Have you built the MG Blitz and Buster yet? The SEED Remaster mold they share is fantastic, and they're available on Amazon for ~$40 or sometimes a little less. I totally understand the money thing, though.

It's an alternate take on the events of the show, so basically think of it like the "Ultimates" version of 0079.
Iirc the main changes are the mechs though.

So, could you watch the OVA as an alternative to the original show?

Yes. Same way you could watch the old movie trilogy instead of the actual show.

Not sure, so far it seems like they'll stick to key scnes to flesh out 0079 rather than tell the whole story of the manga.

I built Buster last year, I really like it. I definitely want to get the other 4, at some point. Blitz is the one I would go for before the others. Sidenote: why isn't there a 1/100 scale Skygrasper? I don't really need it, since i have the RG and the PG, but I'm surprised there isn't one.

Right now I'm a more focused on UC, ideally my next would be one of RX-78 ver 3 (because I have GunTank and GunCannon), Char's Zaku or Char's Gelgoog (because I already have Char's Z'Gok), or Nu ver Ka to go with Sazabi ver Ka (which is awesome).

I agree that you should do the Blitz someday, that thing's a masterpiece. As for the Skygrasper, I didn't even know there was no MG until a couple months ago. I just assumed that if it was an RG, there was a MG too.

I've actually been considering the One Year War game version of the RX. It's older, but it looks good enough to fit in with the other modern MGs, and it's $10-15 cheaper than the 3.0.

You know what would be a cool premise for the next Build Fighters? If all of the gunpla have individual personalities, or the personalities of their pilots. And the personality of their owner is imprinted on them based on how much they are customized from a straight build.

Or maybe it sounds too much like SD gundam....
