That was the messiest launch I've seen in a while. Took 15 minutes for Amiami to actually get functioning and by the time it did, orders were full. I was lucky to snag one a few minutes later when I went to check one more time before going to sleep, somehow...

Is Bluefin importing Kiva? It's easier for me to buy retail stuff that they release than staying up at 3 AM for a SHF.

I missed the Kiva order window by minutes. I want to die. :lol

Check HLJ and AmiAmi frequently. People sometimes cancel preorders. I've had a couple of instances of picking up a preorder days or weeks after they'd sold out.

Hobby Search as well, and it was cheaper there than on AmiAmi by 900 yen.

I will prepare for daily disappointment from here to April. :lol

Does this happen like, randomly, or is there a time of day when they make available all their cancelled preorder stock?

So uh, late to the party, But I just got the 20 KRKV Kamen Rider Build and Faiz ( I missed Build last year for some reason)

You can see that Faiz's sculpt is severely outdated. It needs a SS version.

So Faiz is still my priority, this one isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it didn't age well.

Well, oddly enough I'm not disappointed, I knew what I was getting and I never bought the Figure Rise version as I didn't know if it would scale well with the Figuarts Line.

You can see the comparison in height in the picture I've attached to my post anyway.

Yeah this was the most unpleasant experience I had with AmiAmi so far. No biggie in retrospect, I could've ordered from other shops, I just already had an April order with AmiAmi so only paying for one shipment is the better deal.

The good side of this is that Tamashii apparently did everything right with that campaign of theirs because Kiva sold like freaking hot cakes. Hope this means more; I really want an IXA as well. Wouldn't say no to Kiva Emperor and Dark Kiva with cloth capes either.

Build is an excellent figure, a good pick-up for sure!

And yeah, Faiz is outdated, that picture is about what I expected when you stack up an old mold like this against something from 2018.

I wouldn’t be too sad with the purchase either though, a good figure is a good figure, even if it doesn’t work too well with the modern releases anymore it’s still a lot of fun to play with :)

Actually I have found a way so that Faiz doesn't appear too small next to the others.
Since it's an old figuarts mold, I thought that it worked the same way as the first DBZ figuarts at the upper torso.
You can actually make him appear taller by pulling up the torso a bit.
And secondly, I used the stand, so it doesn't appear to be that bad in my display.

I'm fairly happy with my purchase and I don't regret it.

When did pre-orders go live?

Sometime earlier today, don't know the exact time. I noticed it around noon eastern.

I just realized that I want a new New Den-O figure (SHF or otherwise)

I remember back when Figuarts first started: that one and Kamen Rider Yuki were highly sought after to the point where I would frequently see them going for triple digits, crazy huh?

So I've been watching Decade, and just finished off the Hibiki 2-parter -- absolutely loved it, and in general have been surprised by how much I've been liking the AR Worlds. Regardless, there's one thing I'm curious about; does Seihou Ibuki make a good Amaki stand-in?

Ish? I'm not sure who the suit actor for Amaki was; could've been male from the silhouette. The colors are a little different, but sure, it could pass if one wasn't looking too closely. (The Amaki suit has lighter blue gloves.)

Also, you may want to manage expectations post the Hibiki two-parter. (I thought it was a flat-out terrific tribute, but the rest of the series is inconsistent even before you get to the doesn't-actually-end.)

Went to Anime NYC this past weekend and man...I really need to remember to hit up Bluefin's booth on final con days more often.

They were cutting prices on a lot of stock in order to lighten the load to pack up, including deep-discounting older figuart releases. Walked out of the last day with the Scorpio Zodiarts for only $15 and, probably the best discount in terms of old stock, $75 for the SDCC Super Samurai set. Metallic finishes be damned, finally being able to finish my Shinkenger team for such a steal of a price felt great.

FYI: BluFin has those Samurai figuarts on sale right now for 50 bucks last I checked.

Hey, if anyone still needs to complete their Shinkenger team and doesn't mind the metallic finish, you can't get a better deal than 50. Most other sellers are still trying to move them for 100+.

Absolutely gorgeous. Seems they've spared no detail or paint app; the proportions and sculpting is spot on; and that cloth cape REALLY works out. The latter is what I'm most excited about here; I can't wait to see that applied to future figures! This especially gives hope for Kiva Emperor.

So my local store which is directly connected to Tamashii Nations put their pre-orders for Kiva at MYR 460, which converted to USD is about $110. Granted, this is because the item is delivered directly through the store so buyers doesn't need to pay for shipping costs. Also, the products arrives 2 months after release.

And I checked on HLJ, Kiva costs MYR 275 which is about $65, not including shipping.

At this rate, I may not gonna get him at all (since I prefer paying with cash and very rarely debit).

My Shinkocchou Seihou Wizard showed up today, and I'm so relieved! My biggest concern was that the Wizard Rings would have the same problem as the Gaia Memories from W: prone to falling out. The fit for both the hands and the ring-holder is nice and snug; I'm not at all concerned about losing them.

If there's a concern there, it's just that you need to use more than a little force to get a ring into place; I hope the pegs aren't prone to breakage. Since they're amazingly tiny, it's a little bit of a challenge to get the ring to face in the right direction on the first try. I hope I don't accidentally rub paint off the things. Neither has happened, so perhaps my worried aren't justified.

The robe is better than I hoped. It takes some careful fiddling to get it to look just so, but once you do so, the effect is worth it. The only thing that doesn't work super-well about it is obtaining a pose in which the robe's front hangs straight down. You can kinda-sorta fake it, but poses involving motion look terrific, whereas static poses just look okay (or, compared to the original Figuarts Wizard, phenomenal.)

I'm seriously impressed by this thing. Not only does the hand on the WizarDriver rotate, the switches also slide up and down so you can correctly reproduce how the Driver looks in each position. It's a tiny detail, and they took the time to perfect it.

The wildest unexpected feature? Your Wizard Effects Set isn't rendered completely obsolete. The hands of the new Wizard fit the sword and gun from that set, meaning the flame-bullet, water-slash, and "connect, please" effects are all still totally relevant. (I didn't think to check the fit of the Kick Strike part; I expect that's less likely to still be compatible.)

I thought W was the epitome of Shinkocchou Seihou design, then decided it was Decade. Now, I'm feeling it's pretty clearly Wizard. Bring on Kiva...!

Is there anywhere to get Shinkocchou Seihou Fang Joker without paying so high prices for it? Its still sold out most sites that I visit or people are selling it for scalping prices.

Just a reminder: Ultraman Belial goes up for pre-order tomorrow, December 3rd in Japan.

Be prepared for a rough ride though. There's Mazinger, Macross, Cowboy Bebop, Marvel and Dragonball figures in this drop. AmiAmi's servers might actually melt.

Good thing though: Out of all these items Belial should be the easiest to get. Hate to admit it but it's true.

I'm more likely to pick up a second-hand effect set once I saw that a lot of the parts can still work with SS Wizard. If anything, they complete his package even more. I'm honestly hoping the same can be said once they decide to hit Fourze in some way. It depends really.

I was trying to go for Broly, Gogeta and Captain Marvel but got errors at the order confirmation. Interestingly though as I refreshed my cart, quantities changed from 1 to 3 and back and the Macross and Mazinger items would be added and removed without me doing anything. lol. Was a wild ride. Didn't end up getting any of the ones I wanted from AmiAmi though.
