Gokaiger was beloved by many fans for making a great tribute show to Their favorite Sentai but I think Most Sentai after Gokaiger doesn't have a same success as Gokaiger

Go-Busters didn't do well in a toy sale and I considered this sentai as THE MOST BORING SENTAI SHOW!

Kyoryuger wasn't about teamwork because they treated other ranger as Red Ranger's sidekick, I think this could the factor of why people are disappointed with THE FINALE

Apparently ToQger wasn't beloved by American Fans because they don't care about train (Well you made Kamen Rider Den-O who have a train popular enough that they got so many movie!) and didn't like the concept of imagination (Well you made FanFic based on your imagination)

Ninninger was a promised show but becoming disappointment show, I heard it got better in Second Half but the damage was done! I have no desire of watching Ninninger

Well considering I love both Go-Busters and ToQger and plenty of people liked Kyoryuger a lot, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the "mediocre Sentai curse" doesn't exist in terms of overall quality outside of your personal preferences.

If you mean "is Zyuohger going to break the downward spiral Super Sentai has in terms of ratings", I'm pretty confidently going to say no even though we're only three episodes in. That isn't a reflection on the show itself, but more that I genuinely don't see Sentai breaking away from that trend any time soon.

The question is how good are the toy sales going to be, and its far too early to tell right now.

Well, all Sentai that aren't Gekiranger are mediocre, so you could say that Sentai has been on something of a downward spiral since 2008-ish :p

As for Zyuohger, eh...I don't hate it. I feel it's an improvement over ToQ and Ninnin for me.

Daigo's Father, Dantetsu "abandoned" his son because his ability of hearing The Earth's Melody and realize Deboss Legion will return and need Torin and Dr. Ulshade's help of forming Kyoryuger and want his son to be a Kyoryuger on his own

Right's Mother wasn't big important character like Dantetsu but does play a role where not only she was the only family member realize that Right is missing but because her imagination is stronger than civilian that it break the darkness in ToQ Train I think

Takaharu's Grandfather, Yoshitaka was center of the show's mystery as why his family think he was dead when he look healthy Turn out, He was already DEAD and he have use End Shuriken to resurrect himself

Now let me explain of why I think Yamato's parents will play important role

This will be similar to Magiranger

His mother fall in love with Bird Man who I think might be Yamato's REAL Father but Bird Man left her and the mother remarried another man so Yamato could have a father around

In Magiranger, Miyuki was a normal human when she fall in love with Isamu who is a Heavenly Saint who was forbidden to fall in love with a normal human but he didn't follow the rule

Giving Zyuohger is the 40th Anniversary of Super Sentai, I could see them making a reference of Old Sentai Show

I think ToQ and Ninnin had higher ratings than Kyoryu. The toy sales have been in decline.

I think each show (including Go-Busters) has all had something really good going for it, hence why each season has people that will say "this is my favorite season on sentai and here is why".

You have your reasons for not liking Go-Busters and that is fine, but I think the action sequences were some of the best in the series' history. The close combat style and intense hits were great on screen. Gokai was good, but the best part of it was the cast of rangers and the constant tugging at the nostalgia strings. Other than than, that show could have quickly slipped into a "meh" season, but with the natural disaster and all the former cast members asking to come back, it kicked the show way up. That same disaster is something that also held Go-Busters back.

Kyoryu was bright, fast, and fun; I hated all the focus on Daigo and how everything and everyone revolved around him, but I still liked the show. Not in my top ten though, but it was still fun (my daughter learned the dance it was adorable).

ToQ had a great plot twist and villains were amazing.

Ninnin...hmm...I liked the season because each individual episode was entertaining, but the running plot was severely lacking. I know it was the writer's first go as a head writer and maybe he forgot that a season needs to all be connected. I still enjoyed the fights and the mecha battles.

I do agree that there has been a ton of focus on red rangers lately; hell, even Gokai made the connection of AkaRed to Marvy-chan. That doesn't seem to be stopping with Zyuoh, but at the same time, I don't think it will ever stop. The red ranger is the main character of the show. He is on all the toy boxes, all the promotional material, and is the first suit to be released. Red has a deep meaning in Japan and it only makes sense for the red ranger to be given so much responsibility. But with Daigo, it went too far, lol.

Don't worry, They NOT going Daigo on Yamato.

Yamato is more mature and responsible than Daigo, Right and Takaharu! Come On! He's NOT Daigo 4.0

I'm sure they will always make The Red Ranger the important character but I think they will give some spotlight to other Rangers

I liked ToQger too but Ninninger almost make me a former Sentai Fan. They couldn't undo the damage they did during the second half, I feel the head-writer wasn't ready to head write the show. I think Toei just rushed him to get the episode done.

Aside from not finding the focus on Daigo so bad myself, I would say Sentai has had a tendency to focus on red for years.

If we go back from Gokaiger, we have Alata being the star of Goseiger (though not as present as others), Takeru as the main focus of Shinkenger, Gekiranger being 90% Jan's story, Magiranger and Dekaranger also being mostly about Kai and Ban growing up etc.
While the degrees of focus certainly valued, Red focus has been a thing for so long. Even older series like Maskman mostly tell the story of their respective Red Ranger.

Personally, I enjoyed the last few years of Sentai a lot. While each show has their flaws, I can wholeheartedly say I liked everything they did the last few years. But then again, the last Sentai (chronologically) I didn't enjoy as much was Go-Busters, so as long as it's fun and entertaining, I'm in for pretty much everything.

Which Zyuohger do you look forward the most?

Yamato AKA Zyuoh Eagle the first Red Ranger who is more mature and responsible than Daigo, Right and Takaharu! I actually look forward about Yamato because how was he able to transform into a Zyuohger or gain an ability to see far away despite being a NORMAL human

Sela AKA Zyuoh Shark the first Blue Ranger who is a girl! We hasn't got a female blue ranger since MagiBlue! I heard this tomboy ranger doesn't want to show her weakness! I wonder why?

Leo AKA Zyuoh Lion the Yellow Ranger who is Comic Relief of Zyuohger! So he and Sela used to fight on a Zyuland Martial Arts Tournament. Will they be LOVERS or just be friends? Shark and Lion together?! Samuel L. Jackson didn't approve this because he got eaten by a shark!

Tusk AKA Zyuoh Elephant the Green Ranger who is the most intelligent Zyuman than others. in Episode 2, we see young Tusk with his father or family member. I wonder if his father or family member being very strict to Tusk to be the responsible Zyuman which could explain his serious attitude I think

Amu AKA Zyuoh Tiger the White Ranger who is less butt-monkey than Fuuka and more girly girl. She somewhat the only Zyuman who doesn't have a desire to return to Zyuland and prefer learning the human stuff. Okay.....

Is Zyuoh The World a human? Another Zyuman? or a Rogue Deathgalien?

Zyuoh The World seem very antagonistic than other Zyuohgers but we don't know much about this characters however I can do what will he be

1. Zyuoh The World as Another Zyuman

Zyuoh The World as Another Zyuman is very unlikely to happen because he have 3 different visors (Rhino, Wolf and Crocodile)

I don't think a Zyuman is suited for Zyuoh the World because there's too many Zyuman in Zyuohger! We don't want Yamato to feel like the Black Sheep of Zyuohger

2. Zyuoh The World as a Rogue Deathgalien

This could be an interesting one because most of Deathgaliens are seemed a cold-blooded killers who murdered lot and lot of innocent one

What if a Deathgalien went rogue because he couldn't stand them killing those poor people. He denounced his alliance with Deathgaliens and become a Zyuohger

But I don't think this will happen because they already use a same idea on ToQ 6Gou who was a former Shadow Line Monster, that leave us to....

3. Zyuoh The World as a human

I think this is likely to happens because Zyuoh The World doesn't have a Zyuoh Changer but he have Zyuoh The Light which is basically a flashlight transform device, he also got a rifle which is very odd for a Zyuohger because Animals don't use a rifle

I think Zyuoh The World will work better as a human because I just have a feeling that Zyuoh The World will be the loner-type.

Maybe Zyoh the World being a rogue Deathgalien would be better. Instead of being a player, he should be a former grunt who decided to desert the Deathgaliens after seeing their cruelty.

I feel the same way. Sentai is fun and entertaining. It has its flaws but everything does. I loved the Deadpool movie but it wasn't perfect. I think there are a ton of adult fans that are way too hard on sentai and PR. Having expectations are bad but the nitpicking does get a little extreme.

The only season of sentai I haven't enjoyed was Sun Vulcan, although I love the Vul Stick lol

Well, to be fair, a lot of adult Sentai fans did find that one special Sentai they hold in their heart that they felt went above and beyond what most Sentai put out.
So when a new Sentai comes out that they feel was completely lackluster, then another comes out that they feel never gave them something above mediocre, and on and on, it could feel that things are on a downward spiral.
For example, I got bored of Go-Busters early, I was disappointed by Kyoryu, I thought ToQ was dumb, and Ninnin was just not engaging to me, so that's 4 Sentai in a row that I just didn't enjoy.

I will agree that the complaining has been going a little too far, but after watching shows like Gekiranger, Dairanger, and Jetman, I feel Sentai can do so much more than having heroes screaming in front of the camera. So when I watch a current Sentai that doesn't live up to the standards Toei has already set with Sentai past, it can be a little disheartening.

Here's a question for those that know their Goranger: If they ever do a Goranger re-imagining film this year since they annouced it as "Super Hero Year" and they get Sentai alumni to play the five, who do you want to see in the cast?
I for one would like to see Nagahama(Akira/ToQ6's actor) as Akaranger and Nakata(Azard of Zyuohger, Bias of Liveman, Sir Cowler of Flashman) as the leader of the Black Cross Army.

I agree but the older shows (although still for kids) were more for families to watch together. Hey had a better time slot for the whole family to watch as a unit instead of just turning it on for the kids. I think sentai had a great run starting with Maskman and going through GoGo-V. They can do it again, but the aim of the show has shifted from entertainment for the whole family to pushing toys for kids. Go-Busters tried an old school style of story telling and it fell flat in toei's eyes due to toy sales.

Regardless, I think sentai is still entertainIng but just in a different way.

But the thing is, depending on when you joined the fandom, you will have watched many shows out of order and might have been in the lucky position to watch three shows to your liking in a row or something, while if you've watched those chronologically, it would have felt like some highlights in a long stretch of "meh".
I mean, a huge part of me not liking Boukenger that much was that I watched it after a bunch of series I happened to enjoy a hell lot and it just felt underwhelming compared to those. If I had watched it before those, or after a bunch of shows I didn't enjoy so much (say, Dairanger and Sun Vulcan), it might have felt much better.

To be fair, I actually kinda enjoyed the second half of Sun Vulcan. It improved a lot since Hiba took the place as Vul Eagle.

But then again, there is no Sentai I really hate or didn't have at least a bit of fun with.

What happens if one of actor get INJURED?

For example

The Red Ranger got a real-life knee injury and will put him out of 6-9 months. How would Toei do if the red ranger's actor got a bad injury

I guess I'm lucky in that way. I guess I just don't want to be seen as holding unrealistic standards for Super Sentai when I know the franchise can put out great things.

I've never found a Sentai I hated as well. I only found Sun Vulcan to be mind numbingly boring.

They'd probably replace him, or try to use clever filming and editing.
But since they don't do their own stunts, the likelihood of injury is pretty rare outside of plain ol' bad luck.

There are a ton of zyuman we don't see in the first episode but I don't worry about since the zyuman forms are still being used so far

The sing about "The kings of the hundred beasts" in the Opening (2nd verse) so, I guess it's save to say that there are at least 100 species of Zyuman xD

And we do already have animals that weren't present in the first episode as Cube animals, so I believe there's also Zyuman species for them as well. It's more that the producers probably didn't feel like investing so much time and money to create so many suits for such a short amout of screentime.

...Why would they not get paid? Of course they paid. Seriously man, think before you ask.

Couple things. First, they get paid. Those actors are professionals, and Toei isn't some tiny business that pays professionals just by letting them fulfill a dream. A schedule of shooting about 50 episodes plus a few films PLUS live events PLUS promotional work definitely means that the principal actors are getting paid.

But the "who pays them" question is a little trickier in Japan. In the United States, actors seeking work in the U.S. are (usually) represented by a talent agency that helps them find work, and also have membership within at least one actors' union: the biggest one is SAG-AFTRA, but there are others like AEG for different types of acting work. Generally, an actor works with an agent to find auditions, negotiates a contract (paying part of it to their agent) with producers or casting directors after accepting a part, and pays membership dues to their union; the union guarantees that actors are treated fairly and paid fairly. In general, actors are independent contractors that find more work / better work thanks to their agent and union. The more successful and popular an actor/actress is, the more clout he/she wields during negotiations.

In Japan things work a little differently, because the balance of power is shifted. In the U.S., the actor has *some* negotiating power. In Japan, talent agencies employ their actors more like a stable of talent and less like independent contractors. Because Japan's corporate culture usually has people sticking with one company for their entire lives, talent agencies will have their actors, musicians, and models stay with one agency forever, and the talent agency negotiates any and all work they're performing. Japan does have trade unions, but less than 20% of Japanese workers are union members, and they barely crack the entertainment industry at all. But even if they're working on a Toei production, the actors and actresses in Toku shows are probably only getting money from their talent agencies.

A few months ago, a Japanese boy band called SMAP caused a scandal when there was a rumor that one member of SMAP was leaving the talent agency. I say "boy band" sorta ironically because SMAP has been around almost 30 years. They're still with the same agency, making music every 2 or 3 years, because in Japan talent agencies hold way more power than the talent that they hire and SMAP will probably keep making music as SMAP until the agency decides to retire the name (even if all of its original members are dead). It's weird. The Japanese television, film, and music industries have this dark side to them that is rarely talked about in the Japanese media.

In my opinion, Gaoranger had raised the roof for Super Sentai back then

I personally feel that after Gokaiger, things got boring from Go-Busters until Ninninger. By the time it got to Zyuohger, the awesomeness had returned

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but even though Gokai is an entertaining season, on it's own (without the actors coming back) that show lacked a ton. I know they had an original story, but most got scrapped to accommodate all the actors that wanted to come back. I know there are people that legitimately love Gokai and think it is the best season, but I feel some say it's the best because they are looking through some pretty thick nostalgia goggles.

So far Zyuohger got a very positive reception early due of Red Ranger no longer a screaming guy, most of rangers beside Red get a focus episode too. The Villains are like the darkest villain of Modern Sentai Era because they willing to MURDER innocent civilians even kids!

I think this one will be more entertaining than Ninninger! I am not fan of Screaming Red Rangers. If I were the head-writer of any sentai show.

My Sentai Rules will be like this

Rule 1: NO SCREAMING RED RANGER.

Rule 2: Give some spotlight to Other Rangers

Second, these villains aren't that dark. The making friends fight with the winner having the guilt of the loser being lost in space was really cool though. It is still a kids' show after all.

Tres, you do realize that there is more at play when creating a sentai than just what the head writer wants, right? Like the tone change that is seen in Ohranger and Go-Busters was probably not by the decision of the head writer, but by Toei.
