What's a "Megaforce?"
I'm being facetious, I do know what those things are.

It's what you call an adaption when you're putting no actual effort into it.

technically tensou roughly translates to heavenly armed.
which works for the goseigers because they're angels.

and not for an annoying robot that you just wish would shut the hell up.

I know I'll be in the minority on this, but I actually prefer Tensou over Alpha. Both are mostly useless sidekick robots to give the talkin heads someone to talk to while the Rangers are out actually doing shit, but Tensou is one I can stand.

If it wasn't for Tensou, I would be fastforwarding through every scene involving Gosei. Hell, Gosei is why I passed on the Megaforce morpher. I loved the series, but I don't think I could stand to have a replica of that guys face in my collection.

Tensou could have been the necessary armament for the Ultra Gosei Great Megazord. In the toys, they used some weird little jet glider things. In the show, Gosei Great suddenly had the necessary parts to ensure all the Zord Brothers combined with it. Cutting out Datas Hyper is one thing, leaving us without explanation regarding a combination is another. Tensou could have covered this be transforming into the required parts. It also would have meant a Deluxe Tensou toy. They should have used Tensou or just cut that combination out like everything else.

P.S.: "Ultra Gosei Great Megazord" is a terrible name.

Alpha does all the work. Zordon is the useless one.

Alpha, while not a unique name, was at least a clever name to play on the part that the sidekick was a robot.

Gosei and Tensou was an attempt to "Sentai fans will love this!" in to a show that ended up being barely watchable.
