Kill la Kill was a whiplash of over the top action, great art and ridiculous fanservice.
100% sold. |

That was crazy... looking forward to the next episode. :D |
So after a buddy of mine suggested a anime I check out, I watched the first episode, Ive marathoned to 10 now. :lol
Fairy Tail, yea its a great show so far. Natsu and Grey are cool characters. Lucy is the cute female lead. Happy is cool as a sidekick. Oh and Erza... -drool- Seriously, badass redhead? Hell yes! She also kicks ass, A LOT! |
Alright! New season of Magi is back and the animation is top-notch as ever. The writers do seem to know how to adapt elements of the manga faithfully while condensing some parts which is a good idea considering how much of a quagmire the conclusion to the Magnostadt arc was in terms of art. I hope for they don't try to adapt that part faithfully if at all.

Meanwhile in the Future!... Diary.
Episode 13: I swear this show keeps getting weirder and weirder... I knew Mao was gay for Hinata! :lol |
Anyone interested in Physics-defying Inazuma Eleven? XD

------------- First ep of Build Fighters, it's up to a good start. Good action and humor, and the relationship between Sei and Reiji will no doubt prove to be very interesting. But seriously what's the deal with Reiji!? |

Build Fighters was okay. Of the preshow suits shown, Build Strike is the least interesting to me, so I'm waiting to see some of the rivals in action (mostly X Mao and Sengoku Astray). Also, after I attempted to watch Valvrave the Liberator last week, anything Gundam looks like a masterpiece. Even G-Savior (which seems to be absent from the "All Gundam" thing). PS I did get a laugh out of Ramba Ral showing up out of no where. :lol |
I'm going to start Full Metal Panic! soon. Anything i should be on the look out for?

Rewatching the Cardfight Vanguard anime.

I stumbled across the first 10 minutes of Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai
and i feel dirty now because of it... |

PS It will leave you wanting more and sadly that's only in novel form at this point. Seriously, I want The 3rd Raid! |
Checkout the first episode of Build Fighters. Not bad, but if my gunpla was gonna get wrecked in one of those fights I probably just wouldn't bother :p

Well, I finished Anohana, and I'm actually not overly impressed. I can definitely see why people like it as much as they do, but I couldn't get into it myself. No tears, nothing. Ah well.

I thought that the Build was boring and lazy at first, but it really has grown on me. Next episode is Amazing Zaku, but once that's done I really want to see the crazier designs, especially Fenice. Valvrave makes Gunpla advertisement look like a masterpiece. :lol The G-Savior is apparently being re-released btw. Quote:

So a friend of mine got me into Tokyo Mew Mew... Long story short I now have a new reason to love wolves. :D

What I took from it was… …if people from Saint Seiya suddenly decided to play soccer and insisted they kept the armours. |

Is the original any good? |
Quote:
Not too sure if it's good but I'm enjoying it. :lol |

Neato, I really don't remember it much. Glad you are enjoying it. |

*Guy whispers in guncannon's ear* WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'SS OVER FIFTY EPISODES LONG! |
Have you ever been in a situation where you wanted to watch anime but didn't know what series to check out? Well look no further, because from this day forward I the great guncannon109 shall be providing weekly anime recommendations every Monday! So if you're starved for anime, be sure to check one of the two that I shall be putting forward. :D
To start things of, for the mecha fans out there I recommend my personal favorite anime of all time, Eureka Seven. http://static1.minitokyo.net/view/36/28/118936.jpg However, if you're not so much a fan of giant robots and looking for something a little bit more dark and gritty then you can check out Shakugan No Shana. Keep in mind that the dub changes its cast between the first and second seasons so just a heads up http://cdn.animewallpaperz.com//anim...-no-shana2.jpg Hope whoever is looking for something to watch finds something in either of these great shows. But if not hey, check back next week. :D |
^Eureka Seven I do need to watch, but Shana never grabbed me...
Looking forward to your future recommendations. :D |
Define "Dark and gritty," please.

Anyway, yeah you really need to watch Eureka Seven. Hope you enjoy it. :D |

Edit: Oh and if you need any motivation Matrix the lead character Shana is played by Tabitha St. Germain for the first season. |

Additionally, creep my out how? Is it due to strange or grotesque imagery, dark story elements, or what? And don't do that me. You know it's hard for me to say no to that :lol |

Finished episode 1 of build fighters and it was a blast to watch.
Yeah it had that yugioh quality to it but it didn't seem to be taking itself too seriously. There's a lot of fan service, and it's VERY surreal watching a Gundam getting taken out by grunt suit. |

I ask because I despise fanservice humor. As in, stop a series mid-episode and never look back levels of complete hatred, and that is an extremely popular form of humor too many an anime fall back on. Quote:
On a scale of one to ten, with one being Slenderman, and ten being the thing from Amnesia wearing a pig mask as it gropes the human centipede, how creepy is it? Quote:

If you want something dark. I recommend The Future Diary

Fun Fact:My first experiences with anime were Superbook and Scamper the Penguin.
|
I ended up watching the first episode of Tokyo Ravens... I don't know why, but whatever.
Everybody blushed, all the time. There was also something about magic, but it was compeltely overshadowed by dem blushes. |
So I checked out the first episode of Godannar, as I love super robot shit and was told this was good.
And eh... it roared past in a blur of gratuitous fanservice, leaving my head spinning as I tried to desperately piece together what the hell was going on. Still, minus that problem, and the general lack of originality, I did actually quite enjoy this episode. It was old school, well animated, the mechs were cool and the action was epic. |
Blaz Blue: It seems like this is going to be one of these shows that is only enjoyable to the game's fans (ironic, considering that episode 2 preview consisted of Ragna hoping to break away of the jinx of adaptations :lol).
I liked it, as the word of Blaz Blue has always interested me, but it seems they tried to show as many characters as possible in so little time. Explaining as little as possible. It has potential, it's just overbearing right now. |

You know its a lousy production when they can't even be bothered to make an OP sequence. |
