EDIT: Scratch that! I figured out what you mean. |
Yeah the movie universe just fucked us out of yet another great character on television. The whole Squad is gone now.

It's weird because it seems like King Shark is going to be recruited into the SS in an upcoming episode. I don't see what the point is. |

Stephen Amell with appear in Legends of Tomorrow as future Oliver Queen in 2046 and will work alongside Connor Hawke. Also, as a homage to the Dark Knight Returns Green Arrow, Oliver will have a goatee and is missing his left arm. |

They have an Earth-2 Flash in the show for crying out loud.........just wait until DC uses that excuse as to why we have a "Justice League Flash" and an "Arrowverse Flash" existing at the same time. Believe me Kain, I'm also not a fan of the idea of their being an actual Flash movie out that has a DIFFERENT FLASH than the one on TV. Marvel at least knows how to keep the idea of a shared universe correctly, FOX and Sony be damned |
Legends Ep 2 spoilers:
Not sure why, but I'm glad they killed off Hawkman. He was by far my least favorite character in this entire TV verse. I'm not sure if it was the actor himself or just the delivery, but he came out really wooden and creepy. Like stalker creepy. Anyway, I thought this was even better than last week's episode. The countless amount of banter between the characters was hilarious. Loved every moment that deal with high Sarah and Stein. In fact, Sarah is a far more enjoyable character here than she ever was in Arrow. My only complaint is the forgettable score and that the audio during the action scenes sound terrible. It's like they muted all of the explosions. |
If you're gonna do that, use the damn spoiler tags we have dude. Just putting spoiler in tiny lettering at the top doesn't make ANY difference when it may not be the first thing that flashes up on the page when it loads.
[ spoiler] *text here* [ /spoiler ] without the spaces inside the square brackets. Learn it, use it. |

Didn't DC say the movies are a different universe? |

Besides if that character who died on Arrow really did die I'll be shocked that person never dies because I always want that character to be killed because of how much I haven't liked that character. |

Not sure how someone can mistake Grant Gustin's Flash for Ezra Miller's though. Or how someone can think that Will Smith's Deadshot and Michael Row's Deadshot are the same person. All they are doing is effecting the TV shows' quality by these assnine decisions. |
I agree it's stupid, but when I tried telling my fiancee why people didn't like the episode after we watched it and her immediate response was "Good! People do get confused!" *sigh*
Nevermind that doing it hurts the quality of the show we're enjoying, two people playing the same character is seen as bad to some.. but literally killing characters is the worst freaking way to handle it. |

I think it more has to do with the fact that another studio has the rights to the Suicide Squad now so the CW can no longer use them in their universe. |

So...DC is getting a new cartoon called Justice League Action.
It's featuring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, and a rotating member of the League. People are getting hype because Conroy and Hamill are returning to voice Bats and the Joker, while apparently James Woods is voicing Lex. |

Also not helped that TTG's Executive producer is coming back. |
The only thing I look forward too on DC animated side is Justice League vs Teen Titans.
IT seems DC wants to keep the soul of their TV shows only in their films now. |
Is Justice League Vs. Teen Titans gonna be a part of the little Son of Batman continuity they've been doing recently, or is it gonna be a stand alone movie?

Why can't DC just make fun enjoyable cartoons again that have a balance with the serious side? We have JLvsTT and then we get JL Go!. Each are on one extreme. |
Well we still got Killing Joke to look forward too.

I don't know why I didn't assume it'd be a part of the JL War story...Huh. Killing Joke might be pretty good, but I'm weary. |
Kinda funny since they're using the Young Justice design for Blue Beetle and Beast Boy for the Titans for the movie. Especially Blue since he's literally a copy and paste expect for his actual human face, which all they did was give him a different hair due.

Everyone's coming here and complaining about DC... and I'm just sitting here, enjoying The Flash and thinking about how great the new direction on the Superman books is.

Don't take this the wrong way, but we have every right to complain. Justice League Action might end up being Teen Titans GO 2.0, BvS looks like a disjointed gloomy mess along with SS and the comics are still entrenched in nu52's failure for the most part. I feel like we have to harp on DC so positive change happens all the time because the people running DC Entertainment are buffoons who would ruin anything that shows promise due to their misguided belief that it either has to be mind numbingly stupid or darker than a Goth's room. DC's bleeding money due to a horrible single vision and if carping at them forever is the only way things will get fixed then so be it. |
and im on the side that lookinf forward to BvS and SS cause i like every thing about the films and this what i like. heck i loved man of steel cause it was new take on superman that i love.

And as for the comics—most of them have gotten a lot better thanks to the DCYou initiative. Dr. Fate, Batgirl, Action Comics, Superman, Batman, Prez, Grayson, Justice League—these are some of the best comics DC's published in the past few years. The only book that's gotten worse, really, is Wonder Woman. But there are so many other series to read—I haven't even written half of them down. I get being wary of DC's work, but I don't think it should come at the cost of the good they're doing, too. |
I like what DC is doing on most of their other media stuff, sure the movies can take a bit to get used to, but it really saddens me that their cartoons doesn't live up to the quality they used to had. Young Justice was just really good, and it got canned, Teen Titans they could've easily made a spiritual successor to it or a straight up sequel.
The comic book sides? Oh yea I still love them, can't wait for the Raven comics to come out, gotta catch up on Deathstroke and Starfire though. |
I love what DC's doing in the comics and the TV shows. As much as I am excited for the Comic Book movies either DC and Marvel they'll never beat out the comics for me because it's one of my favorite story telling mediums.

And I see nothing wrong with being skeptical of a universe built on one awful film (man of steel) and trailers which present more of the same that it did. Totally unrecognizable and un-enjoyable versions of characters we all know and love. |
Quote:
There's nothing wrong with skepticism. But there's a point where it gets kind of excessive and, quite frankly, even ridiculous. All we've gotten for Suicide Squad are production photos, cast social media, and two trailers. We don't even know for sure who the film's villain is. You can be skeptical, sure. But a trailer that's set to "Bohemian Rhapsody" isn't really something you can say is devoid of all joy. |
I remember the DC You campaign... Had no idea it was flopped pretty hard.

Plus the movie is having a negative effect on the already established (and far superior, but I digress) Arrow, robbing it of some of its best characters and will likely continue to do so. That is enough reason in itself to not like this movie. "Dark n gritty" might be the go-to complaint for DC products these days, but there's more to it than that. |
I've never heard of DC You. Was that really its name because all I'm thinking of is Jesse Pinkman saying, "DC, yo."

We watched the last three week's of episodes of Supergirl tonight and they were all great. The Toyman one was kind of creepy and that is what Toyman should be. Then last week's episode with the white Martian was damn awesome. I can't wait to see who is impersonating the senator lady. And of course tonight's with Bizarro rocked. I couldn't help but make a DC movie universe joke with how dark Bizarro's colors were. Watching her and Supergirl fight was like watching old DC vs new DC.
And next week, we get the black mercy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad there is no Mongul. |
