that time maybe you get someone some groceries and that is it. |
