The lack of alternate forms in modern Rider S.H.Figuarts makes me sad simply because Lightning Hornet will probably not happen.

The suit is so good and the wings paired with a hornet sting Rider Kick effect part would look sick.

The kicker is I've already got one in progress.

Which naturally means that no sooner will it be complete and comfortably positioned on my shelf that they turn around and announce a Seihou.

Insignificant, an official release cannot compare to a one-of-a-kind item made specifically for you. That one will forever be unique, and most important, more personal than any Bandai-made figure could be.

I'd love to see human SHFs too, but I think it's very improbable. Unless the character is iconic, like Hongo Takeshi, or SUPER IMMENSELY MEGA popular, like Dan Kuroto, I don't think a human character will get an SHF release. Even SHF Ankh human form was only recently announced. If a series or character is able maintain its popularity LONG after its airing, then maybe we can get the human character SHF release.

Nothing yet that I've seen. But we've come a long way since the Armor Plus line and the OG Gaim figures, so I want to see if I can still make something work...

Tamashii announced a "Cyber Fes" today; it starts February 21st. Basically a digital version of their big event in October. So expect a few more reveals. Kamen Rider Zero-One is listed as a featured brand so I’d say chances are good that we're getting our first look at the lineup beyond the figures revealed so far there.

I'm interested to see what Seihous they have up their sleeves. Den-O forms would be the obvious call, but I'm wondering... will we see Faiz or Ryuki?

Considering Sword can switch between Gun, I assume Rod and Axe will likewise be a dual release.

I really hope we get Liner Form. The only and proper Den-O final form IMO.

I really hope that if they do a Climax Form, it comes with an optional 'chou' wing backpack. But that's likely too much to hope for.

I think it's too early for the next main Rider release to be shown. They usually only happen after the current one is released.

If there's new Seihou it's probably Den-O related. But personally I don't want to expect too much, I don’t know how much ammunition they have barely 4 months after their big event.

For Rider I only really expect new Zero-One releases, like Shining (Assault) Hopper, Assault Wolf and maybe, just maybe even Thouser.

What I want most out of Den-O is a Zeronos figure that can change into Vega form. That would be awesome.

If we get lucky, we get listing prices for ZI-O Trinity and (hopefully) any one of the Build figures we got shown. (Build Genius, Cross-Evol, and Prime Rogue.)

Hopefully they can show a new Netflix Ultraman Ace figuarts as well.

You're right. Dark Kiva was shown during Tamashii Nations' last event. Kinda weird though because in the show he appeared the last. Ixa and Saga appeared earlier, yet only Saga got prototyped. And it was like 4 or 5 years ago! :eek: Ixa and Saga with SHF SS Kiva articulation & proportion would be DOPE. :cool:

Your prediction makes sense. They're gonna announce list prices for figures exhibited on the last event and show off the prototypes of newer characters. My priority: Horobi & Valkyrie. Oh and Thouser prototype will definitely look 1000% GLORIOUS. :D

I feel you, man. Although Birth is my priority, I'd also really love to buy all OOO combo forms. They all look simple yet stunning. But as much as I love them, reality has proven otherwise: The new elbow & knee joint system is a joke. :( Probably THE BIGGEST joke I've seen in my hobby of action figure collecting. :( They're so fragile that it's hard NOT to have them break. They :eek: WILL :eek: break, especially the elbow joint. It's only a matter of time & luck. :eek:

They MUST investigate this issue before releasing other SS lines. But after seeing them double down on the new joint system with the release of SHF SS Den-O, we can safely assume that that's not the case.

I honestly haven't had an issue with the SS OOO joints breaking on me. They feel pretty sturdy.

And speaking on the Shinkocchou Seihou stuff, I'd REALLY like them to tackle two things: the rest of the Kabuto riders and at least give us base form Ixa and Saga on top of the Dark Kiva already revealed. I'm also gonna need Birth....and probably the other Agito riders, especially G3 and G3-X.

They do "feel" pretty sturdy, but from risk management standpoint, they are NOT sturdy. They are like a house of cards: FRAGILE.

Seeing the announcement of SHF SS Agito Ground Form, five years ago I sold ALL my Agito riders, feeling overjoyed to finally hear that the riders from my favorite Heisei phase 1 series would get the prestigious SS treatment. :o Five years later: we still only get SHF SS Agito Ground Form? :eyebrow Does Bandai forget the existence of one of the most toyetic Riders in the whole KR franchise, the G riders? :confused: It's not that the SHF SS Agito Ground Form sold poorly.

I not to excite for the event. O joints breakin I lost a lot of faith in bandai Seiohu line. It like they cheap with the plastic and they don t care. I just not sure what to believe with qc anymore. With den-o release soon I think there be more qc like ooo sadly with parts swapping.

For those super worried about the SS OOO, I've been playing with mine since its release with no issues. If you wanna be super careful about it then just don't swap the forearms and you'll be fine.

The problem is NOT the forearm-swapping gimmick, but the JOINT itself. To be precise: the (much) smaller width compared to the old system. Take any of your SHF with the old system and compare the difference in joint thickness with the new system. The old system is sturdy, while the new system is very fragile. This is because on the new system they split the joint to give additional 30-40 degrees of lower arm swivel. By splitting, they make the component smaller, thus reducing the structural strength and increase the fragility. You know the difference in strength between a 7 mm plastic rod and a 3,5 mm plastic rod. What the forearm-swapping gimmick does is merely compounding the initial fragility.

In short: a BLUNDER. :eyebrow

And yet 99% of the reports on the breaks have been about it happening when swapping the forearms. Yes, the joint is thinner, but just simply regularly articulating it with care like you would any other figure hasn't seemed to cause anything, atleast not for me nor the majority talking about it.

So.. What? You want us to completely ignore the accessories of the forearms and thus limiting our posing choices? Then why didn't Bandai just omit the forearm gimmick entirely and give us the bracelet-styled claws like the 1.0 SHF? Or just give us the regular SHF joint.

FangJoker has the same gimmick as SS OOO EXCEPT it doesn't have the over-engineered forearms and no one has reported ANY of their problems with it. Adding this much complexity and structural fragility all for the sake of a tiny wiggle in the arm which is useless since a bicep swivel exists just doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm damn lucky I found out about the SS OOO breakage issues before I even got the figure. And thank god I got him for a steal of only 46$ and free shipping and no issues. Guess the guy wanted it out of his house badly. I went ahead and added dishwashing soap on the elbow and sanded down the peg so that switching the forearms out are a breeze. Although, I still have fears that it might break on me one day.

And clearly, this problem isn't isolated on us folk too. Even japanese modelers who take apart their SHFs to make customs off of and have the most delicate of hands as possible still suffer the same fate.

I'm seriously tempted to buy a Body-kun and switch out the forearms just so I could avoid the depression that follows after the forearm of my favorite Kamen Rider suit (and the show that got me back into this franchise) gets mutilated in front of me.

I'm not getting the SS Den-O because it features this. I'm getting the Figure-rise one coming out soon. I almost had a heartattack when I first saw the listing images of SHF Vulcan and thought he had the same joints.

Last Monday I saw Ultraman Ginga available in stock as well as Victory being discounted, bought them both alongside pre-ordering Geed thougj sadly they won't arrive till May/June. And what a turn of events, I got the opportunity to buy Orb Origin as well, and just like that I'm about to have all 7 NG Ultramen lol.

Wonder how long will it take them to start doing Heisei Ultraman Figuarts. I'd imagine the earliest we'll get is 2021 announcement since it's the franchise's anniversary.

We'll have Horobi up for pre-order late January if I'm correct, Valkyrie probably February. So I don't think they'll use this event to announce release dates, more likely just to show figures currently in development.

If you're that scared of breaking the elbows, then yes, that's unfortunately a hit you have to take, considering it's the combination of the thinner joint as well as the swapping mechanic that results in most of the breaking. Does it suck? Absolutely. Should we pretend the issue doesn't exist? Of course not. But it's unfortunately the reality of the situation that it does exist, and thus if you want to have and articulate the figure you're gonna need to make a compromise somewhere. Yeah, it blows, but it's also nowhere near as bad as "If you so much as look at the elbows they'll break!" like what alot of Zolda's' posts around the boards have suggested.

Hobby Dengeki released listing images and prices for SHF Horobi. 6,060 yen (tax not included) and is set for June 2020. P-Bandai. He comes with the usual hands, and the attache arrow.

Anyway, this pretty much confirms that Valkyrie is the third retail rider. Unless they pull a Ghost and Ex-Aid and have the upgrade form be the retail rider which is Shining Hopper. OR, maybe Thouser?

Anyway, gonna have to order Horobi asap. Glad he comes with the Attache Arrow. But it also just makes Jin's late release and early pre-order period all the stranger with Horobi coming before him.

Lol, if that was the case, then I'd be happy to sell my Rising Hopper afterwards and save a little bit more money for Thouser. I don't know, I just prefer Shining over Rising.

I'm 50/50 of this being the case since it happened with Drive, Ghost, and Ex Aid's figuarts line but Build and ZI-O's line had three different characters. (Unless Cross-Z charge counts as the third retail rider as an upgrade form.) And there's also the case that Valkyrie is a femalel rider since Toei/Bandai aren't so confident in their in their female riders, she might be relegated to P-Bandai. This leaves Shining Hopper or Thouser as the third retail rider. Thouser is kinda unlikely tho as he his a late addition.

Sadly Max is pretty ignored due to the fact that he tends to be overshadowed by other Heisei Ultras because of their immense popularity. He's basically 80 of the Heisei Ultramen. So it'll be a while before they make Max lol.

Hmmmmm I should try and get Ultraman Zero as well if he's available.
