Finished episode 24 of Agito. Still liking this show so far. I like the overall mystery the show has going for it. Hope it gets resolved better than Kuuga, though. Too bad T-N hasn't subbed past episode 24 yet...guess I have to start using CAP's subs.

While I won't ruin it, I will tell you that the mystery does have a solid resolve. Especially for a Kamen Rider series. |

So just started episode 1 of W like, a few minutes ago, so guess I'm adding that to my current watch list.
So presently: Wizard: Up to Episode 18, waiting for subs. Fourze: Finished Kiva: Up to Episode 3. Ryuki: Not yet started. Den-O: Not yet started. W: Just started Episode 1. I think I have a problem. |
Don't think I said this, but last week I finished my first Kamen Rider show; W! And man, you guys were right, such a good show. Made me want all the W merch though. :lol
Gonna hit up Ryuki then hit up Den-O, since I figure I'll need something light hearted after Ryuki. :lol |
^gonna just toss in a suggestion to check out Fourze if you're looking for something light hearted. I've not watched Den-O yet, but I will be checking it out on similar recommendations.
|
^Fourze I will get to eventually, since I've still got it on my HDD. I want to do OOO before it though, so I'm going in order.

Decade: first 3 episodes + All Rider vs Dai Shocker Double: first 3 episodes Den-O: finished Kiva: can't watch due to technical limitations :( Fourze: Finished Wizard: ongoing |
Watched episodes 1-4 of Black last night. It's really good for treadmill viewing since there is aprox 4 mins worth of actual dialog in each episode and 16 of action. The rest is credits and theme song. I like the mystery and darker tone of the show.

Black may not be my favorite show but it's easily the best out of all the Showa Series (and most Heiseis) that I've seen.

Just watched the Faiz movie, paradise lost.
To anyone curious about Faiz, just watch this =p You get too see all the cool designs, minus Deltas and it just works better anyway. Orga and Psyga are awesome designs and the fights where pretty cool too. Especially Psyga vs Faiz. Bad points... Err slightly pointless start, that just felt like it was there to prolong the film a bit/ shoehorn in a prophecy. Kiba is as wishy-washy as he is in the series too.. "I'm Kiba and my opinions change frequently, usually because I've been beaten by somebody who opposes my ideals so I side with them." I really hope the Psyga and Orga S.H.F's get released... Now onto Blade. |
I started watching my first KR series, Kamen Rider W, a while back. I'm already on 39 and you know what? I fucking love this. It's just so much fun to watch. I'm not big into anime or Japanese shows in general, but I'm hardpressed to say a lot bad about this show. I love the Rider designs, Skull especially. Most of the main characters are great and fun to watch, and I'm hooked on the story. It's making my want the toys. I have MG Figurerise Skull and plan on getting Accel and Double, but I also want the SICs. (Or the Figuarts if they weren't so hard to find and expensive)
I'm glad I decided to expand my horizon and check out a show I normally wouldn't bat an eye at. What would be a good, more current Kamen Rider series to watch next? Kuuga? Fourze? I've heard good things about both of those. |

I'd personally recommend Fourze, but that's because I'm horribly biased towards space-exploring high school adventures. |
Up to episode 5 for W, about to start it up.
Really enjoying it so far. And I will second Brainchild's recommendation of Fourze, I really genuinely enjoyed my time watching it, kinda sad it's over. Also suggest getting caught up with Wizard, also a great series so far. |

Figuarts aren't that expensive. They are reissuing CycloneJoker, though BBTS still hasn't gotten it in. |

I would recommend OOO, but to not overwhelm you with 4 or 5 different series suggestions, I'll also recommend Kuuga. |
OOO is a really great beginners series. Lots of interesting characters, a really powerful hero, can't go wrong with OOO.
|
I already know a bit about OOO from the war core movie. I'm not sure if that's really my thing, but I may check it out. I'm not a fan of his design, though, so maybe that's where my hesitation comes from.

And OOO's design grows on you, either though just loving one form to just liking the suit more.

Basically, fans of the series felt that the OOO portion could've been a lot better. |

Oh, so it's just the OOO parts that are bad? Good, because I skipped over them until the end team-up bit. :D I was gonna say, too, the Skull bits I thought were really well done, and pushed the character from "cool design" to "Dude I seriously think is awesome." Especially since before that the only parts where the real Skull showed up alive was briefly in Begins Night.
I like the OOO forms that aren't three different colours. Between his detailed deisgn and the three colours he seems very over-designed compared to Double, but that effect is halved when he switched to a one or two coloured combination. |
Yeah, the Skull portion of Core were great, can't argue that at all.
I still think you could enjoy OOO. It has the best balance of serious and fun (Out of the series I've seen), and if you can get past the primary villain's annoying quirk, it's really a great series. Also, a minor point to mention, but Shotaro's actor loves playing the character. So in any crossover Double appears in, you can expect to see him reprise his role, which is always a plus. |
Awesome. :D

Also, I happen to love the TaToBa suit. It's one of my favorite main Rider designs. |
I dunno if I really like OOO's gimmick though honestly. Something about it just pushes me away.

OOO, TaToBa specifically, is a base colour of black with red, yellow and green in large quantities in a very intricate pattern overtop and the same amount of spares silver details. It just doesn't pull me in immediately. |

Just watched the first episode of Blade. Not a bad start. There's plenty of enigma and intrigue to get you hooked and it moves along pretty quick establishing everyone.
I like how they capture the undead as well, very cool and I look forward to seeing what abilities the different cards bring. |
Started Ryuki yesterday, up to episode 5.
Very cool show, though I feel like I *may* not end up liking it as much as W, but we'll see. Reminds me a lot of Highlander though. "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE RIDER!" :lol |
