I saw Tokullectables has Figuarts Jin up for pre-order but that's not really an option outside of the US so does anyone know when it's going to go up for pre-order elsewhere?

I usually go to Nippon-Yasan for Web Exclusives though they haven't listed it yet. I think it should be going up some time in the next couple of days.

Just received Zangetsu Kachidoki Arms and the wrist pegs are VERY tight. Make sure you pull straight out instead of at any angle

I did not break mine but the right side took more effort than normal and the left side split at the balljoint. Had to pry the wrist guard off to reassemble and damaged the paint.

So 001 is almost guarnteed to be a P-Bandai exclusive?

I'd love for there to be SS figures of Kikaider and the Metal Heroes, but it seems more and more unlikely as time goes on. Unless those already exist and I somehow missed those.

No they don't, and sadly there a quite a few Metal Hero prototypes shown which were never released. Considering how many of these releases were available for a long time I'd say they didn't sell all too well. Which sucks because I really wanted Janperson.

Also, I don’t quite remember where it came from, but I think at some point Tamashii mentioned they wanted to introduce other brands into Shinkocchou Seihou other than Kamen Rider? That was quite a while ago though so they probably decided against that.

No, Garo did get some SS releases. Though I'm wondering if they sold as well? I know they were obviously very good releases from what I remember seeing.

No you're correct, I simply forget because Garo is pretty much non-existent to me.

They keep making them so they can’t have sold as terribly, although most if not all of them were Web-Exclusives I think.

Okay, dumb-dumb question incoming so forgive me: Did we ever get a concrete list of which of the Tamashii Nations Figuarts were getting released and which weren't? Because I know some were display only but for the life of me I can't find info on which ones those were. I know Zero One and Vulcan went up for preorder on HLJ but I didn't see Valkyrie, but what I'm most curious for is TaJaDor and the Kuuga alt forms. Mass releases, exclusives, or horrible teases?

We never find out which ones are actually happening until they happen. Until then we can only speculate.

I really, really hope that the other Kuuga forms aren't going to end up display only. Having had only the Red and Black forms for years has been driving me nuts, lol.

Especially since Kuuga's alt forms are so perfect when put alongside his base form. Each exudes character despite being so minimal just from the colour change and shift in armour. They accomplish a lot with a little.

Kuuga's one of my favourite suits in general for that same reason, really.

There's no way Shining Hopper won't be an exclusive. Upgrade forms always are these days, and even the Finals are (if they get made at all)

All riders from the current series usually get released, at least their base form. Albeit perhaps you must wait a bit longer if there are many riders, like Gaim.

I've got a feeling that Valkyrie is going to be a web exclusive, while Horobi is going to be retail release. I think they choose to release at least one base form rider from each main faction as a retail release, while the rest will be released as web exclusives. :cool:

I'm also waiting for Horobi. My fingers crossed he's gonna get a retail release. Besides being the first purple SHF Kamen Rider with near perfect accuracy & proportion, the design is really spot-on. Dang, the whole Horobi suit is masterpiece to me. :cool: I consider it a perfect release if the Attache Arrow is included. :thumb: The articulation might be little bit limited though, haha. :D

Thouser also starts growing on me. :)

I agree with what Kurona said. These days only base forms get retail release. Perhaps pre-final form and final form of the main rider (example: Gaim) if the series is VERY VERY popular. Alternative forms, upgrade forms, intermediate forms or whatever they're called were usually released as web exclusives.

Horobi's been teased quite a lot alongside Jin. I swear I saw some (official) social media post of upcoming releases that had him at the very end. Regardless, he's totally happening.

Oh wow, I completely missed that. Yeah, this pretty much confirms that Horobi is the next release for Zero-One. We should get more info regarding the how and when later this month I'd say.

Also, does anyone know the chances of them doing an Evolt Black Hole? They already released Evolt and showed Cross-Evol.

I don't really care much if Shining Hopper is webshop but I will be mad if they upped the price by giving it the "Geiz Revive" treatment and giving it swappable Assault Shining Hopper parts. I only want Shining Hopper and find it better-looking than Assault Shining Hopper.

Wow, and here I thought I was alone! I also prefer Shining Hopper to its Assault variant. They absolutely could do an armor swapping version but considering how much has to be exchanged (head, shoulders, chest, forearms & thighs) I think this will be two releases.

With different accessories too, Shining will probably come with the gun and Assault with the axe.

I'd be down for Ikazuchi. Hell I'd take a Dodo Magia too! I feel like in the old days of S.H.Figuarts we would've gotten every single form of the Assassin :lol

Even better in those old days we'd get both forms of Dodo Magia as a two-pack for 40$ XD. Wait, I kinda wonder why they stopped having metal feet in their SHF. That was one of the selling points to me and thought of them as "premium, unreachable" toys as a kid. I think I thought of that when OOO was the most recent figuarts or was it Faiz?


I just hope that Shining Hopper (or any of the other riders) don't clash with my Figma pre-orders. I just pre-ordered Raphtalia and waiting out on Naofumi and honestly hoping that Shining Hopper or Thouser gets announced sooner or later.

FWIW I also find Shining superior to Assault, mainly because I don’t think the blue is necessary or looks good alongside the green. Maybe if the blue sections were also green it’d look better, I dunno.

Had a thought recently. Since we're getting Human Ankh, I hope this means we'll be getting more figures of human characters in the future. I'd absolutely LOVE to have a figure of Ichijou from Kuuga.

That's true. On the other hand, I gladly pay the current prices for the kind of quality sculpts they offer today.

Oh good question, might have been either. Personally I prefer diecast in robot toys for an "authentic" feel and a bit of heft, with plastic figures of people in spandex I don't really need diecast.

This month should be Horobi and then Valkyrie next probably. I'm guessing the Shining Hoppers after and then Thouser. It'll take a few more months at least.

It looks a bit too busy I think. Also, I really like Shining because it was an update with a unique power that wasn't tied to a gimmick toy. Sure he got the Buster rather fast but for his initial appearance he was all about melee combat. Plus the transformation sequence is better. I don't know what that blue-yellow hopper thing Aruto does his best Gaim impression with is supposed to be but it doesn't work for me.

The popularity needs to be there I think, I like Ichijo a lot but I don't think a figure of him would sell all that well.

I've thought about this a lot as well; and I think of all characters, Ichijou would be the one I'd want to get a human figuart made of as well. Other big characters for me are Tsukasa (Decade), Woz (Zi-O), Misora (Build) and Izumi (OOO). All of them have such an important presence to me and I'd love to see them continue the trend :)

I'm still a bit torn about Geiz Revive. On one hand it's nice that they are doing the swappable armor gimmick so people don't have to buy a figure twice but on the other hand, he is pretty expensive compared to the usual Kamen Rider releases. Not sure if I'm ready to pay those prices yet. Haha.

But it didn’t quite confirm anything besides "sometime in the future". Tamashii placing Horobi at the end of the list of characters confirmed to be released in 2020 so far however - that’s exciting, I'm very much looking forward to the pre-orders.

Those SHF Horobi pictures I hadn't seen before are just gorgeous, and I have got to hold myself back. I told myself at most Zero-One and maybe Valkyrie for this line; I can't go getting Horobi as well just because he looks amazing!

On the contrary, that's one of the reasons we're buying this stuff in the first place :lol

Of course, the second factor that is equality if not more important is attachment. Doesn't matter how good the suit looks if it's worn by a character you don’t like / don’t like enough.

I do like Horobi and I’m finding I like him more with each episode; honestly more than most 01 characters (not in a bad way; I don’t dislike any character so far). But it’s not really “ditch your pre-established saving up plans” like...

The other issue is I wouldn't be able to decide which form to display Geiz Revive in. Haha.

I probably wouldn't be re-buying Gaim figures again but I'd definitely be interested in what they do with it.

And that's how it should be. Focus and the willpower to say "No I don't need this" are probably the best values you can have in this hobby. I have neither really.

Goretsu! Because the buzz saw weapon is better than the claw. I also like the bulkier look of it more.

I would definitely get Gaim himself just to have a Gaim for my main Rider display while the OG Gaim stays with the original figures and after that maybe a few more to use the gimmick.
