It's just that people won’t go all-in anymore which isn't surprising considering how much these things cost nowadays, so they play it safe by only releasing main and sometimes secondary Riders at retail.

Also, Tamashii has way more licenses nowadays than back then, which means they need more retail space for other things.

Yes, Accel and Skull didn’t do too hot. Which is probably why most Seihou secondary Riders are Web-Exclusives nowadays no matter how well the main Rider performed sales-wise.

That was it, yes. They specifically mentioned Prime Rogue by name and that it was decided to sell him. When and if that still happens remains to be seen though.

Damn, if that's the case, I'm torn between getting either Thouser or Prime Rogue as I'm only willing to buy a P-Bandai rider only this once this year.

That’s what I was getting at; obviously the main riders’ base forms vanish within seconds, but SHF riders as a whole beyond that don’t seem to get picked up as much. Vulcan’s currently sold out on HLJ, so maybe that’s not as true as before...

Though there is, also, the factor of Too Many Forms. Back in the day OOO only had 7 show forms, 2 secondary riders and a scorpion to sell before you got to your misc forms and movie stuff and kaijin, but now Rider is intent on shoving as many toys at the audience as possible. The sheer excess would be impossible to keep up with even if SHF were better about this

Oh, how I would LOVE to get SHFs of Another Wizard, Kabuto, Den-O, and ZI-O. And Alien Evolt.

I'm still kinda pissed that they didn't integrate some form of armor swap for Zero-One for the SHF and then have, say, Flying Falcon, Biting Shark, and Flaming Tiger as a P-Bandai armor set for 30-40$. Would've been neat.

I still do kinda wish they did more than three retails for each rider season. Just have the primary, secondary, and tertiary rider, and then either the main rider's upgrade form or the fourth rider. That's what they did for Ex-Aid, Drive, and Gaim's lines.

But with Jin, Horobi, and Valkyrie all having equal chances of being the third retail rider but aren't. We'll see. They've been generous already for Zero-One's weapons. Maybe they'll give us Shining Hopper and Thouser as retail.

No Prime Rogue (Who is literally the only Build rider form they haven't released in the Tamashii Nations 2018 reveals), no Shining/Assault Hopper/Vulcan, and no Thouser.

Valkyrie's going up for pre-order too.

Can't say for sure, but I think it's pretty likely due to how SS release tend to release secondary Riders with the exception of Agito so far. This also goes the same to a hypothetical SS IXA, as well as Zeronos. Especially Zeronos since he has the same base as Den-O.

Yeah, Birth seems guaranteed. At the point they seem confident in putting out friggin Ratoratah you can certainly expect Birth.

I've seen a fair amount of speculation that Birth would include half the Birthday weapons, and Birth Prototype would come with the other half. It would be incredibly annoying, but with modern SHF; I can't say it's entirely unrealistic.

I'm willing to bet this will be the case. I would be surprised if we get even Drill arm. but maybe they'll do that to entice us to get the birthday scorpion.

I saw a White Ranger Figuarts on Amazon for about $30 ($40 including shipping). Is it worth it? Or should I just wait for the Lightning Collection to be available in my country?

Anyway somewhat off topic, but to those who have watched his reviews, what happened to ShukuenShinobi? He's occassionally active and it seems like life got hard for him. Poor guy, he's the guy that introduced me to Figuarts.

ShukuenShinobi does not do youtube reviews any more. He stop a few years ago around 2017 or 2016. He had a lot of things going on in life like having trouble finding a job and keeping up paying bills. Also he quit doing figuarts reviews as well. You can follow him on twitter if you like yeah that just about it. I use to watch his reviews and they were a lot of fun he a really cool guy who enjoys getting new sentai stuff also like his Pokémon box opening which is fun as well.

Depends on what you're looking for. The Figuart is better in terms of finer details and accessory count, but the LC is better in terms of proportions and articulation.

Idk man. The LC has really weird and gummy plastic, has weird creases, and just too big.

That's a shame. I watched his Figuarts review last night abd it's very nostalgic. He did mention in his Vlog that he doesn't see himself as a YouTuber so that's why he doesn't get monetization. Plus we all know YouTube is stingy with monetizations now so it probably doesn't help.

Honestly I just want a White Ranger figure. Waiting for LC to come to my country, and I don't wanna import one for about $35. Also LC is likely the better figure, Figuarts didn't cone with many. Although if I get the Figuarts I can pose it alongside Tyrannoranger and Dragonranger.

It's a Hasbro figure, the plastic quality to be expected(unfortunately). They're also meant to scale with other (US) domestic figures which are typically around 6.5 inches rather than the solid 6-inch of imports. And the creases are meant to portray someone actually being in the suit, rather than the "suit as skin" aesthetic of figuarts.

It's all personal preference of course, but it's good to know what you're getting into when it comes to stuff like this.

Other thing to consider is, do you have any interest in getting a complete team or do you just want a standalone figure? Current market on the MMPR/Zyuranger SHFs means that it's going to be far more feasible to go for the LC versions, but if you just want solo representation, the SHF has you more than covered.

I got my first Shonkocchou Seihou, Kuuga Decade ver. Yeah I don't care about Onodera, but I am a sucker for metallic paint, plus technically 'Godai' wears the suit in recent crossovers anyway so you can still consider him as Godai.

That being said holy shit no wonder why Shinkocchou Seihou is so premium, because he is. I found a Kiva, I hope nobody buys him until then, because right now I'm collecting money to buy him, Ultraman Zero, and MG V2 Assault Buster ver. Ka

Happy to hear you're enjoying this figure, the original Kuuga was my first Seihou. But Kiva - Kiva is the best one they've made IMO, he's awesome. I hope you will be able to get it.

In the impossibly off chance I pick up any of OOO combo forms, I think I'm gonna go with Tajador, Putotyra, or Shauta just so I could enjoy an entirely 'new" figure instead of buying Gatakiriba and Latoratah who have 1/3 of TaToBa. Also, because those three are my favorite forms + Burakawani who is absolutely never gonna happen.

Also, is the new Ankh Hand worth it or should I just hunt down the old one? I need a "monster" Ankh Stand-in until Bandai gives me a renewal of his Greeed form.

Yeah the SS line in general is really good. I only have Kuuga, Daguva, and OOO, but I've been pleasantly surprised with each one I've gotten. Though I have heard there were a few lackluster ones(though which ones exactly I can't remember off the top of my head).

Speaking of Burakawani, if they do make an SS figure out of him(which I really hope they do otherwise the lack of completion will kill me), I really hope they let you swap its parts with other forms. Yeah, it never happened in the movie, but there's nothing suggesting it CAN'T be combo-swapped like with PuToTyra.

Depends. Do you plan to get Human Ankh? If not, then the old one is fine. If you do, nab the new one so you have more display options.

I never really did care much for his SHF Human form despite how gorgeous it looks. Much more interested in his Greeed form.

Plus, I want his hand so I can stick it on any Figma I own and get some hilarity out of it.

TIL that SS OOO elbows have been around for a long time now and were present in the Street Fighter SHFs and was named the "Fighting Body" elbows.

Also, guys! In the chance that any of your SHF Wrist Joints break (RIP SHF Eternal 1.0 original wrist joints), Bandai's HGBC No Name Rifle and the Binder Gun comes with these TINY ball-on-a-peg joints that can fit inside a SHF arm and the ball (to my experience) is big enough to fit a SHF hand like the original. Granted, you lose some of the mobility of an actual SHF Wrist joint but it's better than nothing.

If it's true that it's the same as the fighting body elbows, then yeah, that pretty much confirms that the reported breaks are due to bad QC, because I have never once had, nor have most others I've seen, those elbows break on any other figures that use them.

Case in point: Nearly all of the Dragon Ball SHFs.

Really? Almost all of the DragonBall SHFs use the same regular SHF Joint. But yeah, I've seen the SHF Street Fighters and I haven't seen them break as well.

Is SHF Kiva-la good? I'm aiming to get Kiva and Decade someday, and having Kiva-la alongside them would look good.

She looks pretty good! I'm still hunting her down to this day! The only thing weird is that she's a smaller figure compared to Decade. Tho, Poppy lies in the same size as her too.
