I'm keeping my purchases of new items restricted to specific series (so basically some OOO and Build figures, and when they eventually get around to Fourze), and if something is super cheap like Zero-One. ... that said I'm very likely to jump on Valkyrie and maaaaybe Vulcan.

Otherwise though I've decided that I get a lot more value out of Figure-Rises, and many of the older figuarts can be cheap and worth it as well.

Been thinking about getting a Blade figure to go with my PC, which I named Kamen Rider Blade. But with the Seihou versions of Figuarts coming out, is it worth it to wait on an upgrade or just get a different figure line version altogether of Blade?

It's tricky. I think Blade is definitely going to be redone, but it's a question of when, since Ryuki, Faiz and Fourze are all likely to be redone as well, not to mention any secondary or tertiary Riders and alternate forms they might do.

I'd say get Blade for now and if they do announce a new Blade, just sell him. It's still a very good Figuart and it comes with basically every accessory you'd need for him.

Blade isn't terribly expensive on the aftermarket, either; unlike many other examples...

I would wait for the update; the Blade SHF is outdated at this point. The figure is nice, but it won’t work standing next to modern releases.

I've been buying new releases for about 5 years now and I didn't have to replace a single figure yet.

I'm pretty much checked out apart from some backtracking. I'm too tired of BoJ's BS and the sheer expense is no longer justifiable, especially given the hoops I'd need to jump through to get any exclusives. Evolt was the exact moment I said "Screw this".

And then there was the debacle with Cap last night, so... yeah, I'm pretty much done.

You’re lucky. You should try ordering wholesale through Bluefin. That’s an entirely different jumping through hoops ordeal. Was told by my rep that I could order any volume of Endgame Cap, Spidey, or Iron Man I wanted provided I bought the exact same number of units in GOTG2 Star Lord, Dr. Strange, IW Cap, BP or BW. Even with the 50% off they are selling them for it’s a joke. Hell I still have a bunch of IW Figuarts i still haven’t sold. Sorry for the rant, just frustrated with Bluefin and Hasbro these days. Makes me wonder why I continue running my site.

I get your meaning. Honestly as much as I talk crap about Bandai it's a problem I'm noticing with the industry and hobby in general. There's too much too fast and it's too damn pricey. And that last one's only going to get worse for the foreseeable future.

Anybody else have problems with Nippon Yasan's customer service? I had a Shinkocchou Seihou Diend that was supposed to be delivered to me but it had the wrong apartment number on it (my fault).

But trying to get them to send it back or even get a response at all has been stressful. I really don't want to have to file a claim with PayPal but I fear it might reach that point since I really don't trust NY to follow through...

Is Kiva out of print already? I already see people selling it for over $90.

He's been selling for over $90 since he was released based on all the places I checked that actually had him in stock.

I was not sure since I haven't followed figuarts in a while. $90 is really pushing it for me, but I do want it. I also see Kiva go around for over $100, but I'm not sure if that is the correct price or not.

Technically Kiva's base retail price should be about $70 or so, but most places will buff the price due to the demand, considering Kiva's both a solid release and the final heisei rider people have been demanding for years.

So most places will either sell him base-price and immediately sell out of their stock or inflate the price to compensate for import costs or secondary market prices.

I got lucky and got a pre-order on Kiva by trolling HLJ everyday. Sometimes items will pop back up.

Well....gotta love AmiAmi and their crappy servers....

AmiAmi is the worst when it comes to this. And N-Y sold out instantly. Very frustrating.

Edit: HobbySearch appears to have sold out without ever opening pre-orders.

Both Den-O and Vukcan are in my cart but it keeps telling me their servers have reached the maximum amount of connections.

Couldn't get Vulcan Shooting Wolf at AmiAmi but I managed to get a pre-order in at CDJapan which was still available last I checked as of now.

I can personally say that pre-orders were indeed open but sold out very quickly. I missed out with them because I forgot my password and had to reset it but they were sold out by the time I managed to log in.

HLJ has pages up, but you can't add them to your cart. Not listed as sold out. Yet.

Well, more accurately, you can find them in search but not go to the page itself.

Edit: Put in a placeholder order at Amazon Japan (price is higher than HLJ atm) for Vulcan, but they don't have Den-O listed yet.

HLJ is pulling it's usual nonsense again:

Yeah, this is the worst I've experienced in a very long time.

Honestly, HLJ has been this way for pretty much every Rider Figuarts release since at least OOOs. I just barely managed to squeak in an order on him, but nothing since.

I had zero problems getting OOO and I slept through Zero-One.

Hell, I usually think I'm one of the lucky ones and somehow have fewer problems, like those Marvel ones a couple weeks back and getting all the ones I wanted in just a couple minutes.

But it's been an hour now and I've had no luck on any site. What a joke ha.

He's listed, but Amazon isn't listed as a seller, so it's all people selling at a major mark-up that don't ship outside Japan.

It's definitely BS. At least in the old days it was just sold out and you could go to bed in misery. This hanging on tenterhooks because you *might* have a chance is infinitely worse.

HLJ is STILL giving me the same error message about the stock changing, even though it's still letting me add it to the cart. This is awful.

D-o-n-e, done. It was crazy with OOO and this was even worse.

I got Vulcan no problem later after the servers were somewhat available, but Den-O was gone.

I'm out, I do this as a hobby, and this pre-order garbage every time sucks the fun out of it for me. Normal releases I'll get, Web-Exclusives too, but mainline Shinkocchou Seihou is dead for me from now on.

Screw this shit, the stress and time wasted on this is not worth one plastic figure.

Edit: 100% agree, Kiwami. Between retailers with crappy servers who should know by now what to expect and the quantity produced that never meets demand it just isn't worth it.

Can confirm the HLJ error's still going. At this point I have faith Bluefin'll bring these over with their push to try and cater more to the rider community. With how long their Zero-One preorders lasted, I'll just wait for any signs from them.

Plus, Gamestop for Den-O if all else fails.
