I do love those fire effects...

I use external flashes that allow you to have a lot more control over the light, which helps a lot. I also edit in Lightroom which is probably like 70% of the work since I screw up the lighting a lot.

Lighting is tricky because of the way it can drop off and be manipulated. One thing I have noticed is if you move the camera farther back, you will generally get deeper blacks naturally before post processing.

Oh man, it's amazing shots like these that really remind me how much I need a Zangetsu to partner with my Ryugen. They rarely if ever appeared together in the show other than the OP, but I'll be damned if they don't make a fantastic duo.

What stand is that? Both the base and the claw? They both look really useful.

It's the Saint Seiya Cloth Myth EX stage, by Bandai.

It uses similar arms to the Act 4, but has a much better claw, a nice base, and some energy effects that I don't use very often, but are cool.
