You are missing the whole point of the series. Yes, it is recycling old mecha tropes, but it is putting a new spin on them

Finally, I caught up in Fairy Tail 2014. Absolutely loving it. Natsu, as always, is being amazing as hell!

no it does not, the whole plot of human race leaves earth and is now comign back so we are sending our princess to come down to earth for goodwill? that is LITERALLY the plot of turn a gundam.......I seriously can not understand how anyone could defend this terrible series

this is coming from a man who REALLY knows his mecha, seriously, there is nothing original about this show whatsoever

Considering I don't watch anything Gundam save for G and Build Fighters, I'm enjoying Aldnoah.Zero very much so far.

that is the only way i can understand even enjoying this show, is if you have little to no knowledge in mecha, but seeing as i am a huge gundam/macross/mecha fan, this show is an insult to me at how unoriginal it is

there wasn't a single thing I liked about it, i suggest going to watch gundam instead of this

Thing is though, I love mecha stuff. Mostly super robot-type series, but I can appreciate the more realistic takes on mecha, too. I think it's kind of a stretch to say that only people with zero experience in mecha stuff would enjoy this.

Hell, this reminds me of Valvrave the Liberator in a way, only actually not terrible.

I'm sorry I can not even understand how someone can like this show, the first two episodes have been terrible, I guess being a hardcore gundam fan has spoiled me but I see nothing of value in this show

That kinda sucks...Turn A is my favorite Gundam series. I think I'll give it 5 episodes, and see what I think of it.

Really? Becuase I don't remember Turn A wiping out cities Macross style. I don't recall cany mech in Turn A that could disintegrate things with a touch. I don't remember any assassination plot.

Watched the first episode of Tokyo Esp and I'm really confused. It uses the characters from Garei Zero and references that show, but isn't in continuity with it either? Why?

It looked like shit but the episode literally didn't take its foot off the gas once and for anime especially that is something truly special. If the show can keep up this momentum I'll be sticking for the whole ride, regardless of the quality of the animation.
