Thank you to both of you! That's a lot of info to keep in mind, but I gather it'll all be worth it <3
|
I'd highly recommend Tokullectibles. Decent prices, AMAZING communication.
Though you do pay upfront. |
Does 20 Rider Kicks Gaim not come with his closed Lockseed? Promo pictures and item descriptions show him with everything else the original release came with - including ofc the open Lockseed - but he doesn't appear to come with the closed variant.
|
From reviews I've seen, he does not have the closed Lockseed.

Todoroki and Poppy arrived today.
Todoroki: I never noticed, in the various advertising, that he comes with a version of his henshin device in its extended, strings-exposed mode. It's a super-cool inclusion; did the device ever get used in Todoroki's Rider form? I noticed they varied the colors on the disk animals; I assume they're the same molds, but tempted to double-check when I get home. Predictably, this is an excellent release. Poppy: Oh, dear. This... is not among the better Ex-Aid figures due to some strange design decisions. Although the left and right parts of the skirt can move up and down, they have no front-back movement whatsoever, so poses featuring the legs moving forward or back look very silly. I can't believe they didn't have the foresight to put these on ball joints. Also, while I appreciate that the Tokimeki Crisis gashat is removable from the driver, I'm baffled as to why it can't be slotted into the Buggle Driver Zwei's weapon form. There are lots of little shortcuts: she re-uses the splayed hands from previous Ex-Aid releases, so they're subtly a little larger than they should be. There's some paint slop I wouldn't normally associate with Figuarts. It's frustrating when you know a figure could've easily been better. Todoroki is worth the purchase. Poppy only if you're super-into both the character and Ex-Aid. |
Oh, wow. Check out Twitter. In addition to the expected Shinkocchou Seihou we know are coming (Neo Decadriver Decade, OOO, Kiva), we also get a glimpse of Core Medals and Wizard Rings I don't recall us seeing before, like the PuToTyra Core Medals and what looks an awful lot like the Infinity Wizard Ring.
On second glance, I'm probably wrong about Infinity. Turns out this is all in a video that was added to the Shinkocchou Seihou page on Bandai's site, and they pan over the Wizard rings and some collectibles from other figures. Several more Core Medals. It's not clear whether they'll come with the initial OOO release. (I doubt it.) |

Hopefully a reminder most people won’t need, but the next Tamashii drop is tomorrow, April 8th in Japan.
If you want to pre-order Kamen Rider OOO or the Ultraman Animation figures, be ready to stalk the website of your import retailer of choice :) |
And as expected, AmiAmi's servers manage to be total garbage yet again.
|
Did anyone get a preorder?
|
I was able to get one in after refreshing the page for about 20 minutes
|
I am considering myself insanely lucky that, yes, I did somehow manage to get an order on AmiAmi just now during the seriously couple seconds they sporadically enabled the pre-order button. That was just atrocious.
Not sure if it was OOO's popularity or one of the other releases tonight (really doubt it was Broly, only one I was somewhat interested in, but was having the same issues), but wow. This reminded me a whole lot of when I first started collecting and in the worst way possible. Wonder if the other sites will be just as bad tonight. |

I missed it. HLJ has it up but can't preorder it

I got it on HLJ. I was lucky enough to think of doing a manual search within a couple minutes of it going up, since they never put it on the main page. It took a while though, probably because they were getting blasted with orders, but each step of the ordering process took nearly a minute to process.
|
Managed to get one on HLJ. Amiami’s were gone before I knew it and N-Y have this weird new queuing system to even get into their website (anyone else noticed this?). Saw I was like 400th in the queue and just gave up.
But yeah, between this and the Endgame drop I’m getting horrible flashbacks to Tamashii drops circa 6-7 years ago. |
Quote:
They had this before though, they did a "no shipping fees"-promotion like 2 months ago or something, that’s when I first saw it. It actually worked that time though. |
The N-Y queue thing was weird. But once I got in, as long as the page didn't idle, I could just stay in until they finally put the figure up for order.
Now, if only Bandai would release the Ridevendor in bike mode. |
I missed out, but I always do on these. The timezone difference for me is terrible, I can't justify being up between 3am-4am no matter how much I want the figure. I'll just watch HLJ over the next few days, that's how I got Kiva. I'm sure I'll get OOO one way or another by the time he's released, it always works out somehow.
This is why I'm one of the few people who prefers web exclusives though, so much easier and less stressful when I don't have to worry about trying to fight for limited quantities in the middle of the night. |
This sucks I didn't even know it was going live....and at only 55 dollars too. Damnit, this was my most wanted figure period.
|
Hopefully the other forms will be a bit easier. TaToBa as the main form is obviously a lot more sought-after and popular; so I wager we'll only see similar difficulties with Tajador and Putotyra. But Gatakiriba and Ratoratah? Those shouldn't be too bad.
... right? |

For comparison, how many W, Kabuto and Hibiki figures were web-exclusive? |
Quote:
Gatakiriba is probably retail since they need at least one combo at stores for the gimmick to work out and might as well use the first, plus Kamakiri was an often used medal. Latorartar is a big maybe - as a combo it isn’t really that special but Lion and Cheetah were used very often. Shauta and Sagohzo are 100% Web-Exclusive IMO. These just aren’t all that well featured. Plus Burakawani, but that one I can only see made if all other combos sell extraordinarily well. For me, Gatakiriba and Tajador are definite retail figures. The rest, aside from maybe Latorartar is exclusive I’d say. Also, let me use this opportunity to mention the figure I want most: Birth. We’re so wrapped up in OOO combos that I haven’t seen too many mention Birth, I want him. With all of his attachments. Although they probably cut them in half and sell some with a Proto Birth repaint. Quote:
Kabuto had only one retail release, Kabuto himself. Same with Hibiki, all Riders besides him were exclusive. Makes sense though, he sold terribly. |

Double himself sold really well though, so if the pre-order meltdown of OOO is any indication we might also get a good amount of retail releases from his show. |
Kamen Rider Poseidon or bust

https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...nDetails/92144 OOO is up at BBTS
|
Straight up; I really, really want a figuarts of Aqua to be made. There's something about him that just makes him one of my favourite riders ever, and his emulation of Showa-era riders was perfect to me.
Maybe it's because Eiji's my favourite rider for his journey and core morals that I just really identify with; and the idea that someone like him can still inspire people in a dark place 40 years in the future with just that pure kindness and drive... it's an arc I really like. I could write a dissertation on how Mega Max is the perfect 40th anniversary celebration. ... so, uh, give me a figure of him; please! |
Does anyone know what day this month Kiva is dropping? I have some other items pre-ordered and I want to ship them together.

How did he (and Broly) sell out at BBTS?! They almost never sell out of pre-orders!
Dang it, I'm not used to the whole rushing to pre-order Figuarts thing...it ain't fun. |

I ended up emailing amiami about the servers crapping themselves and got this response
Hello. Thank you for mailing us. Thank you for your feedback. We will bring this issue to our meetings, and try our best to see what we can do. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for shopping at AmiAmi. Sincerely, AmiAmi |
